"Thanks for the suggestion! Going right there now. Anyone wants to keep me company or want me to buy anything?"
Salvador goes to the general store, to buy a map of the region, a map case, a signal whistle, a pouch, some sticks of coloured chalk(10 units), a quiver for the arrows, and some adventurer clothes, something with a cape and a hood and a nice hat with a bird feather. This shopping spree puts a smile on Salvador's face.
Leomyar accompanies Salvador and he buys a shield for (10gp), a whetstone for (1cp), horn for (3gp), chain for (5gp), grappling hook (2gp), Flask of water (2cp), hooded lantern (5gp), Mirror for reflection and the that could be useful as a distraction or to blind an enemy with sunlight so (5sp), pot of iron (2gp), Spear (1gp), Net (1gp), fishing tackle (1cp), fishing rod (4cp) and bait (5cp), plus two tents (20gp) All of which were useful items that could help benefit the group, some people might have to carry this but hey least we can eat, plus have an extra weapon as well as shelter and he’ll be taking this money out of the tavern. Someone buy some blankets so we can be warm at night.
(Well he was a mercenary and then a gladiator and now the head barkeep of a tavern so he’s wealthy, it’s really just a big nest egg he’s been keeping over the years)
”Well I have a long career and wore a few different hats in my time.” He tells Salvador “This is all just life savings really”
Leomyar takes out the correct amount and puts it down in front of Barthen the younger “Please that’ll be most helpful willow.” He says gratefully and pauses for a moment in thought “perhaps we should think of horses? Otherwise he might be to tired to fight if one comes up on our trek.”
“How much does a horse fetch nowadays do you reckon?” Leomyar asks in thought because he wants the group well taken care of and is happy to watch over everyone.
Marva carefully counts her small amount of coin, then buys a set of traveler's clothes. "I'm afraid I haven't got enough to help with buying a mount or pack animal of any kind. I'll buy one more tent and I can help carry some things." She goes to change her clothes, then returns and picks up two tents and figures out a way to strap them to her backpback.
(OOC: It looks like a riding horse is 75gp, draft horse 50gp, and mule 8 gp. Saddlebags are another 4gp, cart 15gp. All seems too much for level 1 characters' funds.)
Leomyar sighs in defeat “looks like we’re walking, perhaps we can ask the dwarves for a couple of steeds?” he suggests as he starts loading the equipment into his backpack, his sheer strength can carry quiet the weight.
Looking at his companions and raising an eyebrow at the large amount of supplies Leomyar had brought Panvalor let out a long echoing sigh as he realised they would be walking "well shall we be off? if we're lucky we may find some horses or something along the way.." he said as he lifted his own backpack and joined the others.
DM- Two prospectors and business partners were exploring these ruins. Beyond the ruins is an old temple buried by an avalanche. Some of the priests were killed, and others were turned into jellies and oozes.
Arrival: The canyon’s rocky walls rise to a height of 80 feet. At the end of the canyon, a 20-foot high wall of black stone has a broken gate carved into it, with one stone door hanging precariously by a hinge and the other door is missing. Beyond this open gate, in the shadow of a great mountain to the east, lies a ruined settlement. All is quiet.

Marva scans the walls of the canyon, looking for anything threatening, before approaching the broken gate. "This makes me a little nervous. Look out for any danger, friends."
Leomyar stares at the gates and tries to determine the best entry points, no doubt the dwarves would be inside and it is imperative that they find the safest route, so he’s not looking at the gate he’s looking at the path.

Panvalor stared at the ruined gate and tall black walls with a slight frown "Well this isn't ominous at all." he stated sarcastically as he analysed the area for threats while adjusting his backpack as he gently tapped the hilt of his rapier.
“Do you think we should knock?” Leomyar says joking as he joins in with Panvalor, two paths lay ahead one obviously looks clearer but the path might be a 50/50 risk considering the elements and other has a gate that’s blocking it’s path but is probably safer since it’s shrouded and you can’t see the other side of the gate
