Seeing his friend finally snap out of the fear, Chan smiles and again sends a sacred flame from his shield towards the undead. “The tide turns.” He thinks to himself.

Gogon smiled, now getting a little cocky. "I think it's time we put you to bed!" he quipped as he swung his spear at the apparition, flowing smoothly into a spinning back kick.

The spirits is bombarded by another wave of attacks and is still frustrated that she is unable to make contact with Gogon. Now Yuno also manages to shake off her fear and enter the fray. The banshee is also having significant difficulty keeping her form together. In her haste, she attempts to make another attack against Gogon.
Corrupting Touch Attack: 24 Damage: 19
Post your turns when you can! I'll update after each of you have posted once.
Yuno breaking free of the spell, storms up to the Banshee (Move to V25) with heavy and angry steps. No quips or one-liners this time. She simply glares at the creature before lunging her flaming rapier into its chest and then making a second lung at the Banshee's face.
Gogon barely sidestepped the banshee's next attack as he noticed Yuno rushing in. He turned to stare down the angry apparition, and simply said firmly, "No," before lunging with his spear again, and finishing with a front snap kick.
(OOC: Don't worry about your attacks @kevtr0n, the party already has enough damage to take it out.)
Although Sythm fails to fully disappear beneath the banister, causing his bolt to go wide. Yuno charges into the banshee and with two swings, she manages to dispatch the creature and send bits of the spirit flying into the aether. While not as satisfying as blood, Yuno is still pretty happy with this kill. You all feel a surge of power as you each gain a level! (OOC: You do not gain the benefits of a long rest after a boss fight.)
You all also feel another sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach as you are transported to a new room with an entirely different layout.
(OOC: This is the same fight that my group is about to beat... And @lancellot hasn't been active for 3 days... I am not sure what exactly he has planned for the third floor so I am not going to describe it yet and you guys still have PLENTY of decisions to make now that you are level 3 (subclasses!)... Sorry for the delay and I am going to give him 2 more days, (until Wednesday) and if he hasn't updated, then I will continue this using the same set of rules, but my own monsters/themes.)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Gogon fist-pumped the air as the room transformed, then began what had to be some provincial halfling jig. He quickly slowed to a stop, however, as his eyes glazed over.
Internal Vision:
The halfling suddenly found himself standing in an open, lush green field. It looked a lot like where he grew up, except for the mountains in the distance to his left and right. Looking forward again, he noticed, apparently for the first time, a gargantuan dragon a hundred feet or so in front of him, one with five heads. Each head had a different coloration to their scales--white, black, red, green and blue, and each was staring down at the little monk.
Flanking the dragon, and also staring at Gogon were several dragonborn, five on the dragon's left, and five on the dragon's right. They were in various outfits--some appeared to be warriors, others mystics, others academics and even an apparent commoner. But they seemed to represent each of the dragonic colors between them. They all remained silent as the red head of the giant dragon suddenly spoke:
"For years now you have meditated and sought to align your ki to ours. Your efforts and focus have finally paid off, little one. You have but a fraction of our power... let us see how you fare with it!"
Suddenly, the red head raised and roared. All the other dragon heads, as well as each of the dragonborn, quickly joined in the roar, and the volume overwhelmed the monk who could only close his eyes and cover his ears--at which point the noise ceased, and the vision was no more.
Shaking his head, the monk came back to his senses. "Wow!" he said aloud, "I think... I think I've finally managed to channel dragonic ki!" He leaned his spear up against the wall, then looked down at his hands. He concentrated, and suddenly sparks of electricity leapt from his palms, quickly followed by glowing red motes of fire after the sparks ceased. Next was falling bursts of icy fog, followed by a dingy-looking greenish miasma that hovered around his hands. Finally, as the miasma vanished, there was a sizzling sound and thin wisps of violet smoke arose, sending an acrid scent through the room.
Closing his hands into fists, Gogon could only grin. "This is going to be FUN!"
As you all feel the tugging sensation in the pits of your stomach, you find yourself in a room that is full of greenery. There is a large tree on the left hand side of the room and multiple bushes scattered about the room.
Mechanics: Bushes are considered difficult terrain but cannot provide cover unless the creature is prone. The tree can be hidden behind and reaches 10 feet in the air.

Two doors appear in the back of the room covered in ivy and vines. Through the foliage, you see that the door on the left has an image of two potion bottles with some kind of red swirling liquid inside. The door on the right has an image of a whip which is faintly glowing. The voice speaks, "Choose your fate."
(OOC: Ignore the boss map at the bottom of the level 3 page, I am still working on updates.)
Looking around the room Chan takes a deep breath and says “A bit of fresh air is nice. I also feel stronger after that banshee. She almost had us.” Looking to the potion door, then to his companions, he says “It was the potion, and your quick thinking, that turned the tides of that battle. Perhaps that door would be best for us now?”
As they head towards the potion door, before his friend attempts to sneak through, Chan says “Let us start this next battle off a bit refreshed with our new strength.” He then holds his shield up as a flash of light heals their wounds for 11.
(OOC: Prayer of Healing is fine to cast in between fights (note that the ten minute casting time will count against the time of ongoing conditions), but there may be restrictions on spells such as Catnap that would allow you to gain the benefits of a rest.)
As Sythm and Yuno sneak into the room, Sythm's crossbow fumbles out of his hands, and while he manages to bend down and pick it up, his attempt and quiet has been foiled. Yuno on the other hand manages to sneak in very quietly. However, as she pads into the room, and the rest of the party is teleported in after her, the creature in the room twitches its nose for a second and lets out a low growl in her direction. Standing near the back of the room with the head of a tiger and orange and black fur but a humanoid form is a terrifyingly tall weretiger. As you enter the room it crouches into its battle stance and prepares to pounce.
(Nobody is stealthed)
(You may reposition up to ten feet away from the door for free)

Feeling the light through him, giving him the initiative to act quickly in this fight, Chan decides to flex his new power slightly. Stepping up to the tree, he holds his shield towards the creature as a [Tooltip Not Found] streaks from it.
Attack: 24 Damage: 16 - and advantage on the next attack if it hits.
As the large blast of energy makes contact with the tiger, it stumbles backwards only to be slammed in the chest with a large crossbow bolt from Sythm. Together the attacks look to be wearing it down, although it lets out a bestial roar as it recovers its stance.
(OOC: Sythm already had advantage before Guiding Bolt so the advantage is lost for the next attack. Remember the turn order even if that is not the order that you post your turns in!)
Furious at the attackers, the weretiger goes bounds towards the nearest creature that just attacked it. Sprinting towards Sythm, the weretiger realizes at the last moment, that it will not be able to clear the bush in front of Sythm and pivots towards Gogon lashing out with both of its claws. As it bounds towards Gogon, it leaps into the air attempting to knock the small halfling down.
Claw Attack: 18 Damage: 11 (Strength Save on Hit: 20) Claw Attack: 11 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. (Strength Save on Hit: 17)
The first claw swishes through the air as Gogon tucks and rolls out of the way. Unfortunately, he rolls straight into second claw as he stands and it leaves a long scratch up his arm, although he manages to avoid being knocked down as the weretiger lands between him and Sythm letting out a low and terrifying growl.
Seeing his friend finally snap out of the fear, Chan smiles and again sends a sacred flame from his shield towards the undead. “The tide turns.” He thinks to himself.
