"There's this blacksmith, Markguth, but he recently broke his arm on an accident and he's out of work for now." Nighthill answers. "But if you wish to talk with him, I can tell you where he lives..."

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
"That's okay, Roladd. You did good,"Harmony tells the boy with a small smile and a pat on his shoulder, then ushers him off to go find his siblings. Her face falls slightly as she turns to face Linan. "I'm afraid I have bad news. It might be best if both of you hear it at once."
Once Cuth has returned, she continues."A group of powerful cultists is planning to attack the town and destroy as much as they can. The governor has ordered a temporary evacuation for everyone's safety. I know this is hard to hear, but the five of us are going to do whatever we can to stop them, or at least put a dent in their forces."
Petmailer replies to Nighthill “Pity. Perhaps I will see in the morning if he has anything useful. I don’t want to cause panic and so I will ask after everyone has been alerted and we are making plans to leave in the morning. For now I will watch over the town as best as I can.” He pulls out his long bow and finds an area with a good vantage point for the next 4 hours, hidden as best as he can, and then falls into a meditative state, a trance for the following 4 hours to rest. If Gunra is in a good spot to observe, he will join him.
Yes, we plan to infiltrate their camp and do our best to stop them. But we stand no chance against them in an open battle, even with the help of the towns guard. When they assault the town, they will spare no-one. Abandoning the town is your only chance for survival. Your inn may be rebuild but your lifes can not.
Here, take these as a payment for your help (Nurm gives the inkeeper the sack of gold he received ealier). I do not know the currency of your lands and its value, but I hope it is enough to pay for at least some of the resources you had to spend on helping me.
"What is this cult? How does you and the Governor know that? When are they going to attack?" Linan asks in a single breath.
Cuth gives a panicked look to his wife. "...Where are the kids?"He asks to Linan, who puts a hand over his arm to comfort him. "Zackary and Zirca are playing around again, but Rol already went looking for them. They'll be back any second now..."
Their conversation gets interrupted when Nurm offers his gold to them. "I... I can't accept this." Cuth says, but he still gently holds the sack when you give it to him. "Are you sure you won't be needing this more than us?"
"I have to be honest. When we found you, we didn't even knew what you were. We still don't know..." Linan explains. "But we helped you because it was the right thing to do. Because if any of us had been on that situation, we also would have wanted to be helped. That's why we did what we did. You are not forced to pay us anything for it if you don't want to."

The gith's face is unreadable as always. Only his crystal is pulsating.
We know little right now sadly. We know, they are followers of Tiamat, the chromatic dragon queen and they plan to attack your town, just to please her. We however do not know when the attack comes, but it will be soon.
Our people are known as Githzerai. We strive for order and mental perfection, serving as a beacon of law in the oceans of chaos of our world. A long time ago Tiamat formed a pact with our enemies and thus she became our enemy too. Normally, We are a rare sight on your world, however there were a rumours about the cult and thus me and others of our people arrived to you world, only to be ambushed. That is how you found me. Your actions were noble and I am still in your debt. Please accept the coins.
Nurm pauses for a while.
There is one more favor I will need to ask you though. I will need some basic sustenance for our journey to the camp. Would you be willing to part with some basic durable food for a few days?
Cuth looks at the coins and then back to you. "...Thank you." He finally says, keeping the coins.
At the request, Linan immediately agrees. "Of course, how many rations do you think you might need?" She asks, and begins to search in the pantry for what could be used as durable rations.
When she comes back with the food, she's also carrying a vial containing a red fluid. "If you get injured out there, drink this. It might help." She indicates. "Please take care."
Thank you, this might indeed be helpful. The potion flies from the Linan's hand and end inside the Nurm's robe. As for the food, my people do not require much. Our daily needs would be similar to you children's needs. The camp is located at Greenfields, so rations for our journey there should be enough. I am sure we will find more in the camp for our return.
Linan has as small laugh over something you said, but comes out as nervous due to still being scared about the news. "Oh, I don't think that's as good of a comparasion as you may think it is. My kids are as gluttonous as a hill giant."
She gives you a bag with the rations. "That should be enough for 10 days. It may sound like too much for you, but it's better to be prepared."She explains. "And please do not worry about us, there's enough here to feed an army."
Roladd arrives soon later, holding two smaller kids by the hand, a girl and boy. While Roladd has the brown hair and green eyes of his mom, the twins have the blue eyes and black hair of their father. There's some leaves on the girl's hair, and both of their clothes have dirt on them.
"There you two are, we were worried..." She says to the kids, before turning to Nurm and Harmony. "Sorry, mom duty calls. I'm have to take them to their rooms or they might run off again. Please feel free to stay for the night or as long as you need, you know where your rooms are. Goodnight!"
"Wait, what army? What were you talking about, I want to know!" Roladd asks. His siblings also look curious.
She leaves with Roladd, while he drags the twins along with him. As they leave, you can hear the two bombarding him with questions. "What's an army?""Something big and bad...""Can I have an army?""No"
"If you two ever need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask." Cuth gently reminds you, before starting to gather rations and equipment for his family and himself.

"Thank you both, for everything,"Harmony adds. "You'll be safe in Iriaebor. With any luck this will blow over quickly and you'll be home again before you know it."
If nobody has anything else to say, she'll collect her things and head up to her room for the night.
((I'm going to assume Nurm went to get some rest as well. If not, then still feel free to describe what he was doing through the night.))
As some of you rest, this night is not an dreamless one. As you drift off into slumber, you are greeted by vivid images that start dancing inside your mind, pulling you in. Some pleasant, others absolutely nightmarish.
To Gunra:
When you open your eyes, you are in a beautiful meadow. The grasslands around you are filled with all kinds of flowers, and they extend as far as the eye can see.
The chestnut tree you went to sleep under is still there, but now is in full bloom. The white-and-pink flowers have an overwhelmingly sweet aroma.
As you look around you, you see what looks like a transparent, ghost-like draconic being walking towards you. Too small to be a true dragon, but too strange to be a normal drake or even the ghost of one: You get the sense that it is far more powerful than that.
This draconic spirit is traslucent but not colorless: All chromatic and metallic colors are reflected on its otherworldly form, bright shadows and dark lights dancing on its opalescent scales, like a prismatic stone. As such, its body looks like it has been embroidered out of the collective power of a bunch of different dragons.
It walks towards you and it stands there, looking at you with something that feels like fondness. But when you try to touch it or speak to it, it disappears into the air like smoke.
When you wake up, you feel both invigorated and weirdly nostalgic for some event that has not happened yet.
To Kane:
When you wake up, you are immediately aware of two things: 1. You are in a cave in some charred wasteland, with dark rocks and ashes being the first things you see as you open your eyes, and 2. There is a snake curled up around your throat, like some kind of sinister scarf.
Trying to remove the snake only makes it coil and hold on tighter, constricting your neck and asphyxiating you until you let go of it, at which points it allows you to breathe once again. Calling out for help, you exit the cave, only to see vast ashen plains all around you, no friendly face in sight. A blood-red light suffuses everything, and you get the sense that everything around you is in a constant state of burning even if you don't see any flames.
A tall mountain is visible, but too far to reach. Clouds of lightning, fire, ice, acid and poison seem to surround it, and for a brief moment the sinister fog takes the form of a demonic five-headed dragon before dissipating.
The serpent on you neck starts whispering in your ears in Infernal. "Avernus welcomes all... But not everything here chooses to stay."
You wake up again, this time for real, safe in the inn. No serpent, no hellish landscape, just a soft bed and a dark room.
To Harmony:
You have seen this dream before: The world is being destroyed, and there's that same coldness, the same fumes of fire, acid and poison, the same lightning storms.
But this time, the dream ends differently. The moon starts to shine bright in the sky, starts and lights trailing all around it like tears, and alongside it there's all these divine presences moving too fast for your eyes to see clearly: There's the inspiring song of a musical instrument, the inventive turning of gears, the comforting aroma of flowers blooming, the encoraging thunderous slam of a hammer, the protecting aura of a rising blue star...
Before you wake up, one of the many figures on the bright nigh sky becomes clearer: That of an ancient dragon flying into the distance. A dragon of platinum scales.
You hear the crying moon sing you goodbye as you wake up.
The sun begins to rise in the sky, and a brand new day begins.
There's movement in Greenest: The townsfolk are preparing everything to leave, and it's clear in some of them that they didn't get any sleep after receiving the sudden news. Inside the inn, there's the strong smell of coffee being brewed, and both the innkeeper and his wife are doing their best to hide their fear under a mask of polite cheerfulness.
Nighthill is already up ordering some people in getting caravans ready, and Escobert is leading a group carrying bags of flour and other harvest products from the mill to the chariots.
Gunra and Petmailer, make a Perception check.

Petmailer wakes up and checks that Gunra is up as well. He stretches and rolls up his bedroll, packs his things away and puts on his leather armor. After sorting everything out he will go to the smithy to see if they have anything useful despite his recent injury, then to the inn to meet up with the others and secure some additional rations. Before he goes after he packs up he scans the skies and surrounding area from his vantage point.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Harmony wakes up in the now-familiar inn room with a strange feeling of hope. Deciding to take it in stride, she heads downstairs for a quick breakfast before approaching Cuth and Linan and asking if there is anything she can do to help them out.
One of the sacks on the table flies to Nurms hand. Nurm does not look into the sack and just holds it. Then he turns to Harmony and Nighthill.
I would like to join you, and tell the news to the Innkeeper.
Says he, sounding like he's just stating a fact.
Gunra casually hefts his reward and slips it into his pack.

Gunra, searching around the town you find that most of the tall trees and other wild vegetation has been long deforested to make way for crops and farmlands, but there's still an old chestnut a yard away from the inn. Its bark has darkened with age, and the trunk is a little twisted, but you get the sense that it has been alive for a long time and it will continue to live even longer if allowed to.
Those of you who have gone to sleep, do a Long Rest.
To Harmony and Gunra:
While Cuth is guiding Kane to his room, you find Linan finishing her job at the tavern's kitchen before calling for her children. Roladd answers her call immediately, but the other two do not. Giving an exasperated sight, she doesn't seems surprised nor worried by this, she's gotten used to it.
"Rol, can you go get them? Tell them to go to bed. Immediately." She tells the boy, too tired to deal with the two twins' games herself at this hour. Roladd nods and goes to the exit, where he finds you.
"Hello! I'm sorry I couldn't keep Red away..." He mumbles, apologetic. "Can't talk right now, I have another mission to take care off."
If allowed outside of the kitchen, you can hear him shout "Zirca, Zackary! C'me here you two right now!" as he leaves.
There's a brief smile in Linan's face before she turns to talk with you two. "Hello, Harmony, and hello to you too... Nurm, was it? Is there anything you need? Cuth is attending someone, but will be back here in just a sec."

"There's this blacksmith, Markguth, but he recently broke his arm on an accident and he's out of work for now." Nighthill answers. "But if you wish to talk with him, I can tell you where he lives..."
To Petmailer:
The blacksmith lives close to the inn, between other two businesses.

Gunra cradles a fallen chestnut in the palm of his hand and pauses for a moment at the tree. It could be hundreds of years old. There's a moment of somber reflection at the relative mortality of his race - and of all the people in Greenest. He then beds down for the night.
Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
"That's okay, Roladd. You did good," Harmony tells the boy with a small smile and a pat on his shoulder, then ushers him off to go find his siblings. Her face falls slightly as she turns to face Linan. "I'm afraid I have bad news. It might be best if both of you hear it at once."
Once Cuth has returned, she continues. "A group of powerful cultists is planning to attack the town and destroy as much as they can.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Linan and Cuth both pale at the news.
"What is this cult? How does you and the Governor know that? When are they going to attack?" Linan asks in a single breath.
Cuth gives a panicked look to his wife. "...Where are the kids?" He asks to Linan, who puts a hand over his arm to comfort him.

The vial is 1 Potion of Healing.

It may sound like too much for you, but it's better to be prepared." She explains.
"What's an army?" "Something big and bad..." "Can I have an army?" "No"
"If you two ever need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask." Cuth gently reminds you, before starting to gather rations and equipment for his family and himself.

"Thank you both, for everything," Harmony adds.

Harmony wakes up in the now-familiar inn room with a strange feeling of hope. Deciding to take it in stride, she heads downstairs for a quick breakfast before approaching Cuth and Linan and asking if there is anything she can do to help them out.
