Kazri relaxes slightly her guard. It seems that the goblin chief was sincere in his search for peace with the folks in the region. She follows her companions outside of the fortress.

With your immediate business concluded at the goblin fortress you collect your mounts and head back east towards Bryn Shander. Your visit to Karkolohk was, different, at least your previous experience of goblins was likely different. You are not fully sure what to make of the chief, the mask. But it seemed peace was truly what the goblins wanted.
With Chief Yarb-Gnock's message in hand you follow the mountains back the way you came. You reach the area where the owl bear's attacked but you don't come across the corpses. Perhaps you are too far south and you didn't come precisely back the way you came. At some point the tundra and snow all begin to look the same.
But while in the general area you hear a noise at a point where the wind has died down. It comes from the south, the direction of the mountains, almost a mewing sound, or crying? You are not fully sure as the sound is carried in the wind.
On the way back Krom chats with the rest of the group about the goblins and the goblin's Chief "I still have my doubts that Yarb-Gnock is really a goblin, I think that he is a gnome, but if he can keep the rest of the goblin under control and uphold the treaty I guess that it is ok." As he hears the strange sound, Krom stops immediately
Kazri raises an eyebrow. “Hopefully you are right Master Krom. That would explain the simple, but important request, and perhaps the refusal of any help.” Kazri tries to hide the fact that she had no idea that the chief would be anything else, but a goblin.

"He's either gnome or a very skinning halfling. But, that was no goblin. No full blooded one, at least." Rhogar stated. "And one determined to remain chief by all accounts, if not for the betterment of his 'kin', then for Ten Towns sake."He added, though absentminded nods slow at the sound, and look slowly about for the source. Even Gorrah pokes her head out a bit for a look around.
Chill chuckles out loud. "Eh, what did it matter? He seems to truly want peace and the other goblins surely think he is a goblin if he actually isn't. Wouldn't they kill him if he wasn't? I didn't pay enough attention to what he looked like under the mask."
Out in front leading the group when the noise is heard Chill stops and cocks his head to one side. His ears would be on swivels if they weren't stuffed under the hood of his jacket.

"I still think we should be careful with him either way. Goblins much like smarter orcs are known to be cunning and deceitful at the best of times." Rekuberk adds before pausing at the sound like the others, slowly looking around.
While most of the group hears the sound its Kazri who hears it best. She immediately focus her attention to the south and sees an outcrop of rock a few hundred feet away. The sound is coming from that direction.
Kazri points to the rock. “The sound seems to be coming from those rocks.” Kazri says in a low voice to the group. She starts to make her way to the source of the sound.

It only takes a few minutes to cross the distance to the rocks. As you approach Kazri can see that a shallow cave is on the lee side. The noise gets louder as you get closer and eventually you can clearly see that it is a den of sorts. Something moves within the den. Judging by the the proximity to the general area that you slew the 2 owlbears you likely belive that this was their den.
"Let's find out the origin of that noise" says Krom to the rest of the group "Maybe it is another owlbear or maybe it is something bigger. I would prefer to take care of it before continuing our march."
"Mn. I will remain out here with the mounts just in case, but do holler if you have need of me."Rhogar requests from the back of duchess. Unlike him however, a too curious Gorrah risks the cold long enough to fly after those that proceed inside, and tries to burrow her way into their hoods for both comfort and a warm spot to watch the proceedings up close.

When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
As you look further into the cave you see that it isn't very deep. Scattered bones and fur cover the ground. In the back, trying to growl but sounding less fierce that it likely is is a snowy owlbear cub.
It looks to stand almost 3 feet in height and judging by the size of its presumed parents will one day grow quite large.

Krom, shield and war hammer at the ready, rushes towards the origin of the sounds stops immediately as soon as he sees the little owlbear "An owlbear cub...not what I was expecting to find.." says the dwarf "Anyway, I think that we should continue our march towards Bryn Shander." Krom gives a quick look at the bones looking for items or pieces of metal. Perception14
Upon the sight of the small beast, Kazri's heart tugs for a moment. She realizes she is the reason it no longer has parents to take care of it. She immediately sheathes her sword and leave her shield at the entrance of the small cave. She calls upon Helm's wisdom and casts Speak with Animals and slowly and calmly approaches the little one.
"Hello there little one, we are not here to hurt you." She puts both of hands up then, slowly grabs some dried meat and fruits from her rations. She slowly leaves the food in front of the small best. "I know it's not much, but hopefully that might help if you are hungry."
