Bob gasps at the ferocity of the vampire's attacks on Gillain, targeting her with a Healing Word spell.

5 HP healed on Gillain.

He also conjures more druidic flame to hurl at Duro.

Tio will continue to attack the vampire hoping to draw some of its attention away from Gillain!

Ban stops moving, seeing Duro not take the bait, sheathes the sword and pulls out a rather small bow from her back. Taking a brief knee, she quickly knocks an arrow and fires it at the boy. Taking a few steps back, the eladrin states, "It may be our only hope. Sunlight."

Round 4 recap: 

Again Duro's attention is drawn to Gillain, striking her once with his claws.

Gimble casts his spell but Duro seems unaffected by it.

Ban turns and launches an arrow into the vampire.

Tio strikes at Duro but misses both times.

Gillan attacks, again missing with her spear point but hitting with the blunt of her weapon.

Bob calls out a prayer and heals some of the damage Gillain has taken from the vampire. He then summons more flame and launches at Duro. The fire hits but not fully on its mark doing a little damage.

Duro has been hit several times by the party and the wounds are visisble but, each of you can tell by the blood lust in his eyes he is far from down and either unwilling or unable to give up.

Round 5:

Duro launches his attacks with Gillain as his focus. "More Blood!" he yells as he attacks her.

Attack #1-Claw: 10

Both attacks miss.

Gillain manages to avoid the last few attacks from Duro. She feels like she might be getting on a better footing now, and takes the chance to attack twice again…

Gimble:

Unsure what else to do, Gimble drops another Frostbite onto Duro, hoping to freeze him and continue to slow his attacks -- why not, it made him miss last time, right?

DC 13 Con Save or 6 frost damage and disadvantage on next attack.

Bob shouts as Duro's raking claws miss Gillain narrowly, "If ye need a break from gettin' yer face clawed at I can assist!"

He didn't sound quite convinced but he raises his Shillelagh encouragingly before casting Chill Touch on Duro once again.

Chill Touch: 14 Damage: 3

With his move he'll pick up his shield and prepare for melee combat if need be.

Ban offers a quiet prayer in Elvish as she takes a knee, sights and lets loose another arrow at the unfortunate child.

Tio will grapple the vampire in hopes of slowing down his attacks!

Duro attacks Gillain but misses.

Gimble casts his spell.

A layer of frost covers Duro and he winches.

Ban launches another arrow, striking Duro. 

Tio moves in and attempts to grapple with Duro but fails to get control of the vampire. Strenght check: 22

Gillain thrusts then swing the blunt of her spear. Both blows land, doing damage to the vampire.

Bob casts another spectral skeletal hand at the vampire but misses. 

Round 6:

Duro attacks Tio.
1st attack: 15
2nd attack: 20

Duro misses his first attack but hits with the second doing 9 h.p. of damage to her.

Posts Round 6 actions:

Tio dodges the first strike weaving past it but taking the second full on. She tries her best as she goes for a counter! She catches Duro square in the face as her fist connect, she then tries again but loosing her footing as she hasn’t recovered from Duro’s second attack.

Bob simply can't stand to see his friends being mauled by the horrific vampiric beast that once was innocent young Duro, so he holds out his hand to heal Tio.

He then once again casts Chill Touch on Duro.

Gillain shuffles her feet to get into a stronger stance, now that Duro’s attention is elsewhere. And she attacks again…

Thinking of the past, a single tear falls from the eladrin's face as she slowly retrieves an arrow and knocks it. She shoots an arrow at Duro and apologizes internally.

Duro swings at Tio, hitting her once. 

Gimble casts his spell. 
Duro's saving throw: 7
Frost fails to form across Duro's body. 

Ban fires another arrow at the vampire. Her aim is true and it strikes the vampire in the side. Duro winces and clutches his injured side.

As the vampire is falling to the ground Tio strikes it in the head as it falls.

Combat has ended, the vampire is down. 

Party actions/reactions?

Even after Duro goes down, Gillain still makes her two furious strikes, at the space where he had been stood, the glowing spear tearing through thin air, hitting nothing, with a faint whoosh-whoosh sound…

With that, she staggers forward, and almost falls over Duro, but manages to fall to one knee instead, as if she’s praying over his body. She is not though. She is spent….

She’s exhausted and bloody, and barely able to balance even down on one knee. Her magic and the light from her spear fades. It’s tip still smouldering with the last vestiges of radiant energy before going out entirely.

She holds that position, just breathing heavily. Staring out at nothing. Nothing else matters. The fight is over. Staying still is as good as resting now. She just stays on one knee, and concentrates on staying still. That’s all for now… She has no energy for anything else for a short while.

Gimble:

As the vampire finally falls, Gimble lets out a small sigh of relief, then another melancholy one of sadness.  Surveying the devastation—priest and soon dead, temple desecrated, and his allies exhausted—Gimble glances at the others with concern.

Still, he is resilient, and soon enough he is helping to clean up the mess and return some semblance of order to the church.
