Fril also looks a bit disappointed, he was looking forward to a revelation from his newfound friend, but with seemingly nothing changed, he turns to Peek, "Onwards to the outpost. I suppose that's the next place on our list! Lead on." Fril follows immediately behind Peek as they make their way through the tunnels towards the next watch post.

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Peek takes you back east to the section that had been under construction, and then continues east through the door that you didn't open earlier. "Don't know what's that way." (pointing south), and then continues east. It leads to a long hallway, and Peek slowly creeps forward, looking back at you all constantly as he leads the way. "Close. Just up here."
As you walk through the hallway, in that little alcove you would see a shallow niche containing a sculpture of a nude, heavyset man playing a harp. There is also a broken half of a 10-foot pole on the ground. Peek does not acknowledge this.
You then get to a closed door.
"Ok. Watch house here through door then north. Peek not know what is south. Door safe to open, then have to be quiet. Bugbears up north in there. 2 maybe. Not sure if brains taken over. Lots of goblin friends in here. No kill goblin friends, right?" he looks at you in a hopeful way.
What will you all do here? Let me know the preferred order as well for entering the door if/when you decide to do that. Apologies if I have it wrong on the current map.
"I'm thinking we let Farok go first, and we all try to sneak in behind him. I just think that when a fight breaks out, I'd rather be behind him, than in front. I'm fine with being quiet, and I think Peek will be too, but what about the two of you?" Fril asks the other two members of the group. He reassures Peek, "You won't have to kill your goblin friends, but we might have to restrain them." Turning back to the group he gives a stern look and says again, "These goblins are probably not here for any other reason than that they were forced. They are being mistreated by the bugbears and we will do our best to kill the bugbears alone, so that the goblins can be freed. If they strike you," he looks to Farok, "Move them out of the way, or restrain them. Do not strike back."

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
"Peek sorry. Peek make mistake. Peek new here. Small Xanathar watch post through door and then north. Big Xanathar watch post through door and then south."
Farok nods at the instructions to keep the goblins alive, adding, “They can taste the side of my blade if they hit me. Though it will hurt, they will not die.” He then looks to Peek and continues, “If you wish your friends to remain alive you must convince them not to betray us.”
Then deciding which way to go asks, “Are the north and south posts connected? Will we be flanked once we go through this door?”
In preparation for the group advancing into the next room, Cami grabs the Protector from her Bag of Holding to hand it to Pocket again. There's one question directed at her, and she answers.
Peek responds to Farok"ohhhh big person, not all goblins here Peek friends, but still goblin. They tricked by bugbears. Not their fault. Like birdman says. Peek will try though." he sighs.
Peek says to Farok and everyone: "North and south posts not connected. Lots of hallways, but not connect. Some places Peek not know either. Not all guild in here. Dungeon huuuuuuuuuge. South way is main Xanathar watch post. Lots of bugbears down that way. Brains taken over. ewwwwwwww. Maybe Peek and friends go see north watch post first? North post smaller. Peek think."
And lastly, he says to all "Here. Shhh. Let me show you in here. Then you decide which way to go. Please no make Peek go first. Peek bad faker."
Peek opens the door, and you can see now the options beyond. Any progression north will require a stealth check for whoever goes up that way. South will not, and would take you to another closed door.
"Well... No better time than the present." Fril whispers to the group. "I'll go in the middle with Peek. Farok should go in front and Cami should stay behind us stealth is prefered, but worst case scenario we can just pop out and take out all the bugbears. Remember, keep as many of the goblins alive as possible." With that, he waits for Farok to go ahead (north) and sneaks in behind him.
((Farok can roll a 1 and the group will still succeed since more than half of the group has passed. I'll get the next post ready as there is no need for the Farok roll, technically.))
Ok, you all head north up the hallway, and remain quiet as you do so as a party. You make it about 30 feet or so, and Farok you spot them first.
2 bugbears, lazily standing guard.
If you plan on attacking these bugbears, everyone please roll for initiative. They will both be surprised for round 1, although you will not be considered unseen and therefore no advantage on the attack rolls (unless for a different reason).
I have updated both of the maps to show you what you've uncovered so far.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
From behind Farok, Fril taps the large elf's shoulder and drags his talon across his throat, pointing to the bugbears and then putting his talon up to his beak in the universal sign for 'kill' and 'quietly.' With that, he draws arrow an arrow into his bow, breathes in, and releases the arrow with his breath aiming for the bugbear on the left. Flying up 5 feet to the ceiling, he draws and releases another arrow motioning for Peek to do the same. Peek presses himself against the wall to hide before he releases his arrow at the same bugbear.
Cami sees that Pocket is in the right place, and she presses the button that activates the Protector. The comfortable scent that comes from it strengthens everyone that's still in the area. Then, she notices bows being prepared and arrows being fired, so she moves to the front with her portable cannon in hand, hoping to find sight on the closest bugbear to fire at.
Bonus Action: Activating Protector Cannon
7 temp HP to everyone with 10 ft. of the cannon. (Includes everyone except Farok in the situation where he moved before Cami.)
If Farok moved:
Movement: 15 ft. north (wastes 20 ft. to pass through Fril's and Peek's spaces combined.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Farok nods silently in response to the the team getting ready. On his turn, he moves forward two spaces, to block the bugbears from moving past, and swings at whichever looks the most injured. If a brain pops out, he also focuses his attacks on that.
Granted, Peek is behind Fril and Farok and the bugbears likely can't see to much of him, I am not sure he'd be able to actually hide behind them with the bugbears already seeing the line of people in the hallway. Also, there are a few bodies between him and the target, so Peek just isn't able to get a clear view and the arrow goes wide into the wall. (I used 3/4 cover due to 2 people with Fril not hovering yet.)
Pocket moves ahead as described.
Bugbear 1 and 2 look bewildered as they can see a line of people now filling the hallway and attacking them. (Surprised)
Farok, you move forward as described and swing your sword with ease. The first attack cuts deep, the second one is taken by the creature's shield. It yells out in pain.
Cami activates the protector cannon! (yup Farok would not get it this time). She moves forward as well, and then releases the single small ball towards the bugbear... (I assume that is right?) and it blows the creature completely up. There are pieces of it everywhere as they smoulder away on the ground. Bugbear 2 starts to completely loose their shit.
Fril, you hover up and release two arrows at the stunned bugbear 2. One of them hits, and it sinks deep into its furry flesh.
Fril also looks a bit disappointed, he was looking forward to a revelation from his newfound friend, but with seemingly nothing changed, he turns to Peek, "Onwards to the outpost.
