Aelar nods, "I'm sorry but I want to try to get into Hawk's Nest, get to the library. Do you think she would be willing to help?"
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
Hana pipes up.
"She's got a good head on her shoulders, that one! Don't try and bring her into your schemes. You know what happened last time. You lot still owe me for digging you out of that mess!" she calls at the satyrs, who all look suddenly pretty embarrassed. THEM. EMBARRASSED.
"We hear you, Hana." Carmine says, then crosses her legs and folds her arms, pouting.
"Was just a thought." she mutters.
((OKAY! Timelines are all lined up again! No need for the Delorean!))
It's about then that Hyre finally pokes his head out of the kitchen. Hana must have had him cleaning up the dishes from the.... weird charcoal sculpture offering he made to the vengeful spirit of Ga'ordon Hah'amzey, and Lazlo makes his appearance in the saloon. The pair exchange words and Kallista sees she's no longer at the saloon alone.
One of Ashwa's ears twitches as she turns her head slightly when she hears Aelar suggest she can help. Her pace slows, but she tries to not make it LOOK like her pace has slowed as she tries to hear if maybe Leon needs her after all.

"...I appreciate you trying to help," Kallista says, "I just... think I've taken enough risks this week already. Did you hear about the trolls?"

The three satyrs shake their heads for a moment.
"Trolls? What trolls?" Carmine asks, her pupils dilating.
It seems the satyr trio have had some experience with trolls and just the mere thought that Kallista actually dealt with them is enough to shake them up some.
"You don't mean here in TOWN, right? Not here in TOWN?" Cameron says excitedly.
"I hope you killed the damn things!"
Carmine gets up and runs over to Lazlo when she sees him, rubbing her cheek against his.
"Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, ahh, that's better." she says, then kisses him on the cheek.
"Hi bae." she grins.

"Well... not deal with them," Kallista corrects herself, and explains what she helped Grimbuld with.

Carmen, once he learns what Kallista did, looks over at his brother. Once the two of them are over their shock, Carmen laughs nervously.
"Right, yes, definitely not worth your coin then on a gamble if that's what you did to get it in the first place. That is tits-up madness, that is! And you got through just fine. Had no idea we were sitting next to a deadeye." he says, patting her on the back with a laugh.
"Wait, Grimbuld? The terrifying man who walks around with a dead spider as a cape and cowl? He's your employer?" Cameron asks.
"Damn, Kalli! Save some balls for the rest of us!" Carmen laughs.

Lazlo returns Carmen's affection in kind, clearly enjoying her attention. "Am I glad to see you all! I'm beginning to think hard work has addled my brainpan. I was walking over here from the farm and I was struck with this horrible vision. I was walking and walking... and I never got any closer to the Saloon. It was this maddening purgatory of a trek that took forever... almost as if it took me eight days to get here." He shudders at the thought. "But nothing a pint couldn't cure, eh? Who's buying? Is Hyre done with his shift yet? We planned on paying a visit to his Sir Knight today." Lazlo sits down with his friends. "Kallista told you about the trolls? Nasty bastards with mean sharp pointy teeth!" he makes what he thinks is a horrible troll face, holding his fingers by his mouth to imitate fangs- and then recounts his version of what he assumes Kallista's fight with the trolls was like. It is larger than life, full of embellishments, and the stuff of legend. "And thats how, with one arrow she took down three trolls!"

((I do believe that we're all caught up now in the timeline so Hyre and Lazlo and Kallista can talk among themselves while Leon and Aelar finish up with their business, then Aelar can head to the library and the guys can head to see Geoffrey.
Does Kallista have any plans?))

"Indeed. Shall we go then?" Hyre asks even though Lazlo just sat down at the table. "I'm afraid that pint will have to wait for later. It's better to stop before you start saying 'just one more'." He wants to leave quickly before anyone can make a connection between him and the burnt smell still lingering around. Although, he's not sure how long the Satyrs have been there and worries they might just know exactly what happened.
(BTW, there are some good news. Due to all the stars lining up, I was given an inspiration to escape the cycle of 'freezing' I keep pushing Hyre into. FYI, that's not how I wanted to play him at the beginning and I was actively searching for a good way to get rid of it, at least to some extent, so that not all social interaction with him just turn into... that. You'll understand the next time something happens.)

"I'm not that great of a shot," Katernin says, embarrased by all the attention, "Mr. Grimbuld gave me something to help him... and I didnt kill any of them Lazlo..."
"Ya, I work for Mr. Grimbuld. He's teaching me a lot of stuff, and he's not as scary as I thought he was when I started. He cares about people in his own way, and likes to keep to himself."

Leon glances at Ashwa, and then back at Aelar. He raises an eyebrow.
"I see this is important to you, my friend. I suppose that you can ask her for access to the library."

Aelar smiles at his friend. “It is important...thanks. But I think you need to ask if she’ll help me. You’re the one she, um, likes as knows. I’m someone she just met. Will you ask her? I’m OK with whatever you decide.”
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
Lazlo looks at Hyre "One for the road? Ok, ok you're in a hurry. Let's at least wait for Leon- I'm sure he'll be here soon." Then turning to Kallista he says "Modesty is an impressive quality in a hero. Admirable!"

Carmine pouts adorably at Lazlo.
"You're leaving my side?! The loneliness! The shock!" she says dramatically, then promptly swoons into his arms. Tugging on his horns, she buries his face in her chest while she makes over-theatrical crying sounds, then abruptly stops.
"That's all right, just save some energy for tonight when I wrap my legs around your--"
Hana puts a mug down with a heavy 'THUNK'
"The sun's still up for goodness' sake! We have people trying to eat here." she scolds. Carmine darts out of Lazlo's lap and puts her hands behind herself innocently.
Cameron still makes a face though, thinking about the trolls.
"Well of course a bow wouldn't kill a troll... nothing DOES." he says, though the look on his face is more harrowed than anything.
"Enough about the trolls, I've already got enough goatbumps as it is. She made it back, is what matters... though if I were you, I'd punch him square in the face for asking me to do that as part of my job... then again, I don't have wings. Still though, in the nose." Carmen adds.

Ashwa rather unsuccessfully weaves her way back to Aelar and Leon, TRYING to make it look like she wasn't listening in on their conversation. It's really, really unconvincing, though, especially because of her proportions and sheer size, she bumps into the surrounding vendor booths along the street, knocking over vegetables, carved goods, apologizing as she goes. By the time she comically gets back to the smithy, she has a lot of eyes on her. As she backs up apologizing to the smithy's neighboring peddler, she turns and just about smacks Leon in the head with her bust. How in the world is SHE nobility if the Hawk's Nest is so exclusive?
Ashwa stands in front of Aelar and Leon, trying to maintain dignity.
"Umm, I couldn't help but overhear... is there something I could assist with?" she asks, trying to pretend everything that just happened didn't.

"Hana, why would the gods make something so perfect then hide it under a bushel?" Lazlo asks, smiling up at the centaur. "When we feel something so powerful, we should celebrate it. Um, maybe we have time for a quick celebration, Carrie?" he laughs. Then looking at Hyre he says "I know, I know. Pressing business and all. Carrie, I'm going to ask Sir Knight for any information he could give me about the bards who played for the cavaliers of old Guiston. Can you remember anything in particular that I should pick his brain about?"

Leon tries not to laugh as Ashwa approaches again. He shrugs and says, "My friend Aelar wants access to the Hawk's Nest library. Could that be something you could help with?"

Hyre thinks for a moment. He didn't want to sit idle but they did plan to go with Leon. "Ah, fine." He says as he sits down with the others. "We'll wait for Leon. Do what you want until he gets here. The moment he's back though, we'll leave. Hopefully it doesn't take too long." He then justs sits and stares at the middle of the table, thinking about something.

Aelar also tries to hide his amusement, instead giving the noblewoman what he hopes is a hopeful smile.
