I'll be hitting the bugbear and shaman goblin with Burning Hands as soon as I can get them within 15', and then moving over to Bess's area, taking a defensive stance and readying an Eldritch Blast for the next round...

(The party readies themselves, open the door and rushes in! The Goblins are surprised!)

"What the..."

(Lena casts Faerie Fire on the Shaman and Bugbear!)

Bugbear Dex Save: 4

Shaman Dex Save: 8

(The Bugbear and Shaman start glowing like a glitterbomb went off on them, surrounding them with a dim light.)

Spoiler for Lena:

(Right after the party bursts into the room, you all hear some yelling coming from back the way you came. A pair of Goblins (a patrol that you all missed) is on the other side of the bridge, sees you all, and starts running to join the fight! They won't make it until the end of the first regular round.)

 Gerard, yes, the Guidance spell changes your Initiative to an 8.

Damage for Burning Hands (in the future, would you prefer I (A) roll once and they each take that amount? or (B) individually and they each take a different amount?)

Seeing the Bugbear and Shaman lit up, Lorys shoots an arrow at the Bugbear.

Attack: 23 Damage: 12

(OOC: Just to let you all know its been snowing really heavy over here and we've even lost a couple tree limbs. My neighbor's tree is dangerously close to knocking down a power line should it fall. I just wanted you guys to know in case I lose power at some point and don't post for a couple of days. Have a nice night everyone.)

OOC: Everybody stay safe out there.

(Lorys turns into a total badass, let's out a mighty battle cry and shoots the Bugbear right in the chest! The Bugbear bellows in pain as blood starts pouring out of the wound. It doesn't seem to have hit his heart, but who knows what vital organs it may have damaged.)

Carxus, you're up.

DM's notes: Thanks for remembering to give your roll advantage. Remember all, if you go for the Shaman or the Bugbear, roll with Advantage. 

OOC: Shy, hope everything works out, man, stay safe! 

Carxus unleashes his 3 dart Magic Missile at the Shaman.

Damage: 4 per dart.

(The Shaman is trying his best to keep the ritual going, but Carxus' Magic Missile comes flying with deadly precision, and all 3 darts hit him square in the chest, knocking him back. He twitches slightly before not moving anymore.)

"Nooooooo! My ritual! You'll pay for that!" screams the Bugbear.

(Nikta joins the fray, casting Burning Hands at the Bugbear, who tries to take cover from the makeshift altar.)

Dex Saving Throw: 19

(The bugbear manages to avoid the brunt of the spell damage, but his hair is singed and it did hurt him a bit.) 

Gerard, you're up.

(Gerard hurriedly throws his crossbow at the group of Goblins but it goes wild and misses them by a few feet. He takes out his Rapier and rushes at the Bugbear, slashing it in the gut! The blood is really pouring and the Bugbear looks in really bad shape!

During all of this, the Goblin patrol is dashing to help their friends, coming up behind you and is halfway across the bridge, right near where the disabled trap is.)

Lorys, you're up if you're hopefully safe and around.

DMs note: Damn, you guys are shredding my big bad here. LOL

Lorys turns and fires an arrow at one of the two goblins on the bridge.

Attack: 14 Damage: 7

OOC: thanks for the concern. I'm fine. the weather here is so mild it can barely be considered canada :)

(Lorys decides to fire at one of the Goblins running across the stone bridge. Her arrow digs into the left shoulder of one of them. The Goblin lets out a small yelp but tries to shake it off and keep going.)

Carxus is up

Carxus turns to the Bugbear. “I hate the smell of burning fur...but here goes...” He cast Fire Bolt at the Bugbear. 

Attack: 18 Damage: 1

(Carxus throws a Fire Bolt at the Bugbear, who once again ducks under the altar. The fireball singes the hair on the top of the Bugbear's head. The bugbear puts out the smoldering remnants of his hair.)

Gerard is up

(Gerard is in close quarter combat with the Bugbear, who is snarling and preparing his Warhammer. With a laser-like precision, Gerard takes his rapier, angles deftly...

AND CUTS THE BUGBEAR'S HEAD OFF WITH ONE STROKE!

The Goblins gasp as their leader's head goes flying off, floating in the air for a moment as if in slow motion, before landing and rolling on the ground for a few feet. The goblins are agitated, realizing they're in trouble.)

"The fighter!" yells out one of the Goblins. "Get the fighter or we're dead!"

The 3 Goblins take their Shortbows and take their best shot at Gerard.)

Goblin 1: Attack: 8 Damage: 6

Goblin 2: Attack: 15 Damage: 7

Goblin 3: Attack: 7 Damage: 7

 (Gerard turns to face the Goblins... and is struck by an arrow right in the shoulder! The 2 other arrows miss, one clanging on the altar and the other clanging off of Gerard's shield.)

The Goblin Patrol is now coming across the bridge and joining the fight! One of the Goblins shoots at Lena and the other takes a shot at Lorys!

Goblin 1 on Lena: Attack: 22 Damage: 8

Goblin 2 on Lorys: Attack: 12 Damage: 3

The Lorys and Lena are both able to deflect the arrows successfully! 

Lena, you're up!
