Sildar frowns accepting the letter and reads it slowly, his frown turning quickly to anger. “He must pay for this!” He looks back to the group. “Please, if you find him, he must face judgement in Neverwinter. Please bring him back! Hopefully he’s still somewhere in the region but he likely knows he’s been found out. I came also to let you know that the Lords alliance has granted additional funds and we can reward you 500g to find the castle and defeat or drive off the chieftain.”
Velshir tries to summarize all the potential quests and directions the party can go:
+old owl well
+banshee trouble (not far?)
+orc trouble to the east
+might encounter a goblin patrol doing any of these
+need to find location of Cragmaw Castle
+more?
Velshir agrees with Prentiss that dealing with the orcs may be a good idea for now while they’re not yet sure how to find Cragmaw castle or their kidnapped dwarven friend, or their escaped enemy Iarno.
Sheyla agrees, "I think a banshee may beyond our capabilities yet. Pay from taking out Orcs and goblins, may prove useful in getting what's needed to better tackle that."

Garaele desires an intermediary to bring Agatha a suitable gift, a jeweled silver comb, and persuade the creature to tell what she knows about the location of a spellbook belonging to a legendary mage named Bowgentle. Sister Garaele believes that a character who flatters Agatha’s vanity might be able to trade the comb for an answer. The comb is provided by Garaele / Shrine of luck for this mission.
+orc trouble to the east -
Quest: Orc Trouble. Harbin is looking for someone to head east on the Triboar Trail, where travelers have reported trouble with a band of orcs near Wyvern Tor. He offers 100 gp to any group that can take care of the problem.
"Well, wizards are funny folk. This is well known. Maybe he just asked his coat and staff to follow him. I tried the same with a rat, yesterday. Didn't work out. Well, seems to me like we should think about things like what can wait, and what can't. Seems to me like orcs and goblin patrols are a pretty big problem, and even if we just prune back a few of them, it'll still buy the people here time to prepare for whatever comes next. The banshee's book could be useful too, but only to someone who can use it. Still, though, if the orcs are in the east, perhaps we can try to make a loop of it? If I've read the map correctly, we can cut through the badlands at the base of the mountains there, and up towards the well that way. Like as not we'll see signs of a patrol, and we can detour appropriately. In the same way, we can keep an eye out for Slinky-Mcglasstaff over there, and see if his goblin buddies can give us a lead on where to pick him up for a court date."
Prentiss nods thoughtfully and shakes a finger in absent agreement as Loren speaks "Yes, sounds like a good plan". He stops for a second, then cracks a smile and laughs a little as he echoes the halfling, "Slinky McGlasstaff..."
With this Sildar looks about at the group, "You're fine folk and doin good for this town. I'll bid ye good evening and let you enjoy your meal. I'll be at the Townmaster's Hall should you need me." He rises from the table, passes Toblen a coin as he leaves and an pat to his arm and strides from the Inn leaving to group to dine.
Prentiss stays in the inn's common area a little longer, hoping to put off the inevitable for a short while with one more drink. Eventually he relents, knowing that a day's travel - and possibly combat - without sleep would be considerably more dangerous than anything that his own imagination can throw at him in his dreams.
Although he experiences another troubled sleep, this is not unusual for the last few years. At least he does not awaken within a frozen cocoon like last time, and he ponders the meaning of this before calming his thoughts with a reading of his favourite sonnet.
Refreshed, he heads downstairs to meet his companions and determined to leave the world a better place at dusk than it was at dawn.
After much rest and an early morning to get her hair and clothing situated, Shayla makes her was to the common room. "Good morning good sir, good morning Prentiss. Is breakfast available before we make our way?"
Loren descends, wearing a new set of halfling-sized dark leather armor, studded with small scales of faintly sheening metal and a built in half-cape at the back. After showing off his gift from Quelline, he tucks in to a piece of fruit as Shayla comes down, nodding and gesturing at the foodstuffs provided.
"So, hiking up towards the mountains today, yeah - looking out for patrols and heading to the well?"
Velshir enjoys the simple breakfast of fruit and fresh bread. He sits thoughtfully as he munches on the food. He watches the others in his group make small talk but has no particular interest in joining in. He is content.
Prentiss tucks in hungrily and raises a mug appreciatively to Toblen. "This is fine fare indeed sir, your hospitality is humbling". To Loren he responds "Aye, a nice hike and maybe some good deeds into the bargain. I'm intrigued to see more ideas from the mind that brought us the bugbear-bridge-lasso combination".
His mood markedly brighter today, Prentiss engages in chat but respects Velshir's obvious preference for space. He is also keen to pay respect to Shayla's obvious nobility, and probably does so awkwardly as a rural man of 20. At times he scratches self-consciously at the visible patches of scales on his hands and face.
Joshua finally makes his way downstairs. he looks as though rest dissent come easily to him. "Good morning everyone, do we have coffee available?" He sits and takes a bit of the bread that's available.

Velshir has no further business and recommends the group get some rest and begin early tomorrow, heading East looking for orcish trouble-makers.
"Agreed, sleep well everyone." Joshua will head up to bed.
Your evening will pass otherwise uneventful.
@Sheyla - may have missed saying but laundry services are easily handled and your clothes are fresh and cleaned, ready for you.
