Rekuberk carefully makes his way over to the body as Kazri lifts it up. He will then proceed to pulls his javelins free from the corpse and stow them away once more. Now that combat has ended he calms and moves to look over the sword Sephek had used.
Kazri leaves the body on the bed, and step back to let Krom perform his ritual.

Krom nods at Kazri as she put Sephek's body on the bed. The dwarf touches Moradin's Holy Symbol with his left hand and starts chanting in a low and deep voice. With his right hand, Krom traces in the air runes of command and power. His fingers as they move leave in the air a faint trace of fire. As the hymn ends, Krom thrusts towards Sephek's body his right hand asking in deep and firm voice: " What was your purpose ?" " Who is Ravisin ?" " Doany other members of Torg's company also work for the Frostmaiden? " Is the Frostmaiden using the shards of black ice to corrupt the people of the Dales?" " How can we stop the Frostmaiden? " (Speak with dead)
Standing next to the body of Sephek Krom begins to cast his spell. As he finishes the incantation he then starts the questioning. "What is your purpose?" he asks. But he receives no response. He goes over in his mind the spell and is certain that he did it correctly. Again he asks, "Who is Ravisin?" and again receives no answer. Clearly Krom can see that while he did the spell correctly it has not worked.
"Something is not right, I did not make any mistakes in tracing those runes and in the chant, but it does not work. Maybe the Frostmaiden still protects him even if he is dead." says a frustrated Krom while looking at the rest of the group. "Let's search this cabin and the corpse then, we may find something useful." ([skill]Investigation[/spell] 11 + Guidance4 )
Surprised that Krom's ritual did not work, Kazri extends her senses, and look around the cabin. (Kazri uses Divine Sense inside the cabin, if time allows, she will peek outside as well.)

Chill watches quietly as he stands near the door. He doesn't understand much of magic and lets the others do their thing. When Krom suggests searching the cabin he assists in doing that.
Chill and Krom, and any others, search the cabin but find nothing of interest. It is just an empty, abandoned cabin in the woods and looks like no one has lived here for a long time.
As Kazri reaches out with her divine senses the reek of the undead strikes her. Sephek was undead, which may explain his ability to regenerate and heal. But he appears to be dead dead now.
“Master Krom. It seems that we have been dealing with an undead person all this time.” Kazri gets closer to the Sephek’s body. (Just in case if it tries anything funny). “Shall we burn it?”

"Yes, I think that we should burn it. Have we searched already the corpse?" The dwarf turns towards Rekuberk "Lad, could you use your flaming sword to burn the corpse? Try to cut off his head too, just to be sure."
Krom scratches his beard and says "If the Frostmaiden is willing to use undead to do her bidding, I fear that we will face more of those creatures as we continue our quest. Sentient undead like Sephek are very dangerous."
"Indeed, burn it. He had two of my crossbow bolts in his chest earlier and now there is no sign of those injuries. I see those bolts over here on the floor. At least his crimes are done. There will be no more unexplained murders from this one. Gorrah is avenged."
Rekuberk nods and draws his sword, cutting the head off before speaking the world of power that set the blade aflame. As the fire dances across the blade, he will jab it into the corpse and wait for the flames to catch.

Rhogar re-enters the cabin following a final perimeter sweep, having been searching for any signs of watchers, even if but animals with an unusual interest in the goings on of the cabin.
Regardless of coming up short or not of finding anything, the timing is just right to leave him raising a questioning brow ridge at Rekuberk and the others. Before anyone can answer though, he just shakes his head, and then grins ruefully. "That is certainly one way to make sure the dead stay dead. But if we're done here, we should be heading back to the Inn. The nights might be long here, but not so long as to warrant staying up too too late. And besides that... we may wish as well to be on our way soon, unless our next objective is to address that man's former company and make sure there aren't any that might replace him in these sordid dealings?"

Rhogar makes a circuit around the cabin but finds no evidence that anyone has followed them or watched what has happened.
You search the body and find 21 silver coins and 4 gold coins. On one of his fingers you remove a ring. At some point it will be identified as a Ring of Free Action
Krom does his best to understand the nature of the creature Sephek but the best he can determine is that he was once fully human. Perhaps he had been possessed by some sort of spirit that made him undead but there was no real way of knowing now that he had been killed.
As Rekuburk dismembers the undead body of Sephek and sets the remains on fire the bed also catches fire. As you leave the cabin the cabin itself is soon on fire. It is late and dark and you are deep enough within the forest that no one will see the light of the flames or the smoke that billows out. The cabin is old and dry and burns quickly and the trees nearby have enough snow on them to keep the fire from spreading.
You can be certain this undead will not rise again.
Rekuberk will let the flames die away, slowly sheathing his sword carefully. " It is unfortunate we were not able to question him. Onto the next task it seems."
"I agree, Rhogar, we should get back to the inn and rest for the remaining part of the night." replies Krom as the group heads back to the inn "Tomorrow morning, before we leave for our delivery at the Black Cabin, we could visit Torg's company and see if our lass detect other undead or if we notice something unusual." continues the dwarf "Nobody of that company has saw us so we may pass for standard customers."
"I think Rekuburk should have this ring that was found. It would be handy as a front liner to have free movement like that, especially on this icy landscape."
“That makes good sense. Mr. Onc should have the ring.” Agrees Kazri.
