When Jen was little, her grandmother always seemed happy whenever she mentioned Misha in the stories she told, how she was her closest friend and how she'd likely be dead if it wasn't for her bravery. But her grandmother would grow sad when she talked about how Misha could never stay when her adventures were over and she did not want to talk about the last time they parted. Even as Jen grew older and she got more details out of her, she never talked about that particular part, as it was too painful. And now Jen had a decent idea as to why.
"Oh. I'm sorry if I touched upon a rough spot when I asked you that. I didn't mean to."

As the kobold approaches from the shadows he steps on a piece of broken glass just as he moves to slip his tiny hand into the mans coat pocket. The man glances from his mug towards the kobold. "S'cuse me! Can I help you!?" He says glaring towards the kobold. You notice his hand start to move towards a dagger on his hip while some of the other patrons turn to see what is going on.
Misha looked to Jen briefly as they walked. "I would not say ees rough spot, no. Quite zeh oppeeseeit. Spot full of warm, good memorees." she reassured her. After a moment, she elaborated. "Once, I belonged to a world whom I loved, and loved me in return. During thet time, I was very fortunate to travel to places where I hed opportuneetee to meet peeple like your grandmother. Then, a powerful god gave me a choice, and I took eet, gledly. I hed to pay a price - nothing ees free, but look at thees now - you and I. I am talking to zeh granddaughter of one of the most amazing people I hef ever known. Truly, I em very lucky to be alive again. I would hef geeven my life for her een an eenstant. She and I hed an understanding."
"My only sedness ees that I deed not hef chence to say goodbye. You hef no idea how hard eet was to say farewell each time we met again. Then, when time came to say goodbye for last time..? Well. Ees a great miracle to know she hed family. I mees her every day."
Misha cleared her throat, as if a well of emotions choked her, and she did her best to play it off.
"She missed you too. She said that you were the best friend she ever had and that she would have died if it wasn't for you." She says, as Misha reflects on her experiences"But I'm glad that you had such a grand life. It sounds like you have a lot of stories."
Misha smiled and nodded to herself. She wrapped an arm around Jen's shoulder and rested her head against hers for a moment as they walked. For a moment, Misha wished she was back in that time, but now was the opportunity for new friends. As long as she lived, she wouldn't forget the old ones.
Jorah looks up at the man, pleasant surprise on his face as he gives a toothy grin, "Oh? Smart of you to help me, yes. I would like that paper you were writing on. I am Jorah the Dragon."
Alexa gives Misha a small smile as the young woman talks about sacrifice, then frowns faintly and makes her way over to where Jorah and the man are...talking. "Excuse me," she says calmly. "There is no call for either names or threats."
"A moment please." Jen says to Misha before she heads back to the tavern. "Are you going to come with us or are you going to squabble with the people here all day?"

Marla beckons Alexa and Jorah over. ‘I’m sorry, I may have been a little quick off the mark there. I’m still a little jumpy at the moment, given I’ve already had footpads hired to kill me this month.’
"Go on! Get!" The man says as he waves away the kobold before taking another drink from his mug. Some of the other patrons snicker a little as the go back to drinking from their mugs.
Misha, nodding to Jen as she leaves to go back inside again, takes a peek as well inside from the outside, wondering what is going on. She looks at her nonexistant watch on her left wrist, and returns to wait patiently outside.
Alexa glances at Jorah. "I believe the best course would be to leave him alone," she says calmly. "Now, shall we return to our prior activity? Time is...rather of the essence."
Jorah gives another pout, put nods and follows Alexa. He cares not for the laughs, he was used to them, plus, it wouldn't do for a Dragon to get upset at every snide remark or failing.
Marla heads out of the door once she sees Alexa and Jorah leaving.
Shade swoops down to let her know if they were followed to the inn (were we?), and then flies up to give them an overwatch again, in case anyone tries to ambush them..
