If Balgrim is MIA, what should we do going forward? - Single Choice
Shall we seek a 6th party member? - Single Choice
(I assumed Leon has arrived at the tailor's and used some of the party's funds to buy clothes?)
Leon feels bashful about using his companions' coin to clothes himself. When he arrives at the tailor's, he simply makes a request for modest and simple, yet hardy clothing. He will choose out a rough spun smock, leggings, and a boots, and will opt to purchase a warm cloak if any money is left.

(As for the current fashions, every city, due to the hazards of traveling, has kind of its own flavor. Some are more advanced with magic than others, while some rely less on magic and more on the natural sciences. Guiston, however, is early Victorian for fashions, give or take some low-key elements of steampunk. No wearable cogs or brass fittings, but not medieval, either. The buttons on clothes, for instance, aren't hand made, they're manufactured. Magic has taken the place of machinery in some areas where advancements are as far along as late-industrial-revolution while others have stagnated. The uniform of the regular military in Guiston doesn't feature any plated body armour, but rather long red coats similar to those worn in the 1800's, only with helmets and tower shields with notches in them to support muskets or pikes on.)

Aelar strides out the tailor's shop feeling so much better now that he has proper clothes again. It had been a tough decision but in the end he'd opted for sturdy, well made clothing, plain but comfortable. The brown trousers and dark green shirt matched well, and the thick cloak, in the same dark green, should help keep him warm. And the boots...those were the best of all. Maybe he could work on his strength and stamina now.
Moving to Sister Daar, he says, "Well, what do you think? Am I presentable enough to be introduced to your friend about that thing?" He taps his chest, and the mark under it, meaningfully.

So, Lazlo is going to deck himself out color wise like a Rankin Bass Hobbit (Earth tones). A pale yellow button down shirt, a darker dull mustard (ish) colored vest (with a simple pattern if he could afford it) with pockets (so many pockets). He'll get some forest green pants cut high to allow for his hooves (they gotta have suspenders), and a matching thigh length coat. No tie, but definitely some kind of Tumnus style scarf as an homage (either matching or wildly clashing depending on what is available).
I realize this may be a but much and I have little concept of cost- so please feel free to alter this as you see fit!

Balgrim
Balgrim comes out of the tailor with an emerald green shirt, charcoal pants with black boots. Around his shoulders is a forest green cloak.

((Sure you can have pants, especially if you plan to fly anywhere! If you had to fly in a dress, you'd be giving every perv out there a free peep show. The fashions in Guiston are like early Victorian, not the culture))
Sister Daar claps her hands when she sees the group in their new clothes. "Excellent! Very tasteful. And..." she says, slithering over to Lazlo and straightening his scarf with a wry smile. "So very colourful! You should now be able to freely move about Guiston without suspicion. And I will certainly introduce you, young Aelar, but first I believe your friends have business in other parts of the town first. Once you know your way around, I do hope you all will be able to thrive here, at least after some hard work."
Kina laughs lightly and puts her hands on Leon and Kallista's shoulders.
"And I suppose after the business in Hon is taken care of, I'll be looking for work here as well with this lot. I've got some leads on that, should you need them." she says, and gives the party directions to Duncan's Ironworks, Kina's blacksmith (though to her, he's a cobbler) and Wild's Arborium, a herbalist's store who apparently has trouble keeping employees.
Sister Daar looks apologetically at Hyre as they begin making their way towards Hammerfall Hall, home of the Dwarven Hearth.
"I'm afraid that the library might be out of your reach unless you are experts at kowtowing to the elite of the city. The library is technically open to the public, but where it's located in Guiston, commoners who step out of line, even a hair, are escorted out by the 'caretakers', who are little better than hired goons and who do little more than whatever the rich and powerful tell them to, which largely involves tossing out anyone who offends them out of the district." she explains.
Barna folds her arms and looks off to one side.
"I already told you I know where to find instructional texts. I'm going to take you there once we're done here, Hyre." she says. One might not think that half-orcs even KNOW how to pout, but Barna is surely pouting over her offer being forgotten.

Kallista seems happier now that she's in sturdy pants, along with a simple tunic-style shirt, along with a coat. The colors are on the darker side, browns and forest greens. Her boots are leather and sturdy. She smiles, interest in the herbalist shop. "Wonder why they cant keep anyone?"

Leon scratches his head, thinking. If he was to be a warrior, he was going to need a sword. It might be best if he learned to make his own.
"Does anyone want to come with me to Duncan's Ironworks?"

"If it's anywhere near the Saloon, I'll tag along." Lazlo strains his ears to see if he can hear the sound of musicians or the good natured cheer that typically comes from a taproom. "Do you mind if we split up, Kina? Sister?" The Satyr looks around the new city, trying to orient himself in this wonderful new place. "Unless you think we'd get lost- I can TRY to be patient.... I think?" he says, scratching his tangled hair.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I totally forgot. Well, I'm fine with splitting. It seems each of us have different places we want to attend to? We can simply schedule to meet back at the farm when night falls."
Varielky
"The last time we split up, I missed all the larceny!" Lazlo laughs, with a nod to Hyre, Aelar and Barna.

OOC: I will post for Aelar later. At work now.
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
Aelar walks along quietly with his friends, following along as Sister Daar directs them to the various places they want to go. Raia, how are you feeling? He sends the thought quietly, not wishing to disturb the Dragon is she is resting again. We've returned her locket to Sister Daar. She said she will take me to someone who can help answer my questions.
A thought occurs to him, then. Moving to Hyre's side, he asks "Hyre, why are you so keen to find a library? What do you want to read about?"
He keeps an eye out for the anything but particularly for anyone who might be eyeing the Sister too closely. After he finishes conversing with Hyre, he moves back to the Sister and reminds her of his offer to help. "Would that be good? Is there something I can do to help at the mission?"
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
"Well, there are a couple of things I want to know. Maybe a library isn't the best place, but it's the only place I can think of". He answers, then adds: "Aside from wherever Barna will take me, of course." For a moment he hesitates, but eventually he continues: "More specifically, I wish to learn about the history of the Skell and about magic. 'Knowing your opponent is the key to victory', that's what my dad always said every time he beat me in a dragonchess game. I'm aware that knowing the enemy isn't everything, but I don't have any other ideas at the moment." He thinks for a moment and then finishes: "And besides, maybe I can find information about this egg." He says, presenting the stone egg forward.
Varielky
Aelar listens to his friend attentively. Clearly Hyre had given this much thought, more than he had himself. Not that he didn't want to get his family back, just that the process of achieving that goal hadn't really occurred to him.
"That's very wise of you, my friend. I hadn't thought of it like that. If you don't mind, will you share with me what you learn?"
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
"If I can, assuming that I learn something useful, I cannot see why not."
Varielky
Sister Daar looks surprised at Hyre, then a little saddened.
"I can understand why you're so eager to fight. Skell Hold was just a quiet isolationist colony for decades. They didn't trade with the rest of the major city states but they also didn't bother any of them. They just kept to themselves, uninterested in what the other colonies of Aden were doing. I don't know the particulars myself, but I have heard rumors that when official envoys attempted to make contact, they were given only the most basic of courtesies and sent away with no better understanding of their wants or aspirations." she explains.
"Now, Skell territory is marked with a literal shroud of darkness, as plumes of black smoke rise from behind their walls. Our kite scouts can't even get close to their holdings for fear of being shot out of the sky. Whatever happened to make them change from isolationist to expansionist, it was sudden and dramatic. It's why Guiston is so wary of newcomers. We're not as well-fortified as Wolfbane, and we're not that far from Hon. This... isn't how I know Guiston. It's why I started my Mission. Fear has made us cold towards our neighbors when we SHOULD be embracing our neighbors. We built walls to keep out animals, not each other." she says, sounding deeply saddened.

"Then, what you're saying is I shouldn't expect to find a lot of information about them? That's quite a disppointment, but I will still search. At the very least, I can hope to find answers to the other questions."
