As Aer goes for the zombies still in the carriage Hrothgar pulls out his sword with his right hand and moves towards the zombie already stumbling out of the carriage.
Foul creatures! he says as he draws back his sword as he moves and when he is close enough stretches his arm out forward jabbing his sword forward aiming for the zombie.
Retracting his sword back he spins his body to the right positioning his shield in front of him at first then spinning further moving it to his right side and stepping forward once more to slam the zombie with his shield Hrrngputting his body weight into the hit trying to knock it down.
Movement: Getting into melee range of the zombie stumbling out of the carriage (10ft?) Action: Sword Attack: 7 Damage: 9 Bonus action: Shield master Shove Hrothgar Athletics 25 vs Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) of the zombie. FYI wont use this every turn since that would become boring but every now and then.

Irzhalin, seeing Gar and Hrothgar taking care of the zombie closest to their own carriage, nimbly makes his way to the two next to Aer and will choose one to attack, firstly stabbing it with his spear and turning around to elbow it in the face.
Attack: Spear - to hit: 9 dealing 6 Piercing damage.
The zombie that was feasting on the corpses in the carriage gets decimated by Hrothgar's and Gar's tandem offense. The zombie gets shoved to the ground, and appears to be dead.
Zombie's Constitution Saving Throw: 21
Aer and Irzhalin both assault one of the emerging zombies from the carriage. The zombie gets obliterated by the two, and it body crumbles to the ground motionless as far as they can see.
Zombie's Constitution Saving Throw: 10
The zombie crawls out of the carriage, and goes to viciously maul Irzhalin.
Zombie's melee attack on Irzhalin Attack: 16 Damage: 5
The zombie that was attacked by Irzhalin and Aer is dead, while the zombie attacked by Hrothgar and Gar regains conciousness and expends half of its movement speed to stand back up. It now attacks Hrothgar.

Using his shield Hrothgar blocks the zombie's blow taking a step back as the creature did not seem to stay dead.
He then lunges forward again raising his sword hand into the air and brings it down in a diagonal motion to slash the zombie from top right to bottom left.
Hrothgar slices into the zombie and the zombie crumbles to the ground once more, appearing to be slain. Will it remain that way?

Irzhalin calmly cleans his spear and fists from the remnants of the zombies before taking a look around the wreckage, attempting to find anything of value or anything which might indicate the identities of the deceased travelers.

Seeing the zombies no longer get back up Hrothgar sheaths his sword. Is everyone alright? he asks
He kneels next to the one he just struck down and pokes and prods the zombie. Hrothgar will do the same with the others. He takes care to wipe of his fingers afterwards.
Gathering what he has seen Hrothgar will try to determine how long ago the zombies might of turned and perhaps more importantly if there is one that might of been turned longer. This could indicate how long ago the carriage was attacked and perhaps tell him if one of these zombies started this scene or if it was an outside source.
Irzhalin inspects the carriage, and can deduce that this was a shipment on its way to Helm's Hold. It seems they have an abundance of medical supplies and rations. Irzhalin is able to find an assortment of Healer's kit and several tenday's worth of rations (1 day).
Hrothgar isn't quite able to discern the longevity of their undeath, although he may assume the two corpses emerged from the carriage are quite recent.
Irzhalin returns from the wreckage to speak to Lanniver and Anika. "These people were on their way to Helm's Hold. There are goods in the wreckage. Would you know of them, by any chance?"
Looking around, he remarks that zombies in such a far out place as this could mean more danger ahead.
Anika shakes her head, not having a clue. Lanniver looks worried. "I fear that Helm's Hold is low on supplies, and this shipment was meant to aid them. Perhaps this wild attack wasn't so wild." Lanniver says, as he thinks that perhaps this zombie may had been lead here. "Find anything else?" Lanniver asks those still investigating.
Hrothgar moves back towards Lanniver still wiping of his hands since they simply do not feel clean yet. I believe this one, he points to the one that was eating the others. was turned longer than the two inside the carriage. It could be the source of this attack.
He looks back over to the carriage. How a single zombie got here i do not know.
Irzhalin holds up a sample of the rations and the medicinal kit in his possession. "These were likely meant for someone. I'm not sure if it is feasible to return this broken cart. I suggest we take the rations we have and proceed on our way, and notify whoever was meant to receive this delivery."

Perhaps we should take the medical kit as well. Im sure it will be of use by the looks of it. Hrothgar says
(if Irzhalin doesnt want it Hrothgar will take it)
While the others are still out Hrothgar will move towards the carriage. Lets get this out of the way.
He leans in with a shoulder against the carriage. Placing his feet firmly in the ground he tries to push it of the road to clear the way. Hoping the wheels arent dug into the soil.
