Ma looks up from where she is getting some dinner plates ready. "Heaven's no! The harbor is usually still clear but this never ending winter has it locked up tight. There is still open water out on the lake but you have to haul your boats over the ice to get to it. Its made fishing real hard." When asked about Torg she shakes her head. "Haven't seen them in quite some time though I suspect they'll be back in town soon enough then. But we have a shop in town, Triglio. He can supply most of your needs. I'll have those hot meals brought right out."
Chill chuckles to himself as they enter town with a baby owl bear.
"Its snowing so hard maybe they think Oli is a dog or something? Maybe they just don't care. Anyways, you figure out if Oli is a boy or a girl ball of talons and beak?"

Rhogar cannot help but crack a rueful grin the instant he heard of the tavern keeper's title being passed around the bar. However, he wouldn't say much of anything until after taking a seat at the table alongside the rest. "This place almost reminds me of home in a way." He remarked once they were waiting on the meal. "I'm not sure I ever told any of you, but I used to be something of a fisherman. Though, where I'm from, our waters never got quite as cold up here." He added with a chuckle.

"A fisherman Rhogar? No I do not think that you ever told us about that." says Krom "I bet that you have some interesting stories for us." The dwarf's expression become a bit more serious as he asks "Rhogar, what kind of monster do you think lives in that lake?"
Rhogar holds his chin and furrowed brow ridges in thought. "Well... We're I'm from, we were seaside fisherman. So, the sort of monsters we tended to contend with out and about were naturally more adapted to the salts over the fresh. And most of those were closer to the humanoid variety, such as Sahaugin, Weresharks, Sea Trolls, and the odd Sea Elf Brigands to name a few." He admits.
"But as you probably know, the people who call the sea home and life have their fair share of stories and monsters." He chuckles. "One such being tentacled creatures with the ability to beguile the mind, and whose very essence poisoned the waters about them. Some even say such beings aren't limited to the seas, but of any waters large enough to fit a small kingdom. Of course, with Brother Vixix having taken root among our own, such beings, if they do exist, know better than to linger in his territorial waters for very long." He gives grim grin. "More than that, hm... I'll have to think on that. Though likely we'll have to ask around for accounts to help narrow down some suspicions."

Rekuberk is to busy waiting for the hot meal to say much, listening but easily distracted by the thought of food. "For now we will just have to wait and see."
"Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with the sea, or any body of water to tell the truth. I cannot really remember if I ever swam on a lake..." Kazri comes back to the present. "Thus, Mr. Nimbatuul, in your opinion, is there anything that we can do to help these folks?"

"Except for taking a ship across the sea when I left Chult I have never had any experience with large water either. Never been a fan of water. This frozen northland is a far cry from the hot jungle I came from. But I do have a taste for fish."
Chill says enjoying the hot soup.
"I think the best we can do is find a way to stop this winter so life can return to normal here."
Rhogar lofts a brow ridge. "In terms of their monster, or in terms of their freezing problem? For as Master Krom mentioned, only the end of this obscene weather could ease thing in the latter. Though, considering how they've adapted, the freezing of their waters to such an extent is perhaps less an oddity and more a... feature of living so far north." He said with a shrug. "As for the former, it is as I said before. We'd have to ask the locals about the story and other odd fisherman tales to find the truth of the matter. For as large as the tales can get, there's always an odd nugget of truth. Then from there, likely find ourselves a boat."

"Interesting Rhogar, I would like to see such tentacled creature. Maybe they are some related to the mind flayers that plague the remote regions of the Underdark." says Krom while eating his soup.
"As for asking questions about the lake monster, standing to our information, it is harassing Bremen. People of this city may have not seen it or may not have more information, but I guess that before heading towards Bremen we could ask a few questions around. Beside us, the other patrons of this tavern are all fisherman, we could ask them." says the dwarf, "What do you think?"
Krom, finishing to eat his soup, glances around checking if some of the other patrons seem to pay attention to what the Fellowship is talking about. (Perception20)
Krom isn't sure if anyone is paying enough attention to them to be listening to their conversation. But the five of you with matching cloaks have certainly garnered attention.

"Well, we certainly won't find out sitting around in our own little corner. At least.. not in a place like this." Rhogar admits as he scanned the ground. But whereas Krom had been interested in gauging general interest in the party, the Bronze sought out for any seasoned looking fisherman, as it could be they knew enough legends or had family closer to Bremen that sent word. A few draconic words quietly spill past his lips as some of Vixix' divine power is summoned to help guide the search.
If after he found his guy or gal, Rhogar gestures over to them prior to rising up to have a look. And if not, he nodded in mute acceptance of defeat, and turned to waiting again for their meal.

Rhogar looks around and sees several possible subjects that he may wish to speak to. But after a few moments of consideration he he discards most as he is sure anyone still capable of fishing would be doing so at this time of day. Perhaps later tonight, but not at the noon meal. However he does spy one man, older than the rest, who may be one of interest. This man looks to be possibly retired, but he has the look of a man who has spent hard days working a boat.
Rhogar sighs in relief, and again after gesturing over to the man, would get up ready to approach him. Prior to taking his leave of the table, he adds, "Ma too has likely seen or heard her share of stories as well. So, for those willing to brave the effort, I would suggest doing the same when meals come by." With that and a wink, the Bronze is off, and bereft of Gorrah. She had instead taken it upon herself to challenge Oli to a staring contest while waiting for food to arrive.
"Greetings, my friend. I am Rhogar Nimbatuul. A dragonborn, in the event you have not heard of my ilk. And, one hoping you might share a drink and tales with this one. For where I'm from, it is often the more seasoned of body and spirit that are the best with the former, and with the latter, possess the most interesting ones." He introduced himself politely, giving an informal bow at the end.

Krom nods in agreement at the dragonborn's suggestion. The dwarf turns around looking for the Tavern keeper gesturing to her hoping to get her attention.
The man looks up at Rhogar as he approaches and introduces himself. "Aye, the speaker of Caer-Konig is dragonborn. Silver if I'm not mistaken. Can't say I make it that way very often. But this is what I know." He motions for Rhogar to sit. "So what can this old-timer help you with? You're not from around here, or even Ten-towns, I can tell that."
Meanwhile Krom waves Ma over and she brings a tray laden with hot stew and fresh bread.
Krom thanks the Tavern keeper as she brings the stew to the group. "Thank you for the hot food, it is a boon against this cold." Before Ma leaves the table the dwarf will ask "It is our first time in this town, we have been hearing that the city of Bremen is being harassed by a lake monster, are you having the same problems here too?"
Ma looks up from where she is getting some dinner plates ready. "Heaven's no! The harbor is usually still clear but this never ending winter has it locked up tight. "Thank you, we will pay a visit to that shop then." replies Krom to the tavern keeper.
The dwarf sits next to Chill and says to the tabaxi "Regarding Oli, I think that they do not care that much as long as the cub does not bite them."
"As for the armour, I will think of something for Oli next time we rest for the night." says Krom to Kazri.
