On his turn, Duncan the giant ape hears the dragon off down one of the tunnels making a lot of noise with ice. Roaring, he races off towards the creature, ready to tear it apart for sending the icy death breath at him.
As a huge creature, the terrain may not restrict him as much as before, so not sure how far he gets. He moves and dashes (move speed 40 and climbing speed 40 if needed)

Gryrig calls to the rest of the group: "The Dragon appears to be circling around behind us to where we came in. It's either escaping, or trying to attack us from behind. Everyone! Back to the entrance!"
Gryrig moves (using Dash cunning action) to F5, close to where they started. If he sees Glazhael at any time during his move or from his new location, he will use his action to attack her.
Depending on the range to the Dragon:
<=60ft:
Gryrig throws a Psychic Blade Attack: 16 Damage: 11 psychic
>60ft, <=80ft:
Gryrig uses his shortbow to attack her. Attack: 12 Damage: 8 piercing
>80ft, <320ft
Gryrig uses his shortbow at extreme distance (disadvantage) to attack her. Attack: 14 Damage: 9 piercing
If he sees nothing and cannot attack this turn, he will use his readied action to throw the Psychic blade if any enemy comes within range (rolls for 60ft range Psychic blade above)
He then shouts down the tunnel to mock the Dragon: "I had prepared myself to face a giant Wyrm, but I now realise all we found was a giant Worm! Are you so terrified of us that you are running already? Perhaps I will use the gold to pay an army of bards to spread tales of your cowardice far and wide!"
(roll, if necessary: Performance 6 )
(If the mocking works, I fear Gryrig may have very dangerously turned himself into dragon-bait)
a bunch of more-or-less friendly Giants (Blagothkus, Wiglof, and Hulda),
a wyrm-speaker (in possession of a a larger set of masks)
Red Wizards
Cultists
and probably more.
The Giants seem neutral, but the rest could come to the assistance of the dragon. Are we sure the Dragon has actually properly run away? In any case, I think that we should we return to the giant who controls the flying castle for advice/guidance, or even just to ask him to now fly the rock and the treasure hoard to the nearest bank for us? [presumably we'll have to split it with them])
"Well that was less than satisfactory." Kat grumbles from where she stands, still invisible. She waits a bit, but, when it becomes clear the dragon is not returning, she moves around, trying to see if anything in the treasure looks interesting. "Can someone tell if any of this stuff is magical?" She asks the group as she moves around.
The sound of battle again starts outside thru the tunnel in the ceiling and its very distant. The sound can be heard to the northeast also but very faint. Along with it are faint unintelligible curses in draconic, And the sound of a breath weapon being used. Torman looses concentration on his spell, as his feet and yours starts coming off the ground then the castle stabilizes putting you back on the floor of this flying castle.
"I think this place is going to crash!"Torman says with urgency.

Duncan:
Running and climbing at high speed as a giant ape towards the sounds, Duncan bursts through the chilled cloud hardly noticing the damage he incurs to his great ape form.
(I am assuming he transforms back at some point?)
Suddenly, everything gets much smaller and he is in human—and heavily-wounded—form once again. Briefly stopping to catch his breath, Duncan assesses where he is and what is going on.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
(Need an update on where everyone is. I assume the giant ape went up and followed the dragon through some tunnels, so guessing that Duncan is no where near the rest of us at this point. Let me know if that is incorrect.) "If this place is going down, we likely need to find a place a lot higher than this, as this area is likely to not be safe in a crash." Kat announces, turning to start back the way they came.
Slowing his headlong rush, Duncan rejoins the others at the treasure pile. “Did I hear someone offer healing—or say this place is crashing?” He says with concern.

“Duncan, you look rough. I can heal you further when we get to a stopping place, but we may need to continue running.” Azzure lands beside Duncan, avoiding the freezing fog. Azzure is visible now and looking around, scanning for the way out and sounds of anyone trying to enter the cavern to attack them. He is ready to take flight again if needed.
Healing word at second level for 12 hit points of healing.

”Thanks, Azzure. What have we found of use in the dragon’s treasure pile?” says Duncan. While his pockets were full of gems he could grab quickly from before, there might be more items of magic or otherwise of great value that could better equip them for their upcoming challenges.
