Onyx considers the curse, and Sho's suggestion about laying the remains to rest.
"Might want to consider cremation, as we can't get outside just yet," he suggests. Realizing the next steps were decided, he lifts his sword and nods to the party. "Tell me where to go and don't be afraid to flee the room if it gets too dangerous for you. I feel. . . protected."

Bertolt stays backs sheathing the shortsword and pulling out the small crossbow once more. "Onward then." Bertolt says, muttering to himself as he seems to be planning out lines for his book.
Onyx opens the door. This dark room beyond contains a wooden tub with clawed feet, a small iron stove with a kettle resting atop it, and a barrel under a spigot in the east wall. Pipes lead up from the spigot into the ceiling. You presume theres some sort of cistern on the roof collectIng rainwater that would feed this spigot. Further in, you notice another room, smaller and seems to be a storeroom.

Talion waits, eyeing the claws of the bathtub suspiciously, ready for it to make its move. The spectral hand he was preparing melts away before it is fully formed, and a purple glow begins to shroud his hand.
"I'm not sure I'll ever treat furniture the same again after this place."
Staying in the doorway, he glances around the room, looking for anything that seems out of place or suspicious. (( Perception: 14 ))
He also sizes up the room, looking for signs of hidden compartments -- knowing the shape of the surrounding rooms, he tries to match the walls. (( Investigation: 12 ))
(( I am assuming Talion can't 'help' Erven this time -- and vice-verca -- since he's not yet willing to go into the room ))
"Check the storeroom as well." Sho comments. He stands behind Talion outside the door, hands hugging his arms, deciding against his inquisitive urges to let others explore the room first. He peers in and glances up, wondering if the water-collecting system for the lavish wooden tub is still functional.
Sho - the pipes look okay but only one way to find out!
Talion and Erven - On a small table near the bath, there is also a pipe and a pouch - likely pipe weed or fire grass. You don’t sense anything out of the ordinary - it looks like it would be a nice setting to have a bath and read the latest raunchy love story. Further in, in the storeroom you can make out some linens on shelves, towels, maybe some perfumes and lotions, some cleaning things - broom, dustpan, bucket - and not much else. It’s very dark, so you see some shadows but you’d have to go in to really check.

Talion laughs and lifts the pipe with a spectral hand, "Ask, and ye shall receive!" he says, holding it up for Bertolt to see. He moves the pipe within Bertotl's grasp before his attention is drawn the darkness. Just the kind of environment that Talion thrives in. He looks a little more closely from a safe distance.
There are a variety of little bottles some full some empty at the very back of the room. The room is full of cobwebs and dust. The back shelf in particular has a wide variety of odds and ends - a pack rats dream! [You could probably find most mundane utility items here if you look, if you want].
Assuming nothing has come to life in the bath room, Talion moves cautiously forward, but does not enter the store room. Instead he quickly sifts through the items in the store room from a distance. Earlier he was looking for various items, and he looks once more. As he lifts the dusty items up he keeps a wary eye on his surrounds...
(( Any or all of the following would attract his attention: Wedges, Lantern, Oil, Disguise Kit (eg. makeup), Alcoholic beverages, Ropes, Sacks, Bedrolls, Mess kit, Flint and Tinder, Whetstone, Bell. ))
Bertolt will take the pipe and examine it before nodding to himself and setting it carefully into the makeshift belt that holds the shortsword. As done by his companion he will use his own Mage Hand to grab something to smoke with it. "As soon as we are no longer in mortal danger this will be greatly enjoyed."

It's pretty hard to do - manipulating the hand in dim light whilst standing outside the entrance. The larger items are no problem though: you do see a lantern, blankets, and a bell (this is on the table next to the bath), and there looks to be flint and tinder there as well. There are smaller items and vials, though you're not entirely sure what they are. You could have your hand try to grab as many as it can in the minute the spell is active?
Erven, in the bath room, you look into the kettle and it has some nice minty smelling tea - the kettle is hot (a bit concerning, considering where you are). But otherwise, this room holds nothing else of interest.
Erven dips his finger in the tea and takes a tiny taste, enjoys the aroma. If it is good, healing, he takes a longer drink.
After that, he walks into the store room and looks at what is on the bench. If he sees flint and tinder, he uses to catch fire to the makeshift torch he made, to get better light in the room.

@Erven It does taste nice and you feel vitality being restored to your body! Take 7 healing! As you enter the little room, sort of jostling Talion out of the way, you quickly scan and notice the lamp on the back shelf. As you pick up the tinder and flint and make ready to light the torch, your passive perception allows you to sense some wrongness beside you. You glance to your right and notice the ornate broom slowly stand up and animate!

Talion looks relieved, "Just opposite the room where we found the dog..."
(( @DM: to answer your much earlier question....let's open the door! ))
Erven agrees, and takes up position behind Onyx, readying his whip.

Onyx moves over to the bathtub. It was the most obvious source of danger - and somebody was going to poke it anyway.
"Tea and a bath. Great way to unwind," he comments before looking into the tub.

Erven walks over and looks in the tea kettle, curiosity getting the best of him.
