Moving quietly into the room reveals stalactites and stalagmites that have been polished into gleaming columns. Every surface glistens with moisture. The flat walls of the chamber are decorated with shallow abstract carvings of dragons. Ahead, a wide set of steps descends into a large cavern shrouded in darkness. Along the wall to the right, two hulking human men lean on a pillar, wearing no armor but possessing large greataxes strapped to their sides. They are idly chatting with another striking figure - Cyanwrath, a towering half-blue dragon with a vicious spear and a mighty greatsword crossed in an X on his back. His splint armor adds even more to his impressive bulk.
The half-dragon snaps his head toward you as you cross into the room, grinning widely as his impressive ears detect you. "You look familiar...I've seen you around the camp," he taunts. His human companions shift out of their leaning stance and place their hand on their axes as they watch the scene unfold, looking between you and Cyanwrath warily.
Past the half-dragon is another tunnel winding around a corner.
"If you came looking for trouble, I am the trouble you seek."
Yevele will remain back in the hallway at the entrance to the room. She will step back slightly out of sight of Cyanwrath, and ready her bow in case a fight breaks out. From her position, she will occasionally look back the way the came, listening for anyone coming up behind them.
Being out in the open already Smoke will puff his chest and raises one of his arms where he holds a dagger, pointing at Cyanwrath and the humans near him.
Surrender now and you will live! With your army away our forces have taken this position. As we speak these caves are being taken by the army of Baldurs Gate.
He looks to the others a moment but makes sure he is not in the frontline and doesnt move forward
Unsure if Cyanwrath believes him he focusses on the humans. We have captured many rooms already from those with your drakes in the pens to your meat storage. Trying to prove they have been around the cave to bolster Smokes claim.
Well, go onhe waves his dagger a bit pointing at the floor Drop your weapons he says as he waits to see what they do
When Yevele draws back her bow, the half-dragon and humans bring their own weapons to bear. Cyanwrath seems undaunted by the threats, his serpentine eyes glaring back and forth between his new opponents. His lips curl upward and back, seemingly relishing the tension of the moment.
"It would seem that Rezmir has outsmarted you then, moving when she did. That's too bad for you, I suppose, that she left you nothing to capture," he taunts. "How shall we do this, then? A duel, your strongest against me? Or shall my men and I line the walls of this shrine with your blood?"
Karib moves a little forward, close enough for Yevele and Rogram to hear him intone a prayer to Gond before moving back a little and calling upon Gond to restore a little of his strength.
Action: cast bless on himself, Rogram and Yevele Movement: enough to target the others, then back to cover. Bonus Action: Use Channel Divinity to restore a 1st level spell slot.
Seeing Rogram in front goading Cyanwrath and hearing the halfdragon Smoke thinks a moment.
Our best? Smoke smiles Perhaps you remember the one you fought at the gates of Greenest. He was tired fighting all your allies and im sure he wouldnt mind a rematch. He should be near. We will get him..
He takes a step towards Yevele and Karib before turning back to Cyanwrath. Unless you fear a rematch hehe. Cmon Rogram. motioning him to move with him Im sure there are plenty that would like to see this halfdragon bested.
He continues taken steps towards the corner where the others are with as much confidence as he can muster and before he disappears behind it. Try not to get killed before we return.
If they are all behind the corner Smoke will motion them to quicken there pace without making to much noise, knowing the room behind the long tunnel still has the sleeping goblins.
Karib nods and, with a last glance in the direction of the half-dragon, moves off with Smoke. He would like to see the half-dragon face their wrath, but there is a rhythm to such things and now, with he and his companions all weary, it was not the time. Fight battles that you will win, and run from the rest. It had been a hard-learned lesson from his youth, but one which he tried to remember.
Rogram is clearly surprised when Smoke begins leading the others back out of the chamber and encouraging him to do the same. He looks back and forth between his comrades and the half dragon, the sword in his hand rising and falling with confusion and indecision.
"Enough!" Cyanwrath calls out as Smoke begins to lead the party away. "I allowed you to prepare yourselves, but if you insist on fleeing over facing me with honor, then I will make your deaths as painful as I am able." Sparks fly from his nostrils as he exhales gruffly, motioning to his companions. The humans spread to either side of the room, one in front of the steps leading forward and the other across the room along the wall. Cyanwrath stands in the center of the chamber, twisting his spear to his side with a flourish.
"Your companion was nothing; a fly buzzing harmlessly by my head as I swatted him aside. I have no interest in a rematch. Neither does he, or I imagine he would be at your side. You have declared yourselves enemies of the Cult of the Dragon, and as such you now face your execution. Be glad I am giving you a fair fight - and face your demise with valor."

The decision made, Rogram readjusts his grip on both his sword and his shield, taking a stance facing Cyanwrath. "Mother, watch over me," the half-dwarf says quietly. He then rushes at the half-dragon, his mighty yell reverberating off the walls.
If I can attack this round (after moving up to 25 feet):
Attack: 21 Damage: 8 + bless: 1
If the attack hits ... Bonus: Mobile flourish: 4 — That much additional damage and Cyanwrath is pushed back 5 + the roll feet. Then, I will move back whatever amount of movement I have left plus the 10 extra feet I get after taking the attack action.
If I can't reach him this round, I'll only move 25 feet and then take the dodge action.
Smoke sighs trying to think of a plan and turns back to the halfdragon Very well, you are correct we are trying not to fight here. The army of Baldurs gate however is near.
He pauses a moment looking at the floor It was not the plan but we cannot face a champion such as you.Trying to get his ego up to go with his plan.
The plan however, came from Rezmir. He pauses again to add some drama to the reveal and looks to his companions We are spies and on the same side. How do you think Rezmir knows so much? We were trying to scare you away so the dragon queen does not lose a formidable warrior to an army.
To not shame him in front of the humans he speaks a part in draconic:
Rezmir didnt want to tell you this thats why we couldnt reveal this before. We are both needed to have Tiamat cleanse this land.
Smoke hopes this will increase Cyanwraths beliefs on what he said and perhaps redirect his focus onto Rezmir instead of the group.

OOC: Holding Rogram's attack since more dialogue has come in the same round (may still be used dependent on the next roll).
Apologies for my schedule this week. Trying to post at least once a day this week.

Cyanwrath snorts. "Utter cowardice!" The feel of static electricity surrounds the room as the half-dragon grows agitated. He levels his spear, and Rogram meets his charge, as his companions heft their axes to begin the surely intense encounter.
OOC: FFS, since Firefox randomly decides to manipulate dice on edit I've been trying to use Edge, but it just decided that all of the dice were going to be re-rolled without telling me. The players had an average of 10.5 on initiative, I don't know exactly what the enemy rolls were but I know it wasn't that high of an average, so players get the first move. Details in the next post.
OOC: Oh and now it's re-rolled them all again on the second edit and is throwing the manipulation warning up. This forum is a nightmare for a DM that likes to contain one round in a single post.
Round 1 Order: Players <===== Enemies
Placement: Cyanwrath is in the center of the room. The human fighters are at either end of the room. All combatants are within movement range of one another.
Health: Rogram is lightly wounded. Smoke is lightly wounded.
Karib will clank slowly behind the others, hoping the normal sounds of the caves and its denizens drown out any noise he makes.
Rogram gives Smoke a solemn nod, readjusts his grip on his sword, and then moves into the room as quietly as possible.
OOC: Assuming Yevele is moving in quietly as well, I'll include her in the group check.
Stealth (Group Check):
Karib (Disadvantage-Chain Mail): 8
Rogram (Disadvantage-Scale Mail): 11
Smoke: 16
Yevele: 25

Silently, Rogram readjusts his grip on his sword and crouches a little lower in preparation for whatever might be next.
Dodge action if we are in fact performing actions

(( OK, I forgot the damage to Yevele. Anyone else hurt? ))
As they moved off, Yevele could just make out the sounds of Karib murmuring in the background again as, once more, her wounds begin to heal.
