When a few moments have passed, Ash nods to Ess, whispering, “Just go for the nearest one… I’ll try to hit a vital point when you have them distracted”. Then she and attempts to quietly open the door, and rush in towards the nearest one so they can ‘focus fire’ between them and trigger sneak attack.
Initiative (if needed): 4
Stealth (if needed): 22
((if Ash’s initiative is higher than Ess’s she will ready an attack for when he’s engaged in melee with the same target. If Ess’s initiative is higher, she will just follow him in and take 2x attacks as normal))

When Captain Ben looked into the lizardfolk quarters earlier, he saw that it was dimly lit. Yes that makes sense it would've been more than an hour at this point about Captain Ben.
Ok this is how this one kicks off! ->
Ash, Ess nods and watches you open the door. You do this very quietly, and you do not alert the lizardfolk. As the door opens almost silently, you see them all getting ready to climb into their hammocks. The room is dimly lit.
The fact that you have opened the door silently without them noticing you, and also that they are basically preparing to get into their beds, the lizardfolk will be surprised for round 1 of combat.
Ash, there is light, so neither you or Ess are unseen. The stealth roll covered the opening of the door without them noticing and gave you surprise, but they're going to notice as you and Ess rush them. The lizardfolk are unarmed, but they have their weapons by their hammocks which won't require an action to retrieve or anything like that. They are not prone.
One other thing - Ben, you didn't hear Ash open the door (that would eliminate the surprise if you could hear it), and so you did not cast your spell to open your door yet, so that door is currently closed the moment combat begins.
Lizardfolk and Korrik initiative in OOC roller!
Round 1: Ash, Ben, Ess, Lizardfolk (surprised), Korrik
Ash is up! Will she ready an attack for when Ess rushes in? You can roll that attack if you'd like.
Ben would be up next. His door is still closed.
I'll also roll Ess's attack now: Butt End of longsword, using 2 hands, non-lethal: 19 Damage: 5
The Lizardfolk are surprised in round 1.
Korrik would then be up to end round 1. (Spider had mentioned botting Korrik today, but I think I'll wait for him to respond for the actual turn)
Map is updated!
I will post results of Ess's attack after Ash rolls her attack and Ben/Korrik take their turns.
As Ash opens the door and sees the scene in front of her, she allows herself a little smile. Although, with her feline features, it often looks like she’s smiling anyway.
She moves swiftly in, ((current map positions are fine)) and she waits for Ess to move in and attack. As he does so, she looks at him wide eyed, as if to say, ‘krikey!’, at the cracking blow he delivers. She follows up with her own readied attack…
((Oh totally yes, I was just meaning that the door is closed on the start of Ben's turn because of how quietly Ash opened her door, so he would have to use an action on his rd 1 turn to open the door if he's using thaumaturgy. Let me know and then if you want to do anything else let me know ie. move back towards captain's room after casting spell))
Will wait for confirmation of that, plus Korrik's move and then compile it all!
Ash waits for Ess to burst in with his sword, and just split moments before that, Ben uses his magic to try to open the lizardfolk door... and the lizardfolk did not lock the door, so it flings open. Ben then retreats back a bit as he can see the light from outside of the room. ((let me know if I moved you back far enough or if you wanted to be closer))
Ess enters and just cracks the west lizardfolk right on its head HARD with the butt of his sword.
This triggers Ash's entry and subsequent attacks. She hits the same lizardfolk as Ess hit with the butts of her two daggers. The lizardfolk can't handle the trauma to the head and it is knocked unconscious.
Korrik, Ben doesn't know if the lizardfolk will come out of the door after him as they are surprised and not acting yet, but from what just happened in their quarters (meta to Korrik), they likely will remain in their quarters and fight. So I'm assuming that Korrik will jump down and rush into the now opened south door and unleash his staff and fists - but let me know and then go ahead and make the attack rolls!
((I think given his original intent, and everything happening quick, he'd wait a beat to see if any of them come out after Ben, so I'll have him hold an action to bonk this turn, and if it looks like Ben's not a juicy enough target, soft squishy bard that he is, then Korrik will enter the fray.))

((As long as Ben can see the light enough to snuff it, he is happy being where he is.))
On the next round he will snuff the light and take another step back to see what happens, humming an upbeat tune that grants Kay a d6 of bardic inspiration.

((OOC: I think Ash has 3x ways to get advantage and sneak (wait for Ess to move, wait for lights out, or use Steady Aim) but they all only give her 1x attack, so she would rather act on her own initiative and rely on her own skills, and use her Steady Aim trait)).
As soon as the first Lizardfolk drops, and before the others even have a chance to react, without moving at all, Ash pivots on the spot and takes a moment to steady her aim before cracking the northern-most Lizardfolk across the temple…
Bonus action: Ash uses her ‘Steady Aim’ trait to give advantage (and therefore Sneak Attack) to her attack ((It also drops her speed to zero)).

Ess trips and he isn't able to get any muscle behind his attack. The lizardfolk manages to evade the blow.
The lizardfolk are next. It is now dark in their quarters. Not pitch black or anything, so they are still able to fumble about and get their weapons of which they are very familiar with. They cannot see in the dark though, and so will suffer the appropriate penalties.
They begin to angrily yell out, this time 100% in draconic so you aren't sure what they are saying.
The north lizardfolk attacks Ash, and the south one attacks Ess. They can't really see, so attacks are made with disadvantage.
Ash: Bite: 10 Damage: 3 Club: 22 Damage: 6
Ess: Bite: 17 Damage: 6 Club: 9 Damage: 7
"OUFFFFF"Ess takes the club across the chest.
Korrik is up! So they did not come out. Map is updated.

Korrik leaves his staff behind, vaulting over the railing and catching the ledge and swinging himself in through the doorway, before unleashing with fist and foot, seeking to batter the first one to the deck.
Fist Attack: 20 Damage: 6
Foot Attack: 17 Damage: 6

As the lights go out, Ash deftly dodges both attacks from the Lizardfolk in front of her. After Korrik joins the fray, she lashes out, in the darkness ((=adv.)) at the northern-most Lizardfolk again ((if the first attack takes them down, she’ll target the last one standing with the next attack))…
Korrik, you do exactly as described, although looking at the map I'm not sure if you actually swing down into the room that you'd be able to attack them as there's only one unoccupied square in there to attack from which is too far away. Unless you can stop and attack in an ally's square and then continue to the empty one? Either way, you could totally vault down and then unleash those strikes to the south lizardfolk, the one who attacked Ess. Let me know about this, but either way, the damage is taken. Your fist cracks the lizardfolk's jaw followed by the kick.
Round 3: Ash, Ben, Ess, Lizardfolk, Korrik
Ash is up!
Map is updated. If I have Korrik wrong, let me know.
