Attack 3
Damage if hits 4
Btw way I don't know your exact hp totals unless you post, so I won't know to heal if you don't indicate your damage. I would have to drop Bless if I heal so I'd rather leave it up for a round or two more as it seems to be helping if you aren't critical.
You do not lose concentration by casting a non-concentration spell, Phade. You can absolutely use Healing Word or Cure Wounds without losing concentration on Bless.
Both attacks hit. Droogan looks his attacker in the eye. "You poke me? Let me show you how its done." He lashes out with his sword. Then Surges in and strikes again. As he pulls back from the second attack he focuses on the pain of his own wounds and it recedes.
First Attack: hits AC 20 for 8 slashing
Action Surge Attack: hits AC 10 for 10 slashing (targetting red move to green if red has fallen)
Bonus Action: Second Wind recovers 4 hit points (21/24)
After several rounds the finally falfall covered in slashes and wounds. FYI these guys used the thug Stat block which is quite a bit stronger than a bandit.
Keep the initiative in mind as there may be another (door dude) but until you attack him don't worry.
in the building you find that the bottom floor is filled by one room with a table to one side and a stairwell on the other.
I like to see creativity in combat, be that "i go for the eyes" or some complicated scheme using the environment. I like this a lot as it makes my job more fun and the story more interesting in my opinion. Vs: "I hit X". "X did/didn't die"
Presumably the stairwell is going up not down. The doorman is still hiding as the room is still dark, Yordis picks a small object and casts light on it to illuminate the room.
Yordis knows he is probably the least useful person to conduct an interrogation so waits for the others to decide whether they will go for persuasion or let Tilly loose on him, bit seeing as how Bowlder terrified him and then he saw his friends killed in about half a minute Yordis is fairly confident he will be easy enough to coerce.

Yordis's light reminds Bowlder that there is still another guy. To return to before we were so rudely interrupted by the 3 thugs, Bowlder wipes the blood/guts from his handaxes on the doorman's shirt, looks at Tilly, and calmly asks, "Those other three were bad men. Is this a bad man too?"

I think we can all agree there. However, I like the mechanics too. How did that last round go? Did Valentinus burn a spell? Did Droogan get both killing blows? The dice help tell the tale.
Droogan checks Red's pockets as he cleans and sheathes the sword. If these thugs have got anything useful they won't be needing it any longer? (Perception: 8+2=10)
([ roll]1d20+4[ /roll]+[ roll]1d4[ /roll]=[ roll][roll:-1]+[roll:-2][ /roll] if anyone wants to know how I rolled that. I thought it'd clarify the fumbles/crits)
please don't hurt me! I don't know anything I swear!
the men have a total of 32cp with them.
I think the best thing is a combination of mechanic and creativity. when doing something creative and the dice gods are against you it leads to more specular fails. Something to think about and work on as we go I guess.
"Well if you don't know anything what f@#$in' reason do we have to keep you around? Way I see it we came in here and disposed of four individuals who were giving us a hard time? Sound about right, Droogs?"
"How's about we start simple, where is the lady?"
In an ironic turn for a rogue/thief, I have not been tracking our funds. Has someone else kept a count? Not that I want a shopping spree or anything but eventually some armor with a point or two bump in AC wouldn't hurt Tilly's chances in the fray.

"Let's not waste time, where is the woman? What will we find upstairs? All of it, don't hold back. As I'm sure you can see my friends here are capable of making your last moments extremely painful, so please don't lie to us, hide things, while we are at it, are there any valuable items here?"
Bowlder targets Green's word-hole with two handaxe chops (including the Bless). (Tilly has already gone, so Yordis and Droogan are up.)

Is 8 with the crit double? On mobile so I can’t see the pop up. Would hate to miss out on that damage.
If both bad guys are still up:
Valentinus plucks the strings on his violin and, with a few muttered Elvish words, casts bane on the remaining bad guys. Charisma save, DC 13.
If only one is still standing, Valentinus stabs him with the rapier. Attack 9, damage 10 piercing.

Ah, nuts. Was hoping Doogan was gonna drive that sword all the way to the floor.
Thanks for the correction on concentration spells, if the dm is ok with it then the following could be added on to my turn as a bonus action
Yordis sees Tilly struck by her adversary. Summoning his healing magic he casts healing word for 10

Tilly paces. Cracks her neck and knuckles. She’s ranked up from the healing and more than a little peeved at taking two hits.
“I don’t know, B. Thinking we need to do a blood test.” She kneels down to have him what’ll it be? One of the biggies or me? Which do you want pal?”

I don't who your talking about! I have never been in the lower levels of the complex. All I know is upstairs is a store room.
