Rhogar replied as he took a seat, "No, my friend, I am not. I hail from a small fishing village off the Bay of Dancing Dolphins. A long, long, looong way to the south east from here, if I recall right. Beautiful place. If you ever have the chance to visit the general area, just say you're a friend of Hogran and most will treat you right." A melancholy smile briefly blooms at the name; but, he's quick to dismiss the idle thought to focus again on the man.
"Anyhow! Me and my fellows over yonder have heard tale of troubles within and without Ten Towns, and have done what we can where we can. That said, we are curious lot as well, and have heard of some of your lakes having recently become occupied by some great monster. I don't suppose you know anything about that? Or at least, some adjoining tales that might explain how it or other monsters of the sort came to be?"

Ma looks back as she answers Rekuburk. "They overfish, don't keep to their areas and are direct competition to our fisherman for the knucklehead trout. If they've got problems too bad for them."

The old timer that Rhogar is speaking to grunts at the idea of visiting the Bay of Dancing Dolphins. "Son, I've lived my whole life here and have never left. Not about to change that now. As for a monster in the lake? Can't say I've heard anything bothering our boats. I've heard boats from Breman have possibly had some trouble but don't know anything about it. Nothings bothering our boats and we're on the same lake." At this he gestures out the window. "Maer Dualdon is her name. My guess is those folks in Breman are making it up so they can try to get more concessions from Targos boats on sharing the lake. Flat lot it'll do them. They're making it up I tell ya. No one's talking of trouble here in Targos."
Krom returns to the table and reports to the group what he and Rekuberk heard from the tavern keeper "It seems that those folks in Bremen are not popular in this city. We could not get any useful information." The dwarf looks in the direction of the dragonborn "Maybe Rhogar is having more luck with that old fisherman." "I think that we should head to Bremen and check the situation by ourselves."
“Agreed Master Krom. However, we should have some reservations when listening to what the folks in Bremen have to say.” Says Kazri uncertain about what they will actually find at the next town.

Rekuberk can only not as he takes a brow before moving to join with the rest of the group. "You would think they would get along better with how dangerous just living here is..."
"Is that so?"Rhogar says, then rubbed his chin in thought. Then snorts and says, "Well that figures. Though the bay is great, my own aren't any strangers to fishing territory challenges. Though granted, its usually the tritons and sea elves that primarily with lines in the same pond."He nods to himself, and then simply nods. "Still, these are strange times, and you can never be too careful. Could be those Bremens made the wrong choice of... 'sacrifice'..."The last word he growls out with a mix of annoyance and general agitation to voice and expression. "Did not please the one responsible for this poor conditions."
After a moment, he then sighed and bowed his head. "But, I suppose me and mines will know soon enough. Thank you, uh... huh... I don't believe I got your name." Rhogar said, looking as close to sheepish as any dragonborn can. Once he had the name (or not), he spends at least a few minutes trying to weedle out the other odd tales out of the man, as well as share a few of his own. And as promise, would see about payign for at least a round of drinks prior to returning to the others with his findings.

"Maybe the folks in Bremen did something that they should not have done and awoke the lake monster." replies Krom to Rekuberk, "I guess that we will see it soon enough." The dwarf pauses for a moment "Let's wait what our friend Rhogar has discovered."
"True enough. It perhaps had to do with the fish they make there living off of." Rekuberk says with a bit of a shrug as he nods at the suggestion to wait.
"What would only attack Breman boats but not ones from Targos? Maybe something that only lives in their part of the lake? " Chill wonders as he finishes the stew.
"Name's Hamlin. I've fished this lake for knucklehead since I was old enough to walk. Been over 60 years I dare say, Maybe even 70. Lost track a long time ago. I've seen a fair amount but nothing like this winter that never ends. A man can get used to a lot but a reprieve from this winter would do the Ten-towns some good."
You share a few tall tales of the size of fish you've caught but you learn nothing more from the man of what may be happening in Breman.
After finishing her meal, Kazri thanks the innkeeper. “Perhaps it is time for us to find out what is happening at Bremen for ourselves.”
(@DM. How much is the meal?)

"It is indeed lass, let's travel to Bremen and check what is really happening there." says Krom while collecting his gear and preparing himself to the next leg of their journey.
Rhogar, who after spilling the tale upon rejoining the others, nods along in agreement as well. "At least, assuming the weather has gotten a midgen better. Otherwise, we mine as well stay the night, and get a fresh start the next morning. Who knows. Maybe, if albeit unfortunately, the ships here will start suffering a similar fate." He admits. "In which case, renting a ship here might just be in order. Isn't that right Oli?~"He said, shaking his head from side to side silly-like at the Owlbear.

"Bremen is not too far, we should be able to reach it before nightfall." says Krom "If the weather gets worse we can still return here and rest, but I would like to press on as I am eager to hear Bremen side of this lake monster's story."
Looking outside in the dim light you can see that snow still falls and is whipped around by the wind. A quick inquiry to Ma says that it might be a 3 or 4 hour walk to Breman but the trail has long been covered by snow and there is little travel between the towns of Breman and Targos these days. It is now about 2 in the afternoon.
Ma says its 4 gold for the meals and drinks you had while its 3 sp for the drinks Rhogar shared with Hamlin
Kazri looks wearily outside. "Perhaps Mr. Nimbatuul is right. We might have to stay for the night here."

"It looks like that the weather has not improved at all." says Krom taking a look outside "but if we keep a good pace, we could reach Bremen before nightfall." The dwarf scratching his chin adds "Or we could take use the rest of the afternoon searching for more information here in Targos.
