You all leave the Spring Shoot Inn and head for the sewer entrance that Venovar's mother explained the location of. If you've paid for your room, it will be waiting for you when you return, and if not, the staff will be working overnight so you'll be able to get a room either way.
It's a little after 10pm, the streets are for the most part empty in this part of the city, with the odd guard patrolling the main streets.
The entrance to this particular sewer system in the city is hidden away from the main streets. What happened was Venovar's mother dropped her ring on an over-passing grate, and she decided to head down into this concealed sewer entrance to try and retrieve it.
Once you see that no guards are watching, you all head down into the large ditch, through a few bushes, and reach the entrance to the sewers.
((Ok, I need a bit of time to get this adventure together since it wasn't the one I had planned - I will post as soon as I can, hopefully tonight, but more likely tomorrow morning!))
P.S. Alton, you shrug off the alcohol like a champ. There will be no ill effects from the booze once the sewer adventure commences.
You all reach the location of where Venovar's mothers bite occurred. You are all down a steep ditch, and this particular entrance to the sewer system is hidden from view from the streets. Who knows what Vendovar's mother was thinking coming down here alone at her age... the ring must mean a lot to her.
From down in the ditch where the bite occurred, you can see a large entrance to the sewer system. The moonlight shines into the dark, dank tunnels, and it looks basically like what you would think a sewer system would look like. Disgusting. You can all descend into the sewer without issues using an old but sturdy metal ladder. To the end of the first passage, the sewer heads off in both north and south directions.
Alton, there are lit lanterns throughout the sewer system, so you do not need a light source at this point.
Let me know who is leading the way, what you might want to do, and any checks you might want to make.
(ignore those little critters walking around... they shouldn't be in there. This image is as close to what I have in my mind of what the sewers look like. haha)
Venovar, you don't spot any movement, or hear any obvious noises. You do notice tracks in the soft dirt though, heading to both the north and south passages. It seems these sewer passageways are frequently used. You aren't sure what made the tracks, but they seem humanoid.
Venovar, you can't quite seem to make out what the humanoid tracks are specifically.
Thorvin, the moment you come down the ladder and approach the fork in the passageway, you hear footsteps sounding like they are running away, splashing in the sewer-sludge puddles, coming from both the north and south passageways.
The sewer tunnels are lit up by slow burning lanterns constructed into the walls every so often along the tunnel. They must be for the maintenance crews when they come down here. Alton does not require a light source in these passageways.
The footsteps fade away, and you now hear some faint groans, coming again from both directions.

"...it will be waiting for you when you return, and if not..."
Definitely took that to mean 'if you don't return'...

After Venovar climbs down, he will make a Perception check to try to spot any signs of movement(adding Guidance). 10 + 3

Venovar will also make a survival check to see what type of humanoid these tracks may have been made by.

"Alton, you need some light?" Gotur will use druidcraft to light up the halfling's torch if he has one out (and not already lit).
