Kazri states she has no further questions for mage. When they are out of the chamber, she asks Martha. "Warden Mathannis, do you know of a vessel called Dark Duchess. We are looking for a passenger that might have taken passage on it." She leaves the details of the ship out for now.

Rhogar responded with a throaty growl, teeth slighty bared, and a glare at Gant. But after a moment or two, his features smooth out once more as a measure of forced calm took over again. "One Hundred Thirty Wizards all in the same place. Now that is a surprise, and must've been quite the nightmare."He mused aloud, then looked to Krom. "I have nothing more to add here."

"That will be all Warden." says Krom as the rest of the group makes clear that they do not have any other questions. As the dwarf starts following Kazri and the others, he briefly turns towards Gant and says "Thank you for your cooperation."
Rhogar side-eyes Gant and nods. "Mn. Interesting and far more reasonable and for the best, I imagine." He replied plainly, seeming nonplussed Gant's condescension. "But thank you, as well. And sit tight. I'm certain you will probably be out of here within the tendays. Just in time perhaps to enjoy a far less harsher climate when we have resolved that whole mess."

Gant laughs. "A tenday? I'll consider myself lucky if it is 10 years. I'm under a life sentence, a reduction to 10 years would be a boon. I'll not waste my time dreaming for a tenday."
With no further questions the warden escorts you back to the meeting room.
Back in the room she addresses Kazri's question "You are trying to end this endless winter? The curse of the Frostmaiden is what it is. You have whatever aid we at Revels End has to offer. As for the Dark Duchess, she was a ship that was to bring us supplies a month or two ago but she never arrived. We assumed she wrecked en route which is one of the hazards of the job I suppose. Other captains that have since arrived said she set sail on schedule."
She then gets very serious.
"They say the Frostmaiden lives on a misty isle hidden among the bergs in the Sea of Moving Ice. The ship captains have spoken of it. I suppose a captain may take you there though there price would likely be very high." She pauses for a moment considering and then continuing. "There’s a mighty strange whale with a boat on its back that swims in those frigid waters from what I have been told. I bet it knows where the island is. You can catch the whale at Angajuk’s Bell, an old anchorage. They say you must ring the bell hanging by the pier to call it.”
"I think that part of his sentence should have been to be gagged unless it is for food." Rekuberk says as he moves to follow the others out of the sell, shaking his head.
Krom says to Rekuberk "He is not a pleasant fellow, but we are a little bit closer to end to our goal thanks to his information."
As the Warden finishes to speak, Krom says "Yes Warden, we are trying to find a way to stop this eternal winter and the Dark Duchess may be the key to end it. It is very important to locate her wreckage." the dwarf pauses for a moment before continuing "Maybe the whale you mentioned knows something." He turns towards the rest of the group "We know where the Frostmaiden hides, but for the moment she is still out of our league. We have to locate the Dark Duchess."
"We would like to thank you for your hospitality Warden Mathannis. We do hope to end this curse, and please do know that your aid has been invaluable to that end." She pauses for a moment. "My colleague is correct. At the very least Mr. Gant gave us the location that we were looking for. Which is one piece of the puzzle. Now we must find a device, a codicil, that should grant us access to this place. That is why finding the Dark Duchess is important." Kazri sighs slightly to give herself strength. "Then after all that, perhaps, we may find the means to engage the Frostmaiden. Thus, we still have much to do, but we will carry this mission to its end. Helm willing."

Marta is able to mark on your map the approximate location of Angajuk's Bell based on the information she has heard of it.
"I suppose if you travel west along the edge of the sea of ice you will eventually come across it though it might be a few days journey. You are welcome to rest and reprovision here. We can provide basic travel food. Or you can wait for the next ship, but it is not scheduled for about a tenday. You are welcome as my guests to stay and wait if you wish."
"So we head west, find this whale and hopefully the wreckage of the Dark Duchess. Kazri's view in the mirror seemed to show it was close to shore so at some point we would come across it. Then we find the orb which leads us to the codical. Once we have that we can enter the Caves of Hunger to reach the lost city of Yrnth. Then we find magic powerful enough to stop Auril, restore the weather and peace on earth. Riches, fame and glory to follow."
Chill grins.
"One of you magic types needs to learn how to teleport. That would speed things up. A couple days rest won't make that big of a difference. Send your messages while we rest up. "B
"Sounds like a good plan Chill." replies Krom "As for your other suggestion, there are no hymns granted by Moradin that allow instant travel." The dwarf pauses for a moment "Well there is one that can be used to transport a small group of people back to a location sacred to Moradin, but only few Smiths of Moradin are powerful enough to chant it." Krom turns towards Rekuberk "As we travel west towards the whale, maybe, with your griffon you could scout for the Duchess's wreckage from the sky."
"If we rest here today and tomorrow, I will have plenty of time to inform Speaker Shane and Vellynne Harpell of our findings." Krom adds "Even if we leave tomorrow at the first light, I will still have the time to inform them."
(OOC @DM as soon as we take a long rest, Krom will prepare Sending and cast it twice. I will post below both messages)
Sending to Speaker Shane "The Arcane Brotherhood is after a Netherese city. We found the location, possibly it has items for fighting Auril. We will try to find them."
Sending to Vellynne Harpell "We found Yrhyrn's approximate location, Reghed nomads may know the exact path to the Caves of Hunger. Have you found the Codicil?"
Rhogar frowns at Chill. And yet, not wanting to risk sounding like Gant in explaining the difficulties with acquiring such teleportation magic, he merely grumbled and look asckance for a moment. Thankfully, with Krom stepping up, Rhogar would be spared needing to say more, or so he silently hoped for. So with that out of the way, the Dragonborn looked again to the others. "That is... hmm... That is not a bad plan. Traveling the coast and so forth. If nothing else, we can perhaps ask this whale if they may know anything of the Duchess' wreckage, if not whoever happens to be, uhm... piloting it."
"Though, I cannot say I'm looking forward to us inevitably needing to double back. But, such is the way of things. And more importantly-..."The Bronze looks to the Warden. "I hope you can forgive any presumptions on our part. But, would it at least be alright for us to stay the night within your gates, mam? Our good intentions aside, I do not wish for us to be an unnecessary burden to you and yours."

Marta smiles at Rhogar. "A few nights if you need it. We have the room to spare at the moment and I can have quarters prepared. You can take meals with the rest of us." She then excuses herself, "If there is nothing else you need me for then Slatebone will show you around and to your quarters. Please stay out of the Panopticon. If you need to see a prisoner please contact me directly. Also, you may keep to the mess hall and your rooms and also go outside by they way you came in to check on your animals. I ask that the rest of the prison remain off limits. Good evening."
As you intend to stay at least the one night you are led to the rooms that are available as Slatebone gives you a quick tour as you head to the rooms.
You head south and the east past the guard station and entrance. You can take the opportunity to check on your mounts and Oli who seem to be doing fine. Oli is a bit of a spectacle and occasionally a guard sneaks out to get a close up look at the owlbear but he is left unmolested.
You pass through a guard room (R3) and then a mess hall (R6). Tables and benches fill the room, and dishes and cutlery are stored in cabinets along the south wall. Slatebone explains that meals are served every four hours.
He then shows you to your rooms (R7)
Each contains a bed, a desk with matching chair, a claw-footed chest, and wall hooks for hanging clothes. Slatebone explains that the continual flame spell that illuminates each room can be suppressed or returned to its normal light level by uttering a command word (“lights”).
He also tells you that these rooms are set aside for the ten members of the Absolution Council, though only three rooms are currently in use. The other seven members of the council are absent, so the warden is free to let visitors use the spare rooms. You each have your own room.
As it is late you are provided food and you settle in for the night. (Long Rest)
The following day Krom sends his sendings.
Speaker Shane responds "Thank you, I will take this into consideration in my petition to the Lord's Council."
Vellynne Harpell responds "I have not determined the location of either one. Keep looking as I also do."
Kazri again thanks the warden for her help. After the tour, Kazri makes sure that Oli and their mounts are doing fine, and asks Slatebone if she would be allowed to take Oli to her quarters. She promises that the owlbear would not leave the room.

Krom thanks the Warden and after heading to his room makes a couple of visit to the mess hall before retreating for the night. Out of curiosity, while he is eating in the mess hall, he asks the Warden or another guard about which members of the council are currently in the fortress.
On the next morning, he informs the rest of the Fellowship about what the Speaker and Vellynne Harpell replied him. "Our next target, the wreckage of the Duchess, is located somewhere on the west cost. If Vergadain and Tymora smile on us, we may be able to locate it on our way towards Angajuk's Bell." the dwarf pauses for a moment "The hymns ofSendingI used this morning drained some of my energy, but I'm ready to be back on the road, so to speak, as soon as you are. Or we could rest another day, for a prison, the hospitality and the food are not bad at all." finishes with a chuckle.
Slatebone frowns as he answers Kazri. "Sorry ma'am, but the owlbear needs to stay in the stables. We can't have it roaming around. I understand your situation, but that's a rule we can't change. This is still a prison. We aren't used to visitors."
Sitting with the warden as you break your fast the next day she informs you of the members of the council present at the prison. "There is Councilor Voss Anderton. He presents the city of Neverwinter. He is a human who takes his role seriously and never misses a council meeting or parole hearing. Councilor Jil Torbo, a halfling, who represents the city of Baldur’s Gate. To be honest, she hates being here. She likes giving others the benefit of the doubt, however, perhaps as an act of dissent, she votes yes on commutations more often than not. But you don't see her much as she stays in her room most of the time. The last is Councilor Kriv Norixius. He is a dragonborn, of silver ancestry, who represents the town of Daggerford. He has no compassion for criminals and always votes no on commutations."
"No need for apologies Mr. Slatebone. It is perfectly understandable." Kazri nods to the guard. "I would rather leave earlier than later Master Krom. If we are all ready to depart." Then she address the group. "If you do not mind, I would like to spend some time with Oli. Please excuse me gentlemen."
