"We have to pay the toll," Morn says. "It seems to understand us just fine." Morn stands resolutely, pointing towards the creature as he casts true strike in preparation for various possibilities. "No toll," he says firmly, "But perhaps you guide us and gain much more payment than we have now?"
"inform him that we seek a man who sought wealth in these parts, wealth to fill 100 toll-sacks. if he assists us, he can be assured a part of the hoard as toll for passage."

"He doesn't seem interested in the promise of more pay," Morn grimaces at the creature, "And while there aren't many more that we can see here, I'm not of mind to just hand over my things to any bandits that comes my way. Hope you're all ready." He gives the others a smile, then flicks his dagger across the short distance at the frog man.
Dagger (thrown) Attack: 19 Damage: 5 (rolled advantage from True Strike, but if not, then I can reroll if needed.)

Morn's Initiative: 8
(OOC - it's what Morn would do. As a travelling merchant, he would have many encounters with bandits and so not take kindly to having someone try to take from him. Besides, he offered the opportunity for the frog man to be their guide and get more than what they had to offer. It refused.)
Trinjya does not like the fact that the fight starts without her knowing where the rest of those creatures is (she is convinced that there are more around) but she did anyways not intend to let her self be robbed.
((Yoshiguy hasn't posted to the forum in 5 days, so I'll roll for Sirq, 6. Give them a bit of time, hopefully they are around and can jump in, otherwise Sirq will spam cantrips unless a slotted spell is needed (eg, healing).))
Samael sees Morn's hand going for a dagger, and calls out some insults at the frog-man. WIS Save: 8
It seems furious.
"Grib-roak, grib!"
Morn:
"Ugh, your heathen babbling makes no sense, but hurts my feelings all the same!"
Trinjya sees Morn and Samael attack the frog creature and decides that she is not needed to take care of it. She will draw her rapier and turn her attention to the swamp opposit to where the creature is, aticipating an attack from it's hidden companions. She will prepare to dodge (as her action) any attack directed at her.
Horatio hisses at the prospect of further risk to life and limb, but extends his hand towards the frog-man. A shadowy, spindly figure materializes directly behind it, attempting to impale the creature with a vicious-looking barbed tail!
Attack for Horatio's familiar (From invis - advantage? see second d20 for advantage result): 21 Damage: 4 + 11 poison damage. Con save vs DC11, halved poison damage on success. Second attack roll if at advantage: 15

As Horatio's familiar impales the frog man, Morn performs a quick arcane gesture and says "Pruina" as he casts Frostbite on the creature (CON Save DC 13 - 6 cold damage and disadvantage with next weapon attack on a fail).
As the barbed tail sinks in, the frog-man gives a gurgling croak, begins bleeding from its eyes, collapses, its body spasming and splashing in the water.
((Morn, let's say you hold that action, as the frog-man is dead, and release it at the first of their friends that pops out?))

"Grib-roak! Grib-roak!"
They gesture emphatically at the sack with their spear.
Morn:
"Quit babbling your dry-lander gibberish and fill the sack! Toll must be paid! Ugh, just watching your mouth stones move up and down makes me sick!"

Trinjya looks at the frog person with some curiosity.
"I don't think a lone creature of that size would be bold enough to try mug a well armed group like us. I bet there are more of them around. "
They waggle the spear threateningly, and jab it at the sack.
"GRIB-ROAK!"
