CURRENT TURN: BUG CREATURE
Lilandra's quick-reacting strike with her hooves slammed squarely into her opponent's thorax before it could slip away. There was a solid crunching noise that left behind a spiderweb of cracks in the color-changing exoskeleton. The force of the impact sent the creature flying, smashing it into one of the large boulders several feet away.
Upon impact, it's carapace automatically began to shift colors to match the rock. It slid down the face of the boulder, collapsing to one knee.
"Krrkrrkrrkrrkrr...!" The thing let out a series of pained, angry clicking noises. In another display of it's impressive jumping power, it sprung up and slightly back, landing on top of the 10ft tall chunk of freestanding rock. From its perch it clutched its chest with several of is arms, glaring down at the horse that struck it.
Thad runs towards Dakara, "Focus on the others fer the time bein'! This ugly bastard is mine!" as he casts Compelled Duel (Wisdom Save DC 13 or disadvantage on attacks against anyone but Thad for 1min, and also must make Wisdom Save any time he tries to move more than 30ft from me). He then follows through with an upward swing of his warhammer.

CURRENT TURN: THAD
Before attacking, the dwarven commander of the watch would clearly see the imposing blue tiefling still standing just in front of the rising platform that was beneath the monolith, his arms crossed over his bare muscular chest, laughing in amusement as his fellow kidnappers were suddenly attacked.
"Bwahahaha!" he bellowed. "What fools! You let a horse sneak up on you!? Ha ha! Pathetic!"
He cocked his head towards the sound of Thad calling him out, his tail swishing with curiosity. "Hmm, what's this now...?"
[WISDOM SAVE - DAKARA 7, SUCCESS]
[WARHAMMER ATTACK MISS]
WHAM!!!
The concussive impact of Thad's swing rang out across the hilltop, and the shock of the blow reverberated up the dwarf's arms. However, the blow came to an abrupt halt halfway through the upswing. Dakara stood there grinning, arms still crossed, balancing with one knee lifted high. The bottom of Dakara's upraised boot pressed down firmly against the face of Thad's hammer.
"Ah, a challenger!" he said, his orange eyes burning. "You think yourself a match for me!?"
TURN CONCLUDED
[The other creature and Dakara both go next, so I'll resolve Dakara's turn first to keep the exchange with Thad going.]
CURRENT TURN: DAKARA THE DEVIL OF FISTS AND FEET
Attack, Flurry of Blows: 27 Damage: 6
Attack, Flurry of Blows: 22 Damage: 6
Attack, Flurry of Blows: 8 Damage: 5
Dakara unleashed a blazing barrage of kicks upon Thadraes in the span of a second. He lifted his foot from Thad’s hammer, turned it sideways, and stomped it out straight into the dwarf’s chest, the blow absorbed by his armor. But then with the same leg, he cocked his foot back and lashed out with it again like a whip, colliding with the side of Thad’s head. He then jumped up, spinning like a top, switched legs mid-air, and then landed his spin with a devastating swipe of his other leg, connecting with such force it threatened to send Thad flying!

CURRENT TURN: DAKARA THE DEVIL OF FISTS AND FEET
After his kick launched Thad down the stairs a smug-looking Dakara, arms still crossed, called out to him. “Bah! Try again!”
Looking past Thad to where the others were fighting downhill, the muscular martial artist noticed the fiendish artifact currently held by Morgan. He grinned maliciously. “You! Human! Do you wish to know strength beyond that which mortal training can achieve? Gaze deeply into one of the gems on that chalice you hold, and embrace the rapture of power like you’ve never dreamed!”
Hearing this, the elf-looking creature’s long ears twitched. She snapped her gaze up to the tiefling at the top of the hill, her expression aghast with shock and betrayal.
“Whaaaaat!!!” she cried. “Damn you, Dakara! What in the nine hells are you thinking!? That’s OUR prize!”
“Heh heh. You allowed pursuers to slip past your watch and take your reward right in front of you. I think they’re more deserving of the power than either of you will ever be. And perhaps then I might finally meet a worthy opponent.”
TURN CONCLUDED
CURRENT TURN: “GREEN ELF”
The green skinned humanoid ground her teeth in anger as she glared at Dakara. “Jak’ta! Why you-!”
With a growl and more than a few exotic curses under her breath, she tore her eyes away from him and burst into an explosive sprint directly at Morgan and Lilandra, with the intent of flinging herself right onto the horse.

Hooking one hand under Lilandra’s neck, she kicked off the ground in a cartwheeling motion and tucked her legs, twisting her lithe form into the air. In a blur of hides and tattooed flesh, she landed with both feet together on Lilandra’sback directly in front of Morgan, squatting like a gargoyle nose-to-nose with him.
“Listen up human,” she murmured, her voice low and serious. Her black eyes threatened to swallow him whole while the yellow pupils therein pierced into his mind. “You have something that belongs to me. I’m giving you one chance to give it back. Now.”
[Morgan, you’ve already taken your turn and spent your reaction, but you may still reply however you wish.]
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(I would like to remind that both Morgan and Thaedren gain 4 temporary hit points at the beginning of their turns, which soaked up some of Daraka's attacks).
Morthos cursed as the situation took a turn for the worse. Morgan lay clutching the chalice on the ground, while Lilandra and Thaedren both looked quite injured. It was time for him to join the fight.
He yells out at the "Green" Elf. "Oi, you over there! Aren't you a sight for sore eyes? You looked like you had a bad hair day."
Morthos casts vicious mockery on her, dealing 1 damage on a failed DC 14 Wis Save and have disadvantage on attack rolls on her next turn.
He then turns to Morgan. "Don't listen to them! Stay strong and don't let that chalice fall into their grasp!"
[Question to all now that we've completed one round: Would we now like to try approaching initiative in groups (the whole party goes, then all the enemies go), or proceed with normal initiative?]
(OOC - group initiative is definitely quicker. Can be harder to build strategies etc as you don't have a clear indication of who goes where, but I don't have any major issue with it. Happy to go group turns.)

Morgan glares at the figure standing before him, and shoves the goblet into his surcoat pocket. Once certain it is not going to fall out he narrows his eyes, his body growing intense and seeming to swell. With a grim smile then he gives the figure a stiff forearm shove.

Action: shove.

(I may do a move action if the enemy is shoved away from Morgan.)
Shortly after Morgan engages the Elf, Lilandra will start to reduce in size. Her form contorting somewhat and gradually returning to normal form kneeling on the ground. She takes a moment to recover from it and takes out her shield and stands up. While doing so the gray veil on everyone will dissipate, as if the wind blows it off of everyone.
She will stay at Morgan's side taking out a small vial from her bag and takes of the lid. She sprinkles a three drops of it on her own hand and quickly puts back the vial. Looking at her allies one by one she rubs the drops in her hands and closes her eyes and speaks the words May fortune smile upon them.As she says the words her hands glow a faint blue for a second and as it fades each of her allies glows the same color for another second before the glows are gone. Opening her hands they will be dry again.
Movement: Only a few steps to stand next to Morgan Bonus Action: Revert back to normal. Action: Cast Bless at lv1 = on 3 people so on everyone except Lilandra. So everyone (except me) can add a d4 to their attack rolls and saving throws.
Concentration: Dropped pass without a trace and is now on Bless
Inspired by Lilandra's Bless, Morthos draws his rapier, an ornate blade that gleams in the moonlight. It was more for show than anything else: tonight will be the first time it drew blood.
"Press the onslaught!" he yells as he charges the bug creature, lunging forward with his rapier.

In another display of it's impressive jumping power, it sprung up and slightly back, landing on top of the 10ft tall chunk of freestanding rock. From its perch it clutched its chest with several of is arms, glaring down at the horse that struck it.
"Eh...?" As her attention was drawn by a verbal jab from Morthos, Morgan's response to the wild elf-looking being came in the form of a silent, powerful shove that dislodged her from Lilandra'sback. She crashed to the ground but quickly recovered, rolling into a crouch. "Grrr... You'll regret that, human..."
With each hand she drew one of the many knives strapped to her person. The blades were short, only a few inches long, and featured a pronounced hook shape with wickedly serrated edges. She held the weapons in reverse grip and leveled her fists. From behind disheveled black bangs, her eyes darted between the enemies gathered in front of her before homing in on a sudden movement darting out from the treeline!
As Morthos lunged, the apparently elven creature twisted her body aside and smacked the rapier’s blade away with one of her knives. She then scrunched her nose and, amazingly, seamed to grow even more belligerent than before.
“YOU!” she yelled with an accusatory tone. “You reek of elven blood! You and all your kind can go straight to hell!”
With an animalistic roar, she lashed out at Morthos with her savage blades!
Multiattack: 6 Damage: 4
Multiattack: 16 Damage: 3
Having gotten a breather atop its rocky perch, the humanoid insect now quickly set to work re-engaging. Using all four of its arms simultaneously, it unslung the shortbows the party had initially spotted it with from its back and unbuckled the covers of the quivers on its hips. Holding the bows horizontally, one in its upper pair of arms and one in its lower pair, it aimed an arrow each at Lilandra and Morgan!
Lilandra: 14 Damage: 7
Morgan: 7 Damage: 6
It would be clear to anyone watching how it handled its weapons that, whatever it was, the bug was an experienced archer. If it hadn’t already taken the time to ready its weapons, it would have likely been able to fire even more shots as well!
Meanwhile, despite having been knocked away by Dakara’s last kick, the tiefling fighter grinned approvingly as Thad returned to take another swing. This time the blow had even more strength behind it. Even though Dakara actually uncrossed his arms to block, Thad’s hammer still went crashing through his guard and caused him to stagger back a couple steps, proving the hit had been effective.
As he stumbled, Dakara’s foot stepped onto the platform behind him that he had arrived on. Upon contact with the grisly carvings on the large stone slab, a red light from within the carvings began to glow. Dakara noticed this, and then returned his attention to the dwarven combatant.
“That just sealed your fate,” the infamous mercenary said. He swiftly closed the gap with Thad again, intent on delivering another round of pain by ducking low and firing off a pair of body shots.
Attack: 16 Damage: 10
Attack: 13 Damage: 8
One of those punches sunk so far into Thad’s gut that even despite his chainmail the hit threatened to knock the air from his lungs.
