Karib continues to glower at the fallen kobold but as Smoke moves by he pauses. "You are hurt," he says, his tone distracted but he focuses his attention on the wounds. Drawing a deep breath his hand reaches out to Smoke as if to call upon Gond's aid, but pulls back. "I am weary; Are you up for one more exploration?"
OOC: Is the party moving back up the stairs toward that side chamber? Giving some more time for Smoke and Yevele to provide any input, and for Smoke to respond to Karib, before botting and resolving.
Smoke will have collected his thrown dagger at the kobolds and move to follow Karib and Rogram as they carry the meat.
As Karib approaches him making him look at his own wounds another time. As am i, perhaps i have some magic left in me. It would be best to tend to my wounds.
The tabaxi will then moves his hands over his wounds Keep the evil at bay and make these wounds go away. as a small glow of light appears from under his hands and as he moves them away he wipes of some blood revealing some of the wounds have stopped bleeding.
He then picks up his daggers in both hands looking to Karib. I am prepared. and prepares to follow the group once more making sure he stays at the back.
Casting Healing Word on myself for 8 hp (in game log). Have not marked of a spellslot or added the hp atm.
OOC: Who is leading the party back up the stairs? Sorry to drag this out, but the details could be important here - Smoke and Yevele have indicated they are hanging back, so is Karib leading the foray back up the stairs while carrying a kobold, with Rogram behind him helping him carry the slab of meat?
OOC: Using the dragging rules, with his STR score Karib would be able to carry either the slab or the kobold, but with assistance from Rogram he can carry both. His speed would drop to 5 feet per turn because it's past his normal encumbrance, but that's basically just flavor right now.
Karib, with help from Rogram, handles the excess weight easily enough, but the same can't be said for the stairway, which crumbles beneath the cleric's feet on the way up. The slight tremor causes a shockwave effect in the poorly constructed tunnel, and rubble pours from the ceiling into the middle of the stairway atop Rogram and Yevele's heads. As the clamor subsides, the pair stand, albeit bruised and battered.
The rubble is not so thick to clog the tunnel, however, and you are able to continue forward onto the flat landing, with one chamber to the side, and another set of stairs leading upward.
Rogram shakes his head, hoping any rubble that might have caught in his beard is loosed. He looks up at Karib and then back at Smoke and Yevele. "What was that?"
OOC: Correct, this is the same room that you've attempted to sneak past each time you've gone by (last time, only Smoke declared he wanted to move stealthily, but you still moved past it without issue).
Karib looks about, shrugging awkwardly under the weight. "Bad engineering," he says. As he pauses and readjusts his load, he looks west, then turns to the others, pointing west.
Waving his hand in front of his face to clear away some dust in the air he looks around. Is everyone ok?
Once he made it past the rubble he responds to Karib in a whisper. We did not, we first got here after we found you. But Yevele got a look the first time we passed here and there were many kobolds there.
Smoke will try to check if everyone else is ok and move stealthy behind the group if they proceed.
(Yevele alerted us to them here , seems longer ago then i thought)
Karib frowns, remembering the ten kobolds, then considers the bodies that have piled up since. Turning to Rogram, he nods. "Aye, first things first. Dare say there's not many left in there now, though." He starts to move off again back toward the roper. "More food, if nothing else," he adds grimly.
As you speak, a pair of bleary-eyed kobolds wanders out of the side chamber. At the sight of the party dragging a slab of meat and a dead kobold up the stairs, they reach for their slings, barking a series of shouts into the chamber behind them.
For Smoke:
In Draconic, the kobolds have shouted, "Get up! Intruders to kill!"
Round 1 Order: Players <===== Kobolds
Placement: All combatants are within movement range.
Health: Yevele is severely wounded. Rogram is badly wounded. Karib is wounded. Smoke is lightly wounded.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rogram drops the meat and walks straight to the closest kobold, drawing his sword as he does so. With a downward flourish, he swings at the kobold and then holds his sword in a defensive position.
Attack: 18 Damage: 8
If the attack hits: Bonus: bardic inspiration for defensive flourish: 5 added to the above damage and AC until my next turn
Hearing the kobolds shout Smoke quickly runs up to them calling the others Hurry, they are calling for backup!
Wielding his daggers he lunges forward and tries to stab one with it in the throat then with his offhand he tosses his other dagger to the other kobold hoping to stop it as well.
As his dagger leaves his hand he tries to glance ahead into the darkness to see if he can see other kobolds. If the kobold he is engaged with falls he will attempt to back away using his Feline agility to get some distance.
Movement: To the nearest kobold (and back if it falls) Action: Dagger attack (crit) Tohit 27 dmg 10 (see roll thread) Bonus Action: Dagger attack (offhand) Tohit 10 dmg 1 (see roll thread)

Rogram sheathes his sword and picks up the other end of the meat to help carry it back to the roper.

Yevele will hang back towards the rear with Smoke, keeping her bow ready for any additional foes they might encounter.

(( @DM: Could Karib, str 15, carry both? That was the original intention -- he's already unstealthy. Rogram has usually been out scout. ))
OOC: Rogram isn't expecting danger since they're re-entering the room they just left. Currently he's following Karib on the back end of the slab.
(( Happy with that also; let's just get moving ))
