The show was just as lively as Jamben had expected, and he could tell without much difficulty that many of the 'tricks' in this show were more than just sleight of hand or misdirection. A lot of those tactics were used, undoubtedly, but the performers in this circus were truly talented in ways that made them potentially dangerous. Luckily, they didn't seem intent on causing mayhem as far as he could tell. The show turned out to be quite a nice novel evening of entertainment, too. The only curiosity left to explore was that strange item that Thirch had been given as part of the show. The half elf didn't hear the words that the ringleader had spoken to Thirch in a whisper, so he had no clue of the omen that came attached to the item.
As the show began clearing out, Jamben approached Rav and Thirch to regroup with the rest of their crew. Then he'd follow alongside them back to the tavern for a night of rest.
The armorclad half elf took a seat at one of the tables in the tavern. After getting himself a mug of ale, he sipped it quietly to wind down after the day's festivities. If nobody approached him before his ale was gone, he'd retire to bed just as quietly.
Rav hung outside for a moment and reflected on the night before heading in. He felt uneasy about the festivities as it seemed some sort of necromancy took place. He also wondered about the object given to Thirch and what was whispered in his ear. He entered the tavern and saw Jamben sitting by himself. Rav got the feeling he was an honorable sort and sat down at his table and order the same drink Jamben had as to not seem out of place. "Interesting show tonight, interesting indeed. What did you think of the show Jamben?"
Jamben looked up from his mug when he heard Rav's voice. The half elf nodded softly. "Interesting might be a good word for it. I'm not well versed in the ways of magic, but even my eyes could tell there was much more than sleight of hand and misdirection in that show. I know it is their whole game to be strange and unusual, but there are different kinds strange and unusual...and I don't feel like theirs was a good one." He took another sip of his drink, then looked the Loxodon up and down. "I haven't seen too many of your people before. Where do you hail from?"
" I see we are on the same page...something about this group struck me as...." Rav trails off "sinister....As for me, I have been on this island for roughly 250 years living in the woods, studying and living amongst nature. I came from a town named Hoban and spent much of my time with an old druid in the woods named Roda....but that was a long time ago....What about you? You same like a soldier of sort"
"I grew up in a small town. Got by thanks to joining the local militia. A former mercenary had settled down in my hometown, and he instructed the militia on how to fight. I couldn't constrain myself to that fate forever, though, and eventually set off on my own. I've been drifting about doing odd jobs ever since. Having a bit of skill with a sword comes in handy now and then, but I prefer not to fight if the option is available. Life is too precious to discard so readily."
"Agreed, the natural order of things and the cycle of life should not be meddled with if there are other options. Unfortunately there are those who seek to disrupt that very order. It seems it is time for me to help do something about those beings...although I am not sure what to make of our group"
The last of his ale passed his lips and he set the empty mug on the table beside him. "It is concerning, no doubt. But if the authorities do not wish to do anything about it...it will be complicated for a bunch of vagabonds like ourselves to make a move to stop it. As for our group... I can't really say much. For one reason or another they don't seem interested in conversing with me like you do."
"I wouldn't say that we're not interested, just cautious. You look like trouble. The lawful kind. Rav, has a disarming calmness about him, Rosissa is adorable, Siegward is... well, Siegard and Thirch's bloodlust can be sensed from miles away which makes him predictable and therefore, not a threat. You two talk about the cycle of life as though death has no part in it. Even in nature, prey will often rise up against those preying on them. Especially if the hunter is outnumbered. If there is a mindless killer on the loose, it is only natural to bring an end to its madness. The thrill of the hunt only makes the job that much more enjoyable."
"Nothing wrong with being cautious.....My years on this island have taught me a few things...one of them is being cautious...I have also come quite fond of the cycles of life and nature. What nature giveth, nature can taketh away. It is quite fascinating...A prey's relationship with the hunter and vice versa is typically not a complicated piece of the cycle...However, in our instance, I think it might be quite complicated and I have to wonder, which are we in that piece of the cycle?" Rav trails off at the end of the sentence deep in thought.
He scoffed at the notion that he might be of the unsavory variety just because he looked a little rough and dirty. "As far as life and death are concerned... they're both natural pieces to our little puzzle called existence. Undeath, however, is not, and that is what Rav and I were mostly targeting with our conversation a moment ago." His eyes shifted once more as Thirch approached as well. "That is a very good question. I imagine it wise to wait until everyone has risen and gotten some semblance of a meal in them before we set out. I don't know what everyone's schedule is like, but I normally wake fairly early. At least no later than sunrise."
"I agree that it's best to rise early. The earlier we get out of here, the more ground we can cover." She turns to Rosissa "What would you say to us girls sharing a room, mhm? It will save us a few coins and I really don't fancy sleeping alone. Don't worry, I won't touch that little morsel you carry around. Cat's promise." she winks
Siegward stumbles into the inn just as everyone is exchanging pleasantries.
The door hits the wall with a bang, and Siegward is there, drunk as a skunk, a flagon of ale in one hand and his longsword in the other. The metal of the blade clangs against the doorframe, and is scraped on the floorboards as he loosely dangles it at his side. He grunts at his group, before spinning a 180 and hurling his stomach contents into the street. He drops his flagon, spilling the ale, and wipes his mouth after a lengthy barf. He says not one word to the group as he stares at the floor, shambling past to his room.

Thirch will stay up for one hour before going to bed, he will just watch people and have some ale.

Thirch finishes his ale and walks up to Rav and the group.
What time will we be leaving in the morning?

"Early tomorrow it is then....Good night" Rav bows and heads to his room for the night.
Jamben nods to the group and follows suit. It was time to rest, lest he end up waking late and missing the gathering before the storm.
Rossila seems to have zoned out for this entire encounter, but smiles and nods. "Goodnight!"
