"Mn. Good idea. And we can also inquire with the town folk to see if anyone in particular knows of or ran afoul of this Ravisin, or might know where we might find them. Won't save us a trip to these waters, but if need be, we can confront them directly and go from there." Rhogar adds, still smelling of ozone for a while as Chill and Krom make ready to return them to shore. As a precaution, in between blessing Chill with the Wisdom of Vixix, the Dragonborn and Psuedodragon pair keep an eye out for any more sightings of the beast along the way.

"Good idea Mr. Nimbatuul. I will ask this Mr. Tali as well, and give back he notebook if he needs it. Perhaps he might be able to help us." Kazri tries to help with the rowing, now that they are heading back to shore.

As you make your way back towards the ice and the docks Krom is unable to miss a large chunk of ice and the boat takes 5 of damage. Chill on the other hand, with the help of Rhogar's guidance, is able to avoid the ice and you all make it safely back to shore.
Tali is waiting at the docks for your return. "Did you see it, did you?" he asks excitedly.
"Yes we did. It was affected by a spell that had given it reasoning. It has been attacking you on order to please the one that did cast the magic upon it." Rekuberk explains as he hops off the boat, looking back to the others.
Krom climbs out from the boat and while giving a quick glance at the damaged hull says to Tali "Our lad pretty much summarised the whole encounter with that beast. I have a few questions for you about this spellcaster, but I would like to have that conversation inside and not here in the open."
Rhogar just grunts in agreement, having heard the main bits already explained well enough. But after a moment he'll add, "We'll pay of course for the rounds and so forth. But, there is yet hope for resolving this peacefully... with your assistance, of course. Kazri or Chill here should also have something for you." He gestures to the pair, uncertain and too cold at the moment to try and remember which had been noting the event.

Kazri gives back Tali's notebook. "I tried to write down as much as I could from our encounter. I, humm... Also tried to draw a depiction of the creature."

"I can tell you with certainty that its a plesiosaurus. That's a marine dinosaur whose compact body is driven by powerful flippers. Predatory and aggressive, it attacks any creature it encounters. Its flexible neck accounts for a third of its total length, letting it twist in any direction to deliver a powerful bite. We had them in my native Chult, kinda surprised they live this far north but I'm not a biologist so can't say with any certainty." Chill adds.
"Come with me to the Buried Treasures then and I'll buy you all a warm drink and a meal." Tali says and eagerly listens to your reports and observations. He is utterly fascinated by Kazri's drawing and her detailed notes.
"I can't thank you enough for this information. Take thisspell scrollof animal friendship with my thanks. As for this druid, I do not know of any druid living near Bremen, so I can't help you there."
"Now what do you mean solve it peacefully and how do you need my help?"
"We can not say no to a warm drink and meal, lead the way Tali." says Krom to the elf. "I do not see any way to solve this matter peacefully. The spell that this druid casted on the creature may still influence its behaviour. We could try to dispel it, but if it does not work there is only one way to fix the problem."
Rhogar turns to Chip looking bug-eyed at the Tabaxi following the spiel. But then after a moment he calms and casually nods, seeming genuinely impressed at the fellow's breft of knowledge despite trying to be humble at the end. One trip to the Buried Treasures later, and he's guzzling down whatever amounted to a warm drink alongside Gorrah, and looking mighty pleased with it after. Though the bright smile soon turns to a more serious one after Krom laid down the reminder. "A task easier said then done. For like I said. Once that magic has been laid upon such an awakened creature, it takes upwards to... hm... a month, at least, for its subtle placating effect to leave it. And without the creature to tell us, or any noteable fishers who've dealt with it long enough, difficult to say how long it's been since the spell's casting."He admits.
"And I do not know of your own gifts so well to be sure. But none of my involve the removal of such conditions."Rhogar than turns to Tali and says, "But as for, Tali. Perhaps you can ask around on our behalf regarding either a Druid or at least the name itself. Could be this fellow hasn't exactly broadcast their abilities, and even has been right tolerable to observe Bremen's suffering. If nothing else, the people can be a bit more on alert for such an individual, and see to matters their own way."

"If we plan to fight it in the water then it would be wise to prepare spell for just such a purpose. I doubt the creature would have any trouble destroying a boat." Rekuberk said, seeming to perk up a bit at the mention of warm food and drink.
"Well, I can certainly ask around to see if anyone knows of this spellcaster. I understand that this creature is a threat, we can't have it attacking boats and hurting folks. If it is intelligent now can it be reasoned with perhaps? " Tali asks
Kazri looks around, and it seems that no one is interested in taking the spell scroll, so she will take it. "We should be the one thanking you for your assistance, master Tali. As for the creature, perhaps we can try again, but maybe we can bring some kind of incentive for it to be more friendly towards human?" She turns to Chill. "Chill, would you know if it has a 'favorite' food, or something that it would consider a treat?"
(@Orileo. Thanks, but I cannot draw if my life depended on it. I had to "outsource" it. I asked my daughter to draw the lake monster as if she is Kazri. Since she's familiar with our paladin, I think she got it. :-) A quick sketch by a very untrained hand.)

Krom scratches his beard as he replies to Rhogar "I know an hymn that it is normally used to suppress or dispel permanent magic. I could try that on the creature, but as I am not too familiar with druidic incantations, it may not be enough." The dwarf pauses a moment before continuing "However, if I manage to dispel the spell, the creature will revert to its previous aggressive nature, so in that case too we will have to deal with it in a permanent way."
"We should at least inform Speaker Duvessa or the Sheriff that this Ravisin is the cause of the problems here in Bremen and to pay attention." says the dwarf to the group "Tomorrow morning I will prepare a prayer ofSendingif you agree on this plan of action."

"Meat. They like meat. They eat fish and the like. This creature wasn't attacking boats before. It seems it only attacks the boats because the druid told it to. If we can revert it back to its old self it will likely stop attacking the boats again. But i have no idea if it's possible to do that. "
Rhogar grumbles and folds his arms over his chest. "If the hymn referring to is the one I think it is, trust me, it will not work. This magic isn't active in the same way as other spells in that their nothing to unbind, as I've been told. It's a true awakening of the mind and spirit, as it bolsters what's there, before -- as my kin put it -- letting nature and nurturing takes its course. And from what I've seen of all of our power so far, not a one of us have the means to undo it.... except by death."The Dragonborn deflates somewhat on that note.
"But, make what arrangements you can for tomorrow. And perhaps something to mend those boats as well as repayment for our... well, absconding with them. For a doubt the amount of fish we've gather so far will quite equate to taking off with another's livelihood for a day."He adds with a faint smile, before then looking to Kazri. "You've made a good point about the food. If nothing else, it hopefully will convince the poor soul to entreating with us at least once more."

"Of course, I think that we should at least attempt one last time to speak to it. Hopefully, bringing food with us will be helpful."
"Well, Cora runs the Buried Treasure. Perhaps she has some extra meat that she can offer to placate the beast. No one's going to offer you knucklehead trout, they are worth too much to the local economy."
Tali waves the woman over and she brings trays of food as well. Tali quickly explains your request and plan.
"I might be able to help with that. I've got some older mutton that will go bad soon that I don't want to sell. I'd be willing to part with it, for the good of the town. But I have a favor to ask as well. I need some help with my son." Cora says
