"Bah," Donos says to Kaenis. "You would drain even Hedone's will to live. Would that we encounter Typhon in our travels, so you could talk him to death."
Donos opens his armor and bares his chest. He then wedges his trident into the bank of the lake, prongs resting against his chest, right at his heart. Then in one swift powerful motion he rises up and impales himself on the trident, snuffing his own life out.
(Rhaecus would as well, though for a different reason. He doesn't want the burden of his murder on someone else's conscience, so he would much rather do it himself.)
The Satyr flinches as Donos offs himself casually. "Surely not? ...Damn it all." He sighs, defeated by the seemingly inevitable death of all of them. "Very well, friends. I see no choice but to accept this. But I will not burden your conscience with the murder of such a charming Satyr, nay bhaaaa. Killing a friend is pain that I would not wish on any decent soul."
He draws a thin sword from his waist, the elaborate gold inlay making it too obvious that it should not belong to a normal traveler. The blade's design is for piercing, likely forged around the Mycenae region. He hesitates as he tries to find a good way to kill himself, something he had never considered before. After fiddling for a bit, he seems to have settled for an upwards thrust just under his chin, all the way through the top of his skull.
One suicide later...
"Pah! Never let it be said... that Rhaecus of the Raving Drums is a coward." He says has he drags himself out of the water, still in shock at having died... This time voluntarily. "He may be wisest of fools and most foolish of wise men but no coward. Damn that was terrible."
One brief step into oblivion and back later, you stand together, feeling both refreshed and rather wet. Jason places rings on each of your corpses and torches them, and as they disappear into flame the rings appear on your fingers.
"Now that we're all done with that, would you all be so kind as to board? Quickly, now, I'd say I don't have all day but I'd be lying, I have literally nothing better to do."
Without another word Jason enters the boat and begins to prepare to sail.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Donos claps Rhaecus on the back as he walks past and on to the boat.
”That was truly something. Awakening in the water. Magnificent,” he says. “And that was a masterful finishing thrust you used to end your . . . existence.”
He shouts after Jason, “is there truly no limit to how many times you can do that? And you always wake up in the lake?”
Kaenís nods at Rhaecus and Donos. “Now that, is something I can respect.”
She will then follow Zaela aboard the ship. Looking at Jason, she continues. “I’m sure you have made this journey countless times, with others who have attempted to escape. Have the previous ventures ever given any advice?”
Rhaecus grins at Donos as he gets clapped on the back. He offers a helping hand to Arteusa as the others head on, "Sailing has never been a strong suit of my centaur friends in life. Unsteady footing, they say."
Arteusa, who had been hesitating, gladly takes the offered hand. "I have never been on a ship," she agrees, already looking uncertain. "They always said I was not built for such things."
"The worst that can happen is you fall in the water," he says.
"I know swimming is also something that gives you pause. But trust me, fishboys," he says with a nod to Kaenís, "are strong swimmers. I will keep you from drowning."
Rhaecus clops aboard after helping Arteusa on. "It is to be expected, no? Without the gods to call on in this dark time, we must rely on one another. I will certainly be relying on you and our other companions in the future. Now then, let us see what this trip has to offer!"
After you all board, the boat heads off, seemingly piloting itself. It heads into the lake, and though it never seems to turn, it somehow goes around the island, which remains as far away as it was when you began your journey. Soon, the lake narrows, slowly turning into more of a river, and then... well, it stops. Beyond, there's just empty air.
"Everyone, get below, we're about to go down! Oh, yeah, forgot to tell you, we're totally going over a waterfall and plunging into the depths of Tartarus."
Yeah, that's happening, I guess.

Rhaecus hands Donos a coil of thick strong rope and pats him on the shoulder. He was buried with his tools and no adventurer will go anywhere without rope. On his way down, he begins singing a popular sailor's shanty, using his own clops as a beat to the song.

Great, Zaela thinks. Somehow I knew this would go to Tartarus.
Zaela says, "Remind me later to never get on another boat in the Underworld."
