Both of the remaining watches pass with little disturbance. Woodland creatures passing a little too close, but scampering off seeing the fire. The sun rises with a cloudy sky and gentle rain.
The rain lands on Prentiss's clothes and settles at first, but soon soaks in. He doesn't even try to avoid it, tries to enjoy the coolness against his scales. He packs up his bedroll and prepares to head out, addressing the rest of the party before they leave: "It's a lovely day, eh? A nice walk ahead of us to reach Thundertree and mark off another good deed for the people of this region"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kallen nods at her half-elf acquaintance about her deity and continue to follow the rest of the gang, doing whatever task they ask her to do.

"It is Prentiss!" Kallen smiled at the young man then turning her attention to the group "So do you guys have any ghost stories to tell? I've heard it's tradition to tell scary stories to newly acquaint adventurers, I could start!" Kallen suggest the idea of telling a story.
Prentiss gives a sad smile at Kallen's suggestion and says "I'm...not a fan of telling ghost stories, I'm more of a poetry man". He waves a small leather-bound book as if proving his point.
After a moment of awkward silence though, he resolves to encourage this act of unity from Kallen: "But I Would like to hear yours, you seem like a good storyteller"
"Oooh are we telling ghost stories?!" Brencharis loudly says, before turning around to face Kallen and Prentiss, a wide smile on her face. "I love telling and hearing ghost stories. Do either of you know any fun ones or should I go first?" The young half-elf is clearly excited at being able to exchange stories with her new traveling companions.
You have several hours of travel north and slightly east to Thundertree ahead of you. A flicker of lightning in the distance towards the west over the distant coat and a faint scent of sea air hits your nostrils as the clouds briefly hide the sun darkening the sky for a short time. The wind is tolerable though and the ground still easy to travel as you discuss the stories to tell.
Please share you marching order as you travel and feel free to entertain one another with stories.
Cal Pol is happy to be at the fronT or just behind. he shares a story he heard once about the man who murdered his family.
”He was in a team of adventurers who were confronted by a Dragon Turtle, a band of innocent Cultists and a Naga. They murdered all the innocent civilians with hammers and wind spells while the Barabarian looked on laughing. The man is a monster, whilst his friends killed everyone he was laughing and joking while taking a ride on the Dragon Turtle like it was a fairground ride.
every look of joy leaves his faces and all you can see is anger and hatred. You get a sense that vengeance is all he knows now.
"What a way to ruin the mood Poepoe, ghost stories was supposes to be fun not one of your brooding expression on vengeances!" Kallen seems to be annoyed at Cal Poe's stories about vengeances and being all angry, she was expecting something light.
"I guess i have to fix this story huh!" Kallen tells a story about a rich couple from Phandalin somewhere around the area in a scary mansion, owning a few estates and she talks about them not inviting a old lady that caught by the storm and cursed their whole generation with some sort of cursed and haunts the area and destroying a nearby town that was used to called thunder tree. Making everything up on the fly, trying to make this journey for interesting for the group.
Prentiss maintains a neutral expression during Cal's story, wondering how much is fairy tale and how much is delusion. "It's entertaining enough, but...lacking ghosts"
As Kallen tries to bring the conversation back on track, Prentiss finds her story to be more of what he was expecting: "That was pretty good, reminds me of one from my home town..erm..."
He seems to lose his confidence for a moment, then swallows and carries on: "Did you hear about the white, er red dragon of Fillion? It terrorised the town with fire and fear, until one day the townsfolk gathered all their money and valuables, and hired a brave group of adventurers to save them from their oppressor. The adventurers fought hard and although some of them perished, they vanquished the mighty dragon. As it fell, the beast uttered a bloodline curse, dooming the children of Fillion to bear its mark.
That year, all children were born in the town with strange afflictions; scales, dragon eyes, claws...marks of the dragon. The people tried to shelter and love their children, but the curse ran even deeper...as they started to grow, so much faster than they should, the children also showed rage; flight - and deadly breath of fire....
The ashes of Fillion cover the bodies of the townfolk today, the dragon's curse complete. But rumours abound that some of the dragonmarked children still wander Faerun, hiding their curse until someone says - or does - the wrong thing... and they ATTACK!"
Prentiss shines a beam of light into the eyes of everyone watching and listening, giving his best "MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!"
“Sorry guys, I thought you meant Ghosts of your past that wake you up in the middle of the night screaming and crying.” His eyes start to water a little.
As you walk and listen to Prentiss you hear an odd noise behind you but can't place it, a small squishy sound. Then he flashes the light reflecting his silvery scales and as he turns around he spots two things low in the grass behind you. They aren't moving particularly fast but now that you've stopped momentarily they are gaining. You see a bone sticking up from the top of each, but can't make out the rest of the creatures crawling like spiders low to the ground.
You see several things stirring in the ground farther to your left about 30 feet away untangling from the brush and grass that has grown up around them. 6 skeletons rise out of the grass to add some flair to the ghost story telling theme. As they rise, you notice that these are not human skeletons though. They stand nearly a foot taller and have a porcine shaped head.
20 initiative roll Cal Pol casts Protection from good and evil on who ever is closest to him as he touch’s them on the shoulder and winks, “ You got this Bro” he shouts confidently.
Until the spell ends, one willing creature you touch is protected against certain types of creatures: aberrations, celestials, elementals, fey, fiends, and undead.
The protection grants several benefits. Creatures of those types have disadvantage on attack rolls against the target. The target also can't be charmed, frightened, or possessed by them. If the target is already charmed, frightened, or possessed by such a creature, the target has advantage on any new saving throw against the relevant effect.

We are telling ghost stories as we walk towards Thundertree in the rain, correct?
Velshir Will listen, and even contribute if given a chance
