"That is certainly fine by me. The sooner the better at that... in fact, perhaps someone in Town Hall has more on our little assassin."Rhogar replied, thumbing his chin towards the end. "And if not, it was worth a try at least. For ever little bit of effort is one step closer much needed."

As you get ready to leave Copper calls out to you. "If you get the chance to check on my friend at the Black Cabin can you bring him these provisions? Its just food and oil and such, nothing special, but he'll need the help all alone out there. I'm worried about him. I can't pay you but would appreciate the help. I can't go out there myself."
He offers up an Explorer's Pack
Mishann smiles. "I offer free healing to those who do this for him. He means well and that pack cost him more than he can likely afford."
Whether you accept or not you leave the building and make your way to the Town Hall which is just off of the Market Square and easy to find.
There you are met by Sheriff Markham Southwell who introduces himself.
"Greetings folks and welcome to Bryn Shander. I had heard there were newcomers in town. Talk is all over town of a bard and a troop of outsiders wearing matching cloaks. I hope your intentions in my town are good as I don't need more trouble. I have enough of it as it is. In fact you folks could solidify your good graces with me, if that's your intention, by helping me out with something."
Chill had been silent during the visit to the House of the Morninglord. He watched the gnome with interest as he flipped his stone of good luck in his hand and leaned against a wall at the back of the group.
As Copper makes his last plea for help something inside him feels for the poor gnomes plight. He steps forward and offers to take the pack.
"I can't make any promises that we'll make a special trip just to deliver this, but if we are in the area I'll do my best to check in on your friend and deliver this okay?" He says as he takes the pack and holds it up.
Later after they have left he slides up next to Rhogar "Any chance you got room in that fancy bag of your to carry this pack Copper wants delivered? I don't fancy lugging it around everywhere but will if need be. But you know, bottomless bag and such maybe there's a spot in there?"
"In theory, yes. But, as you can see, as it is, we would hardly be able to get it past the mouth of said bottomless bag. So, until we get back to the Northlook and can break it down it all for ease, I'm afraid you'll have to hold on to it for a while yet." Rhogar said, giving Chill an apologetic grin, before then patting the feline man on the shoulder. "Looks like those gloves are already gonna pay off though!" He added, chuckling.
It's perhaps just after those last few words that the group are entering Townhall and greeted by the Sherrif. In response to which, he cannot help but turn and grin down at Krom. "It may not have been the "board" you meant, but it looks as if your instincts were right on the money, Master Krom."

"Greetings, and well met Mr. Southwell. Name's is Kazri, and we call ourselves the Fellowship of the White Cloaks. We came to Neverwinter Dale to help as best as we can. We just arrived, and we have found plenty that needs our assistance. How may we assist you." Says Kazri, almost saluting the Sheriff, but she stopped herself short.

"As my friend said we would be glad to help. I do not know what troubles you may be facing on top of this seemingly endless cold but if we can be of service then I would think all of us would be happy to." Rekuberk says.
Krom nods to Copper and Chill "We will help you Copper, do not worry."
Krom grins back to Rhogar as the Sheriff asks for the Fellowship's help. "Our intentions are good Sheriff, we plan to resolve problems not to cause them." says the dwarf. Krom waits for the Sheriff to explain what kind of aid he may need before saying anything else.
"And I hope that you speak truth. I don't know if you know it or not, but Icewind Dale is the far reaches of nowhere. People come here to hide. Few chose to live here, at least right away, because they want to but the place does grow on you. But most are running from trouble, the law or any other long list of troubles they've had in the south. We keep the peace mostly because once you are here you realize you have to work together to stay alive. But this blasted everwinter is truly taking its toll. And there are always other problems. We can discuss more if you prove you are here to help."
He eyes you closely.
"So you want to help? Good. Help me with a goblin problem I have. A goblin messenger from Karkolohk was recently captured in Bryn Shander and found to be carrying a declaration of peace from Chief Yarb-Gnock, addressed to Speaker Duvessa Shane. Yarb-Gnock would like Speaker Shane to send delegates to Karkolohk to conduct “treaty negotiations.” I don’t believe a word of Yarb-Gnock’s message. Karkolohk is a goblin prison-fort clinging to an icy crag in the rocky, wind-blasted western foothills of the Spine of the World. From this ramshackle mountain roost, the goblins launch raids against caravans traveling to and from Ten-Towns and mount hunting expeditions across the tundra. You'll be my delegates. Take care of this problem and help Ten-Towns out and we'll have more to discuss when you get back. I'm offering a reward of 300 gp for the goblin chieftain’s head."
"An interesting proposal Sheriff, bashing some goblins' heads will surely help us fight this cold." replies Krom "Do you have idea of how many goblins live in that fort? We are capable, yes, but we are not an army." says the dwarf scratching his beard. "When those negotiations should be held and how far is the goblin fort from Bryn Shander?"
"No, I don't know how many live there. I've never been and know no one who has. But as I said this dreaded winter is affecting us all. Maybe the goblin's proposal is genuine. I don't believe it is though. Its likely a couple days travel to it. You would follow the Ten Trail south until you get to the river The Redrun. Follow that west along the Spine of the World and I'm told you'll find the fortress. You'll go as diplomat's so I assume, if the offer is genuine, you won't need to fight your way in. I'll leave it to you. Just solve this issue of goblin raids and I'll give the pay."
Rhogar grimaces. "You'll have to forgive me then to hope these goblins have either seen the light, or at least wizened up enough to understand that this is no time for such despicable acts... Not that there ever IS such a time. But, the point stands more readily considering this Ice Maiden or whatever she's called is rather indiscriminate in embracing people of this land with her power over the cold and dark."
Gorrah cocks her head at the comment, and then claws at Rhogar's cheek until he looked to her. "... That is also a possibility... If nothing else, seeking these goblins may yield another side to this story. A side that those in the light might even be ashamed to speak of."He adds mysteriously, and then finally looks to the others. "As hinted at by our feline friend, we cannot promise being able to seek them out immediately. But we will do so on yours and Ten Towns behalf as soon as possible. Though, is there anything you would pass on to us to substantiate our claims of being the negotiators? Or are they to take us at our word?"

The sheriff hands you a small blue flag. "The messenger carried this and advised it was a token to be used to show you come as diplomats. It hopefully gains you entry without a fight, though you look like a lot that could handle goblins easy enough. Come back when you are done." He continues "As for a money changer, just off the market square is a small house with a sign with coins, you'll find them there."
He gives you easy directions and you quickly find your way to the moneychangers. They are glad to see their money safely brought to you and offer you 5 gold pieces as payment for the safe delivery. They are pleased that you were honest folk and had not stolen the money and your reputation in the town rises as word of your honesty in the dealing with the money is passed around. They let you know that Gale, the half-elf you found found deceased, had no family but was a dedicated worker and they they are saddened that he could not be properly buried, but life in Icewind Dale is often harsh and unforgiving.
((Feel free to ask anymore questions of the Sheriff.))

"Indeed! You raise a very good point, Miss Kazri. Though they may not care much for this messenger, it could even be possible as to have this goblin 'returned' in a show of further good faith."Rhogar adds to Kazri point. "They will of course be escorted by us at the time that we set out for their tribe, just to make sure they make it. Naturally... But if you are of a different desire on that front, Good Sheriff, then on that point we would be wise not to press."

"I doubt that the goblins are going to peacefully stop their raids, but at least with that token we should be able to enter the fort and bring the fight to them." says Krom "I would prefer to avoid travelling with a goblin, if he is still in custody here, we could just take the token and let him return on his own. Or better let him enjoy the prison of Bryn Shander."
“Perhaps, we could at the very least speak with this messenger. We may have a better insight on their intentions.” Kazri suggests.
