Kurma finishes identifying the object. " This stone will help you improving your endurance. This could be helpful for me or Felix." Then holding the staff, "this is a beautiful object that provides the means to charm people and also to be more resistant to enchantement. I can see Oniss or myself as the best ones to fully use its potential."
After burying the corpses of the red wizards and taking a short rest, the party heads towards the second shrine pointed by Orvex on the map.
A ruined shrine stands at the heart of this walled compound. Tall monoliths flank the entrance, decorated with images of a jaguar with six snakes sprouting from its shoulders. A stone door is set into the shrine beyond.
Before heading there, I imagine we would use the short rest to attune with the staff and stone. Felix takes the stone (better protection against stomach acid for example) and Oniss takes the staff (so he doesn't have to use his magic slots ?)
The two monoliths at the entrance function as the supports for an old stone door, which hangs heavy on its hinges. It weighs 600 pounds, but it is merely a joke for the combined force of Brunella and Gertrude.
Felix approaches the shrine entrance, but he notices a couple of wild cats looking at the party, hidden nearby bushes.
Steps descend into a fifteen-foot-high, moss-covered room. Four statues of Omuan warriors stand in alcoves to either side, overlooking a barred gladiatorial pit in the floor. Each statue looks like it was meant to hold a spear, but its weapon is missing. On the far side of the chamber, a stone pedestal stands conspicuously bare. A relief on the wall behind it shows a monstrous jaguar with six snakes protruding from its shoulders, fighting off a squat, frog-like humanoid armed with a spear. To the left of the relief is a narrow tunnel with stairs leading down.
Gertrude follows Felix around the place. When he invites her to step ahead, she takes the lead. Looking into the pit from the outside, then stepping in. [will wait to see who else is following]
As soon as Gertrude steps into the pit, the floor lowers a bit. A pressure plate.
Nothing comes out, except the sound of metal bars sliding against stone coming from the hallway on the others side of the pit. After that, the heavy sound of steps of something coming toward the pit.
Golem. A hulking golem, the size of Gertrude, a golden spear and a shield in hands, is coming in the pit.
ooc: is the grid over us big enough for range attack ?
OOC If you want to attack from the above, the ranged attacks are possible but with disadvantage. Small and Medium creature can slip through, but not Tortles. A maximum of 4 creature can stay in the pit.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hearing the rumble, Irommek's instinct to run towards danger like a month to a flame overtakes him. Using his small size, he shimmies past Felix on the stairs and joins Gertrude in the pit.
"I don't suppose you're the type of Golem that would rather have a drink and conversation, eh? I can serve us a nice beer or even a wine if you're feeling a bit more cosmopolitan and we can discuss the weather and treasures hidden in this shrine...Or I could serve up my hammer if ya are in a disagreeable mood!"

Arriving Felix will look for any traps and secret entrances.

"Well, let's keep going no point in waiting around." Felix will head down the stairs keep his eyes open for traps.
[Instead of continuing to roll could I use my passive perception? To look for traps?]

Felix steps further down. The hallway turns back to give access to the pit.
This pit is 20 feet deep, and its bars are spaced 2 feet apart.
Six-foot-high archways stand opposite one another at the bottom of the pit.
OOC At this point, I need to know who is following Felix and of Felix is going into the pit.
[Felix is fearless! LOL]
Felix will wait once he's at the archway. "...Would someone like to take the lead?"
