Rhogar raises a brow ridge alongside the uttering of "Oh?",before then relaxing further into his seat and regarding the woman with a curious look. "And how pretell can this band of ours be of assistance? Though you are doing both us and the town a great deal in passing over this mutton. I would be remiss in admitting that some of us might not be quite as skilled in the understanding the ways of the younger kin. But of course, we would promise to our do our best."

"As said d we will help how we can. I for one would rather not hurt the creature to be honest. It is simply doing a favor to one it feels did it a great service. Now what do you need us to do for your son?" Rekuberk asks, nodding to Rhogar.
"Thank you for the mutton, we will put it to good use I hope." says Krom to the woman "As for helping your son, as my companions just said, we will do what we can, but we are good at dealing with dangerous creatures and monsters, I do not know how can we be of help. But please do tell."
"Thank you for the muttons, I hope that it will aid the town. Now, I must agree with my dragonborn colleague, but do tell us what troubles you ma'am. We will try to help as best as we can." Says Kazri as she thinks how possibly she could be useful in dealing with youngsters.

Cora gives the tabaxi a sour look as her smile fades for a moment and then returns. She explains her problem.
"My only child, Huarwar, used to help with the chores until two months ago. He had joined a search party to find Speaker Shalescar after he went missing during a blizzard one afternoon. The speaker was brought back safe and sound, but Huarwar got separated from the others and didn’t find his way home until the following morning. He had frostbite and could barely walk.
Over the next few days, Huarwar displayed a meanness toward his me that was uncharacteristic. The change in his demeanor started after I found what looked like a shard of black ice in his room. Huarwar snatched it away and threatened me with bodily harm if I touched it again.
The next day, two tieflings arrived at the inn and offered Huarwar sanctuary in their castle. He left with them willingly, taking the shard with him and telling me that he would never return. The tieflings wore amulets that looked much like the shard in Huarwar’s possession. I miss my son terribly and hope he is still alive. I know that there are only two castles in Ten-Towns: an intact one in Caer-Dineval and a ruined one in Caer-Konig. I don't want you to mount a search and rescue, but if you see him in your travels could you check on him and see if he'll come home, or at least send me word he is OK?"
Krom listens carefully to Cora's story and as soon as she finished he says "By what you have just told us, it seems that the shard of black ice is the origin of your son strange behaviour. It could be some kind of cursed item, but if those tieflings also had similar shards as amulets it may be something different." The dwarf pauses as he turns around towards the rest of the group "Since it was already our intention to visit Caer-Dineval and Caer-Konig, it should not be a problem for us to also look for this boy. Both cities seem to have problems with strange figures and interlopers." Krom asks to Cora "Would you mind to describe us better those tieflings?"
Rhogar gave Chill a rather confused look for the comment, but soon brushed it off to focus on Cora's explination. A story that by the end of it, left the Bronze absently brushing back the neck fin in deep thought. "That would be good to know in the event we run into them first. Though color me not surprised if when we do, these fellows -- the tieflings -- are somehow mixed up as well with the bringer of this terrible weather." Gorrah visibly shuddered at the reminder.

"Well that seems easier than the talk. We'll keep an eye out for your son. That shard certainly seems suspicious. Strange things are occurring in Ten Towns."
Kazri's halo glows slightly from the mention of the shard of black ice. "Worry not ma'am. If we find your son, we will try our best to help him. We are to make a delivery, then we should be heading to those two towns next. However, any detail that you can give us of your son, so we can recognize him, and also of the tieflings would be of great help."

"There was a man and a woman, both tieflings. They had shards similar to my son. I don't know much beyond that. She was younger I suppose and he was older than she. That's all I know." Cora answers
"Mn. That's not much to go on. But, considering the weather conditions here and everyone bundling up -- rightly so, it's still a good deal. Besides, just how many tieflings can there be up this far north?"Rhogar asked, not really expecting an answer. "As far as I'm aware, they're not all too common. Moreso than my own kin beyond the homelands far to the east, but still..." Both he and Gorrah shrugged at that, before the latter returned to her meal. "But as my compatriot here has said, what of the boy's appearance, age, and so forth."

"I agree Rhogar, I do not think that many tieflings live in the Ten Towns." says Krom "I would prefer to have more details, but we will have to work with what we have." The dwarf waits then for Cora to describe her son to the group before adding anything else to the conversation.
"Huarwar is a brooding, pessimistic man in his late twenties. He is of average height and build with dark hair." Cora answers.
As she does so Grynsk enters the tavern and seeing your group he stomps over "What did ya fools do to me boats! Did you find every bit of ice to slam them into! And how many fish did ya catch? You were out there for hours!" he bellows.
"We may not have caught much fish, but we did sight the lake monster. I would say the mission could have gone better, but at the very least we have confirmed that there is actually a monster in the lake." Says Kazri seriously, for she is not one to make light of things.

"I caught a couple but I fed them to Oli, he was hungry. I'll pay for the damages to the boat though, cause that's my fault. Will 5 gold cover the cost of repairs? I actually feel kinda bad cause I think Rhogar and Rekuburk were getting sea sick from my rowing. But we really aren't fishermen, or ladies for that matter." Chill looks over at Kazri with a grin on his face. "No offense. I mean, I'm not really even a man so how would you say that... fishertab... fisheraxi, no...fisherbaxi...no none of those seem right. I just ain't a good fishertype ok?"
"Your boats were already damaged. Well that and it was perhaps not a wise choice to send people that have no experience on these waters out without a more experienced sailor..." Rekuberk said, still seemingly taking in what they had been told about the boy and the strange tieflings.
As Cora finishes to describe her son Krom says "Thank you, we will do our best."
"As my friends already said, the boats were already damaged, at least the one I was in was not in its best shape, but, even if we are not fishermen we managed to get some fishes." Krom says to Grynsk "However, we will need some of those fishes to lure again the lake monster and hopefully put an end to all the problems the beast is causing to this town." The dwarf pauses a moment before saying "I can offer my services to repair the boats, your fishing nets and implements."
Rhogar huffs before adding with a bit of mirth to his tone, "You and Rekuberk might not be fisherman, but /I/ am, as I'm sure I've mentioned before. You were just so eager to take the reigns that I dared not dampen your spirits. But be that as it may, you did better than most bornlings out for their first trip at sea. So, no need to put yourself so down."
He then flashes a grin at Chill, before then looking to Rekuberk with a raised brow, "I'm... Also not sure it was his idea to go without us per se. We just kind of, uh... 'borrowed' the boats without clearing the air there. Which--"He turns on Grynsk. "For any added damage I do apologize. But as recompense, I hope you trust my compatriots here's word on being able to repair it all." Since the questioning about the catch, a guilty Gorrah curled deeper into the shadows of Rhogar's hood. While Oli had gotten a hold of Chill's catch by the Tabaxi's own actions, the psuedodragon on the other hand stole Rhogar's sole gains in the endeavor.

"So no fish and damaged boats eh? But I suppose if you can put an end to the monster and make my boats right I'll take the 5 gold as compensation for losses and let you use the boats again. But ya gotta take care of the problem. Its hurting my business and this town." Grynsk growls. He seems oblivious to the fact that he mentioned the monster having denied its existence earlier.
"I've got rooms available you can use for the night to rest. You look out for my son and that's the least I can do for you." Cora adds.
