Alright, I placed people on the map that weren't. rolling Fenhorns init 13 And now that I've got my hands on the first high level fight, I can actually focus on combat flavor and fun storyline text rather than just having a boring combat.
As heroes finish off Chorust and his minions first and then Dagon last having an easy combat, they realize Jupiter is nothing but pure hell, and they were lucky the spell allowed them to breathe the gas, as they enter their spaceship, they just barely make it out of the atmosphere without being hit by all of Jupiter's disasters. Just then they get a distress call that a Demon is terrorizing some planet. It then climbed a beanstalked and took to the clouds as 1000s of angry mob people chase after it, the Demon could have taken them on, but thousands just might be enough to kill him and Demogorgon isn't going to take on 1000+ people at a time. Just then your spaceship captain leaves you off on the clouds. "I'll pick you up in say 1 hour if you are still alive, good luck." Demogorgon a giantic Demon with two heads and a long tail stares at you all. "I'll drag you all to the Abyss and your souls will be trapped there forever."
OOC: Well, I had to misty step to even get in range. The fighter will need to Dash to get in melee range.
Invisible, I run at the target cloud, dematerialize before I fall off, rematerialize on the other side of the gap, keep running, and lash out at Demogorgon with just a touch of magic. That done, I stop, bend over, and gasp for breath.
32 to hit with chill touch, dealing 14 necrotic damage.
(Side note: in the first post, DoubleGold, you indicated we would need a level 20 cleric to defeat some creatures regen (or did I misinterpret that?) Why would Chill Touch not accomplish that?)
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
Well I guess it's a good thing I didn't ;P I can still open up the Edit on my post to view the formulas without causing the nasty warning banner.

Characters:
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
(Side note: in the first post, DoubleGold, you indicated we would need a level 20 cleric to defeat some creatures regen (or did I misinterpret that?) Why would Chill Touch not accomplish that?)
Only if the creature has an ability called Divine Rank 1 (which applies to CR 31 creatures or higher) you need a Cleric to defeat the Regen, as well as other things Divine Rank does. Almost forgot, this fight your god gave you greater divine intervention as he does every fight, so all Cleric do 5 extra damage. If the creature has no Divine rank, the Clerics god makes the attacks hit harder, if there is a Divine Rank, the God provides the Cleric with Divine Rank 6 instead. But Demogorgon doesn't have a Regen on HP, so no worries.
Brundir runs up to the Demon and then bends time for a like a split second, just enough to allow him to get the attacks off on the Demon and delivers four slashing wounds to Demogorgon, and delivers 2 hits to Demogorgons legs at a 45 degree hoping he will fall over. (but trip attack says it can only knock over creatures large or smaller, 2 by 2 and Demogorgon is 3 by 3) However Demogorgon is too large to trip. The tactic however allowes Brundir to cut Demogorgon all the way up his leg without taking an extra swing making it hurt worse. The third swing was going for the lower end of the legs, but then Brundir realizes the upper half the thigh would be better and he swings there as there is more meat there, but they stick out more then the lower end making them easier to hit (81 dmg dealt to Demogorgon)
Aeotoris is kind of far away, but he manages to touch the Demon without even being near him, either way the Demon doesn't like it as there is a now a black and blue spot on the Demon in the shape of a hand. (Aeotoris is a Cleric, right, you actually did 19 dmg, that makes 100 dmg dealt to Demogorgon).
Lair Action: you see Demogorgon start to Blur out and another copy of him is right next to him, now you can't tell which one is him and which one is the illusion, as the copy is almost directly on top of him.
Demogorgons Turn, he will swings his tentacles against Brundir32
and 2nd attack 23
if hit take 45 and another 47 and make me two con saves dc 23 or you max HP is reduced for each one you fail.
The second time Demogorgon tries to swing harder only to swing more sloppily.
The cleric runs towards the warrior in support of his actions. Unfortunately, he is too far to help in deflecting the Fiend's tentacles. By the way, he reaches a closer position and activates his Corona of Light ( Aura of sunlight that lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it using another action. You emit bright light in a 60-foot radius and dim light 30 feet beyond that. Your enemies in the bright light have disadvantage on saving throws against any spell that deals fire or radiant damage).
After Vosiel casts a light at Demogorgon, he doesn't like the light, but it doesn't blind him. It reminds him of your god.
One of Demogorgons attacks sucked the life out of Brundir.
demogorgon legendary action 1: he flips his tail around in an attempt to hit Brundri 35 if it hits 26 dmg and it does hit but not nearly as hard as what his claws did, or rather, the tail whipped on the ribs and the claws hit a more tender spot.
(95 Dmg on Demogorgon, 118 Dmg on Brundir 47 of which cannot be healed.)
Archy peers (unseen) over the clouds. He shakes his head. Two of them? No, it's an illusion. He closes his eyes opting not to rely on his sight. Even "blind" he looses a volley of arrows using his Sharpshooting on the first arrow. With his eyes closed he can still "see". He senses tangible surfaces and, in his mind, the world appears like charcoal on paper. He can see only 30 feet this way, and for only 5 minutes. (Blindsight 30')
Acrobatics to free his hands DC 15: 22
Attack 1 (with disadvantage cancelling his advantage): hits AC 26 for 22 piercing damage.
Attack 2: hits AC 22 for 15 piercing damage.
Attack 3: hits AC 20 for 11 piercing damage.
He then flies his broom closer giving up his position. He flies across the gap and lands stowing the broom on his back. He takes a few steps closer as he casts... Pointing his outstretched finger at the demon, he makes an odd gesture moving his thumb down in quick motions releasing rays of crackling energy with each drop "pew pew!" He casts Quickened Eldritch Blast.
Ray 1: hits AC 19 for 7 force damage.
Ray 2: hits AC 19 for 7 force damage.
Ray 3: hits AC 28 for 7 force damage.
Ray 4: hits AC 26 for 7 force damage.
Archy opens his eyes hoping to gauge the effectiveness of his attacks. Not bad! (Of course I fumbled four d10s... Two probably missed anyway)
(I'm assuming this version of Blur, like the Wizard's, relies on sight.)
So does having the Spellguard Shield provide advantage vs. demogorgon's hp reductions? If so, I will re-roll my CON saves.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
blindsight Just had to look it up to be sure of everything.
Archy fires several shots at Demogorgon, but 3 of them miss bouncing off of his thick hide or skin (ac is 22), but two eldritch blasts and one arrow find the to Demogorgons hands and feat.
(edit nevermind, eldritch blast doesn't function the same a way a wizard or sorcerer cantrip does. eldritch blast)
(124 Dmg on Demogorgon, 118 Dmg on Brundir 47 of which cannot be healed.)
@Barlow, after checking spellguard shield, no, cause I don't consider it a magical effect, but a purely necrotic one. The gazes you would have advantage against though.
Demogorgon legendary action 2: He will use another tail attack against brundir, brute force has been working well for him, so he will finish off the round with it 25 to hit. And if it does 21 dmg. But Demogorgon's tail gets caught on a small raised part of a cloud forcing him to have to pull it back costing him valueable time.

7 shots (3 arrows, and 4 rays), 3 miss, 1 arrow, and 2 rays hit. I think we lost an arrow. First arrow (sharpshooter) hit AC 26.
Also, it looks like you added my damage to Bründir. Sorry, buddy, I wasn't watching what I was doing!

Fixed now, oops. I may have to pm madcaster here, Fenhorn was inactive before this fight.
He's 14 hour ahead of me (when I'm home.) I poked at him in the telepathic bond. I figure he may well be asleeping. It's... 2:00 am there.
Still missing that first (and best) arrow in the damage.
