The "shopping" takes the better part of the evening. Night has fallen by the earliest time you are able to venture out. It's up to the party here how long you'd like to wait before heading out. Feel free to RP anything else in town and discuss when to leave. Once a decision has been made, I will advance!
Thrax turns to Rogram and asks gently "Perhaps its best if we venture out at first light. More difficult to track our prey in the dark, and yet I don't expect they'll be subtle enough to have not left a trail we'll be able to find come first light. We could all use the rest, especially knowing what we are going against."

Rogram doesn't like it, and his face and posture show this, but with everyone else advising to wait, he will acquiesce. "First light," he says, sounding almost demanding. He takes a few breaths and then appears calmer. "Do you all have a place to stay tonight? You are more than welcome to stay in my father's home. I only have two beds, but the roof is sound, and the walls will provide protection."
"Rogram's home would probably be the best place for all of us. We would all be together, and able to get an early start."
Before heading over to Rogram's, Yevele will seek out the Governor to ask if there is anything else they need to know, and let him know they will be departing directly from Rogram's place in the morning.
Thia nods her sincere thanks to Rogram, "Anywhere with a roof over my head is fine by me. You are most kind. Let's all get a proper night's sleep without the threat of raiders and put this terrible raid behind us. Tomorrow we can face the future together where we are in control."
"I have nothing else for you," Governor Nighthill answers Yevele before responding to Smoke, "I do not, and I do not know anything more than the direction that the army was heading in their retreat. I cannot imagine, however, that their path will be difficult to follow. They were many, and they left en masse."
An uncomfortable night descends upon the town of Greenest, the first that its citizens have spent outside of the well-defended walls of the keep since the attack. Despite the tension, the dawning sunlight soon floods into the home of Greenest's blacksmith, waking you all for the journey to come.
OOC: Anything else to do in Greenest, or any RP that anybody wants to get in before continuing? Once the party has confirmed the next action, I will advance!
Thia rises from a restful night's sleep and helps herself to a filling breakfast at Rogram's family's expense. If I'm going to die today, may as well do it on a full belly. She seeks out the dwarf and thanks him, again, for his hospitality. "Thank you Rogram, for the roof, bed and food. It was kind of you. Are you ready to go and seek our destiny?"
Once the group are gathered, maybe over breakfast, she will address everyone. "I have lost a friend. Hopefully, she is just missing and not dead, but she was somehow caught up with these dragon cultists. I tracked her here from the Misty Forest and there's no sign of her here so my next move is to see if she is a prisoner at their camp. Her name is Talis." I just hope she's a prisoner and not done something hotheaded like joined them. She always was a feisty one. "So I have an extra reason to want to seek out where these raiders have gone and what they are up to."
"Remind me," she prompts the group. "There are others here seeking lost friends or acquaintances. Who are we looking out for and what's their story?"
Rogram made his home as welcoming as possible as soon as the others arrived. Due to there only being two small beds — and as Rogram was raised by a human mother to favor the "weaker sex" — the beds were given to the females, and the three males bunked on the floor. But there were pillows and blankets enough to make small pallets, so it was still better than sleeping on the hard ground. In the morning, the half-dwarf raided their household stores to make a hearty breakfast. He is no gourmet, but since his mother's death, he's had to learn how to cook, since his father can't boil a pot of beans without ruining them. His aunt saw to Rogram's learning enough in the kitchen to keep the two males fed by Rogram's hands.
After Thia's proclamation, Rogram speaks up, "My father, uncle and aunt, of course. All three are full dwarf, unlike me, so they're all a little shorter than me. All three have beards, though my aunt's is trimmed short. My father has long, black hair with some gray in it, but he's mostly bald on top. He has a large nose, like I do. Big chest and arms. Bigger than me. He always looks ... a bit sad." He says the last part with a hint of regret. "My uncle has long hair, too, but his is brown instead of black. He hurt himself at the mill recently, so he's walking with a limp. He's not as big as my father, but still strong. My aunt is round and usually very cheery. She has long, light brown hair. She's very loud. I swear, sometimes I can hear her yelling at Uncle Dorgol to come home for supper, and their house isn't anywhere near here. She's a trained jeweler and wears a necklace she made herself. It is silver with a black opal stone charm surrounded by what appears to be haphazard filigree, but when you hold it just so in the light, it creates her family's coat of arms in its shadow." Rogram pauses as if caught in the daydream. Blinking, he looks up at Thia. "Er, well, that's who I'm looking for."
"I'm looking for another monk named Lao Te. He saved me from several years ago. I received a letter from him, asking for assistance in Greenest. I don't know if he is also tracking the marauders, or if he is their prisoner. I doubt the latter. He is a much better fighter than I am, but, if he was caught unawares . . ."
After a long, awkward pause the young woman continues "I'm sure we'll able to track down all of our missing friends and relatives. But, maybe it is time we hit the road."
Smoke's face will clearly show he is not pleased with sleeping on the makeshift beds on the floor. Specially after expressing that a bed real would be desired. His thoughts wander as he tries to fall asleep. Perhaps Rogram felt he was a lesser ally. How could Smoke not deserve a bed after all. Whatever the reason was he would not forget this great injustice done to him.
At breakfast he is a bit quiet at first but as the others tell about their reasons to be here Smoke opens up as well. Im not here to search someone specifically.
Smoke pauzes a moment fiddling his hand inside a bag but taking nothing out. The husband of Alysanne, someone who meant a lot to me, was killed by the cult of the dragon. Their trail has led me here. Looking up with determination in his face I hope to uncover why it happend and perhaps even who.
Smoke looks up at Thia at the mention of that name.
He grinds his teeth a moment hesitating. I wasnt always adventurous. I was without purpose really. No longer having the life that i was used to .. i well i was lost. Just passing time by sharing tales with those travelling through Daggerford and guiding some people through the Misty Forest for coins to sustain my lifestyle.
He looks back down to his bag
Thats where i met her.She was hired as a guard along with some of her companions and i.. i was there guide in the Misty Forest. I did not understand why someone would give their life for others. Such fragile creatures.. He looks at his own hand and at some of the others who still have some visible wounds.
The people that hired us wanted to go deep into the forest, the journey took days and was dangerous. In that time i got to know her a bit. They got what they wanted and we headed back, we thought the worst was over. Smoke closes his eyes a moment.
We were ambushed. A horrible battle followed and she could of ran.. i wanted to but she.. she stayed and fought. I tried to help as best i could and she finally drove the monsters away but suffered many wounds and some other guards died. She saved those that hired us for sureAs he says this his eyes are still closed but he narrows his eyes and turns his face every now and then as he clearly visualises his memories.
He opens his eyes again finally taking his hand on of the bag pulling out the lock of golden blond hair. She .. had suffered to many wounds... The way back took to long...He falls silent after that just fiddling with the hair as some tears fall across his furry cheeks.
I felt ashamed to not be as brave. Its not that i didnt want to but im not as strong as i.. im not strong. Travelling to her hometown to her hometown to inform her husband was the least i could do. When i found out he had been murdered i knew i had to take action. A test of character.
I started training and well made my way here, perhaps some day i can be more like she was.Alysanne After saying her name he stays silent.
Thia rises and in an uncharacteristic display of empathy places a consoling hand on the tabaxi's shoulder. She then moves off and looks wistfully out the window, whilst selecting a nice red apple from the fruit bowl which she begins to shine.
Thrax listens intently at the tales of hardship and sorrow his companions are sharing. After a few moments of silence he speaks up. “I am not looking for anyone in particular, I am but a vessel for the works of Gond the divine craftsman. My tribe are one of the few among the Lizardfolk who can hone such fine weapons and armor from steel. We owe this to our worship of Gond. I have learned his ways and he has sent me here. May his hand guide me and aid me as I then shall aid all of you.”

"Okay then," says Thia, turning to the group from her position by the window. Curling a loose strand of blonde hair over an upswept ear, she says, "Shall we go and see what these cultists are up to and if they have our friends?" She bites down on the apple resolutely and looks at the party for agreement.
OOC: Sorry for the delay, hate to draw out conversations like this but had a rough weekend.
Rogram does not recognize this man. He wears nothing distinguishing, only a simple leather tunic and a quarterstaff that he is using as a crutch.
"Well, I'd like nothing more than to come with you, but in this condition, I'd only slow you down. In the midst of all this tragedy, there's no reason you would have heard about the fate of my master, but it's important you know. His name is Leosin Erlanthar. He is a monk from Berdusk. He disappeared last night, after we fought a particularly savage battle against a band of those raiders, early in the night. A few others and I fought our way to the keep, barely. Leosin never made it. We went back yesterday to look for him, but all we found was his broken staff and this choker he always wore," the man says, holding out the choker toward you.
As the man speaks and says that Leosin was his master and was lost, and all they had was the choker the monk wore, the blood drains from Yevele’s face before she reaches forward and takes the choker from the man. With the choker in her hand, the young monk drops to her knees with a sob, saying “No, No. I can’t have failed you. No. You saved me. I was supposed to help you in your time of need. No. This can’t be true.”

Listening to the others Smoke will be quick to respond. Ah yes a bed would do nicely before our journey.
Better for the muscles and all he says while he streches his arms and tilting his head a bit.
Before moving away he will turn and ask the governor You would not happen to have a map of where we are heading would you? It might help us.

OOC: Excellent character development from all!
As you prepare to set off from Rogram's house toward the edge of town, a young man walks up to you, limping heavily on his bandaged left leg.
"Excuse me. I've heard that you intend to follow the raiders and see where they've gone. I'm glad I was able to find you before you left," he begins.
