The party stands there, looking into the cloakroom, standing in the main hall when things begin to change. It's subtle at first. Bob, Ermren, and Dmitri pick up on it almost at once. The rest of the party quickly takes note of the change, taking their cues from Bod and the others.
At first, things seem as they were when you entered this place. An old house with a layer of dust covering everything. You notice a few spots here and there that appear to be dust free. It's not that significant at first but, as you look around more and more dust free spot emerge.
Then, without any warning, there is a light on the far wall. It appears abruptly and is stationary. Then 2 more appear along the wall. Then other lights appear at specific points on the walls. Once your vision adjusts to this new light you see fixtures coming from the walls which hold the lights. The fixtures are at specific points along the walls of the room. And as you check, all rooms you have been in so far have light.
You look to the staircase. Lights shine from the walls of the staircase, reflecting off the Sacrlet marble or the stairs. The light's reflection gives the stairs an almost blood appearance about them.
All of you hear a faint pop and smell wood burning. Your gaze immediately falls upon the black marble fire place. There are logs inside the fireplace and they are burning. A popping sound comes form the logs now and again as the fire burns through deposits of water within the wood. The fragrence of oak and cherry gently flows through the room from the fireplace.
You look about you. The room is illuminated and there are no signs of the dust you saw when you entered. Nothing else has changed outside of these 3 things.
Ermren looks around at the changes with a nod of approval, "Much better. Perhaps we released a cleaning spirit or some such? I wonder how it was done..." And he will begin to examine the closet they just opened.

Dmitri grips his longsword even tighter as the scene about him changes. He fervently looks about the party to be sure there are no immediate threats As he is unnerved by the recent change.
Gillain stands amazed as the room seems to transform around them. It seems to come alive as she watches! Lights, fire, no dust, almost like it’s lived in again... “What just happened?!... ... ...Ermren? You can sense magic, right?... Is this all magic? Is this all an illusion??”.
Gillain moves over to the fire. Can she feel warmth? She takes a small piece of jerky from her rations in her pack and tosses it into the fire. Does it burn and char as expected?
She comes back over to Ermren and examines the small cupboard with him. “This cupboard seemed to cause of all this. What is it in here that made this happen?!”. She looks inside with her dwarven friend...
Bob lets out a yelp of surprise and tries to scurry away from the sudden light, but thankfully the more brave members of the party are in his way so he has to face his fears. Those fears prove to be unfounded as all that happens is the place gets magically spruced up a bit. "Certainly less stuffy in here now. Maybe this place is haunted, but with friendly spirits?" He sounds more hopeful than he is certain.
He focuses on the lights, hoping to find a source. In his search he closely examines the fixtures that hold the lights.
Everyone sees the amazing transformation to the rooms as you all stand transfixed watching the change complete itself.
The fixtures appear to be made of metal and extend out of the wall, curve down about 2 inches then curve back upwards about 3 inches. At the end of the curve is a light source of some type. it appears to be made of glass with the core of it creating the light. The glass bulb is hot to the touch.
The change completes itself. What does the party do/
Ermren will take a moment to recast Detect Magic as a ritual while the others look around. Afterwards, he'll head over to the next door and peek through.
Gillain has a proper rifle through the cupboard. Any thing on the floor in there? She’ll rummage through each of the cloaks and capes. Anything in the pockets? Any weapons or shoes or anything?

As the shock of the transformation passes and no immediate threats present themselves, Dmitri suggests the party try the door between the hallway they were just in and the door to the dining room. He will diligently continue to serve as the rearguard watching the parties back to not be taken unawares.
The party makes it's way to Door #4, in the little hall, along the south wall.
Dmitri opens the door. The room is well lit. As you all start to pile in you find the kitchen area of the house.
Along the north and west walls, you find shelves used for storing the various kitchen items. All the dishware, cookware, and utensils are stored on these shelves in a neat and orderly fashion.
Along the south wall of this room, you see a worktable. A rolling pin and cutting boards lay on top of the table.
Near the east wall of this room, you see a large stove with an iron stovepipe that goes form the stove to a hole in the ceiling. You feel a small bit of what coming from the stove and find hot coals inside as you open the door of it. Behind the stove and to the left of it is a door. You open that door and find a well-stocked pantry.
There is a small door in the southwest corner of the room. it is about 2 ft. by 3 ft. and is about 4 feet up the wall. You open it to find a dumbwaiter pully system inside.
Everyone hears a faint rustling sound coming from somewhere above. The sound seems to be coming from somewhere up in the dumbwaiter shaft. Just as suddenly the sound is heard, it's gone.
Gillain says "What was that?!" and goes over to examine the dumbwaiter. Can she still see or hear anything up the shaft? Can she activate it, to get whatever's up there to come down??
Ermen moves over to the dumbwaiter and checks to see if its functional, then looks to Bob, "Feel like taking a little ride?" (assuming its big enough to do so, otherwise will just suggest heading upstairs).
Bob moves his hand toward one of the glowing globes and almost touches it but feels the warmth and, assuming it to be some sort of magic, decides he had better leave it be. Wandering over next to his fellow dwarf he peeks inside the very nearly dwarf-sized door and then glances at Ermren, worry etched into his face. "You're not suggesting I- I couldn't possibly- all by meself?!"
“Sounds like a plan to split up... a terrible idea. Let’s just find a way around. There are still steps.” James examines to see if any of this is an illusion.

Bob nods animatedly at James. "Young mister James here has the right of it, I think! Look, if you're really so interested in what's in the bloody dumbwaiter, I'll look in there."
Bob tries to fit as much of his head as he can in the space so he can look upwards toward the source of the rustling sound, peering up into the darkness with his keen dwarven eyes.
Each of your attempts to locate the source of the sound from above but, the shaft leaves little in the way of a proper vantage point to see anything but a dark dumbwaiter shaft.
James: You find no evidence that this is an illusion.

The party, finding no source of the sound nor anyone willing to take a dumbwaiter ride alone, makes their way to the stairs and up to the next floor. As you get to the stairs you see the last door in the downstairs area that you haven't been through.
You manage to make it to the top of the stairs without any incident. As you come to the top of the steps you enter into a 25 ft. by 15 ft. room. There is a door immediately to the right of you at the top of the stairs.
You notice that there are 4 identical suits of armor standing in this room, 2 along the east wall of the room and 2 along the west wall of the room. The first set of armor you see is 10 ft. from the stairwell and is facing west. Amor set 2 is 20 ft. from the stairwell and facing west as well. There is a set of mahogany double doors between the sets of armor. The other two sets of armor are along the west wall and are facing east. They are spaced at the same intervals as the 2 sets along the east wall and same in appearance. Between these two sets of armor are a pair of mahogany wooden doors. Each suit of armor is holding a spear and the visor of each helm is in the shape of the face of a wolf.
Along the Northwall is a large fireplace. There is a fire burning there and it is the only light source in this room. Above the fireplace, on the mantle is a large portrait of a family. In the background stands a man of fair complexion and appears to be well-groomed and finely dressed. To his left stands a woman of middle age, wearing a pink dress and hat. She appears to be holding a young child wrapped in a blanket. In the foreground of the portrait stands to 2 children who begged you to embark on this investigation. They are dressed just as they were when you met them.
The marble stairs you used to come up to this floor continues to another floor. There is no light coming from the next floor and a cool draft can be felt coming down the stairs.
