Kavafeels the strike as it sends a searing pain through her body that is quickly rendered numb and beyond use. As she falls unconscious, she sees Drosagaze watch her and his face only steeled with determination.
The dust that was kicked up from The Champion's destructibe blast clears to reveal the slumped body of Jack, and he's making no attempt to get up.
As the combat comes to and end, the dragon shows a toothy grin, "I consider myself entertained. I am of my word; I leave you with your lives..." With two momentus flaps from the dragon, great gusts are kicked up sending anything that's not bracing tumbling across the stone floor of the keep's grounds. And your deepest fears. The last words echo within all the minds of those who witnessed the intense moment.
The pressure begins to ease as the absence of the dragon's champion and the beating of wings fades: The realisation a threat of immeasurable proportion to most has decided to move on without the worst taking place. While it is not immediate, people begin to get active once more; a strange mix of relief but also plans springing into action due to change of circumstance.
A warmth spreads through both Kavaand Jackas healing spells from the odd few capable spare the worst from happening as they close in to tend to anything that requires more attention. (Healing 7 hp)
As sunlight from dawn peeks into the grounds of the keep, a sense of enjoying the immediate safety amongst the civilians spills out onto the grounds. You are all free to join in celebrated relief, aid the capable soldiers and townsfolk of any rescue and security efforts, or just to roam around the grounds knowing you have all stood metres away from a dragon and live to tell the tale!
Ophelia scribbles furiously in her book while sitting cross-legged in a corner, not wanting to forget any details of the night's events, and coming up with a few spells that might be helpful in the future. When she's finished, the girl climbs to her feet, and approaches Jack and Kava, eyeing them over with a look of worry on her face. "You are both well?"
Tohjoins a band of soldiers that scour Greenest; the ramshackle houses and the few buildings that were burnt. The paladin doesn't spot any civilians himself, but a few of the soldiers find people hiding in closets, locked basements and even large barrels. They are reassured the attack is over and guiding back to Scatterheart Keep.
Leading the prayers comes easy; Toh feels a light of inspiration fill him, his voice travels to who need to hear. All who attend, even those just passing, stop to hear the wisdom that warm those who are chilled by the sudden appearance of evil while providing a fire to fight for another day. As Toh finishes, a echo ripples of his last praise and a small crowd forms to gives thanks to the Platinum Dragon, but also give thanks to him.
While Kavawas unconscious, it feels as if it is an unknown stretch of time. She feels a comforting prickle of grass beneath, while sweet breeze traces over and eases tension out of her. A deep breath reverberates and comes closer, but when Kava's curiosity peaks; her eyes open to one of the healers over her; a halfling, lazily chewing something as she gives her a look over, "You'll be alright." She taps Kava's arm and moves off.
Easy enough, Kavanavigates through the busyness of the very much alive keep. After being guided by a soldier or two she finds herself ibeing directed to one of the keep's holds in the cellar. Lit by torchlight, surprisingly not that musty, but manned all the same, Kava finds the cell Velsa is being held in.
The soldier keeping watch allows a visit and gives a little distance between the two of you for conversdation between the thick door with a barred window. Velsa looks up from sitting on her "bed" with a smile, "Good to see you made it."
Kava smiles too. "A very close call, Drosa is stronger than I remember him being last we met..." she trails off for a moment before asking. "This is new, dragons joining cult attacks? Why have they joined now?"
Velsa shakes her head, "I said this to castellan as well; this whole attack was last minute."
The ex-cultist turns her head away. Kava, you can tell she is still suffering a guilt refreshed, "The dragon came out of nowhere in the camp; it incredible, but quite terrifying. There's a lot of change at the top; the Wearers of Purple. The Wearers have become much more... focused and bold, enough to warrant a dragon's attention to fulfill a request."
A young halfling man carrying boxes looks down at Jack, "Are you alright, sir?"
Drosa's rigid stance continues to leave him open to swift strikes as he steps aside Kava's weapon, only to feel a strike land in his ribs!
The Champion retaliates with a low sweep with his longsword!

She notices lightning spark once more around Drosa's mouth...

Ophelia gasps in shock as Jack gets his wish, and peers round the corner to see Kava's opponent standing over her, waiting to see what happens next.
Toh stands and begins to make his way down the stairs.

“No. I hurt.” Jack remains seated, no longer as enthralled with the delirium.

"Please do be more careful. You're lucky there were people around to attend you almost instantly."
“Lucky,” says a feminine voice in Ophelia’s mind before breathing heavily for a moment and disappearing.
