While everybody is busy with the door, Kurma is removing his clothes and jumps in the pool in an explosion of water. "Kowabunga !" Once in the pool he is looking for a key or some treasures...
Gertrude watched Felix trying to pry the lock open with his dagger. When his efforts are without success, Gertrude turns to Brunella:
"Hei, sister, give me a hand. Let's push this door in!" Both women strain and push against the stone door. But the floor is slippery from the entrails of the frog creature and the stone door is not giving way.

The power of the splash makes a little stone object fly from the mouth of the frog statue, in the middle of the pool. It is a stone key which, as it happens, would fit perfectly into the keyhole of the stone gate.
After such a splendid jump, Kurma stays under the water...a minute passes and the Tortle rises to the surface of the water with in his hand a small key. "Look what I found in the pool !! But there is nothing else unfortunately, no hidden treasure"
With that he throws the key to Felix, "Try with this"
Steps descend to a ledge overlooking a pit of sharpened stakes. An alcove on the far wall holds a pedestal with a stone cube resting on it. A relief carved into the back of the alcove shows a monstrous frog with tentacles fighting a crane. Wooden beams radiate from the walls at floor height, with four-foot gaps between them. Carved frog heads extrude from the walls above the beams.

The mage hand easily lift the cube. It seemed easy.
Too easy.
A second after the cube is lifted from its pedestal, the gate slams shut and the frog heads on the walls open their mouths, belch forth enough poisonous gas to fill the shrine.
Felix is quick to re-open the gate with the stone key, but some of the gas engulf Felix, Oniss and Kurma. DC 12 CON save: Failed save >> 11
OOC I just assumed Felix, Oniss and Kurma were the only ones on the ledge just after the gate. There is not enough space for more.

Oniss sees the gas begin to billow out and takes a deep breath and holds it moments before the gas reaches him. After leaving the temple he gasps for air and hold up the cube to the party and places it in his bag.
Artus: "No fire, Master Irommek. Best not to attract further attention. I'll start the first watch."
As the party takes a rest from the extenuating encounter of the frog-monster, the fog almost covers the entirety of the lost city.
When Irommek stands watch, a might roar is heard, so loud that the walls of the cliffs shake.
After that, nothing much else happens and the party wakes up well rested a few hours before dawn.
Still Feeling sluggish, Felix will pick himself up and start to lead the way. "There..." he points out the glyph "Kurma you're up."

The only obvious trap to Oniss is the spiked pit. It is 30 feet deep, with sharp, wooden stakes.
Oniss looks at the object and casts Mage Hand in attempts to pick it up.
