You gather up all the items. The paintings are varied: some small some large, but all could taken from the frames they rest in and be rolled up if you wanted to keep them.
@Sho Looking the body over, you don't see any signs of violence that would indicate a cause of death. It actually looks as if this person starved to death or wasted away from some disease...Certainly not the Priests of Osybus' MO as far as you know...
@Bertolt/Talion You give the items to Bertolt and he studies them for a while. When he is done, he is sure the scroll is a sort of Healing Spirit[ scroll, and the bag is a bag of holding!
@Onyx You swing your great sword at the doll but at the last second, it ducks out of the way! It skitters away from you on all fours to the small wardrobe, which it climbs up to stand on top of.
It looks at you, Onyx, and speaks telepathically to you (in in very fast Infernal at first, then very fast common): "Ooooh, you're a careful one! How crude...and rude! I -" It seems to struggle to form words but you hear another voice: "Hello? Hey! Help me! Blasted doll! Destroy this thing! I can't -" The voice is choked off. The earlier one continues, "Shhhhh. Stupid human. Where was I? Yes, I like you! Thank you for awakening me from this boring house. Ugh. Hey -would you like to live with me? Hee heee heee! But I don't like your sword, trying to kill me! I'll get you for that, mark my words!" The doll then stares hard at you and......giggles - a wicked, terrible sound!
Onyx, I will count your swing as an object interaction rather than a combat action. The doll laughs at you all and then hops up on the windowsill and squeezes out and climbs....somewhere, out of your vision. You hear some scratches on the roof, like rats running around in the attic, and then nothing at all.
Bertolt hands the scroll back to Talion but quickly pulls the bag over his shoulder... After he places the books he had taken from the other rooms inside the extra dimensional space. "I think it is best that I hold onto this. Oh and if no one is in need of that armor I would not be adverse to that either."
Talion flinches as Onyx attacks the doll, and hurriedly steps back from his investigations. He watches in suprise as the doll flees, his hand once again glowing an ominous purple. "Did...did everyone just see that doll run out of the house?"
He looks around at his companions as the footsteps on the roof recede, then shrugs and resumes his investigations. "Well that's a first..." he says, before quickly checking on the dog.
After handing the bag and scroll to Bertolt, he raises his eyebrows at the scholar's words and watches as he stuffs the books in the bag, "What are they?" he asks.

Erven goes to the window, after the evil doll and opens the window further, looking where it may have gone, trying to spot it.

If he cannot see it, he goes back to searching the room further, examining the body. He says "I wish I could find my bow, why haven't we found it yet?"
Sho turns around as he hears the tumult, his eyes widen in bewilderment as Onyx swings his great blade down and the doll scurries away. His eyes follow the doll until it runs out of sight, the little footsteps echoing from the rooftop. Sho looks around, making sure nothing else jumps out at them, and slowly approaches Onyx, and puts a hand on his shoulder. "What did you see?" He asks, carefully and concerned, knowing the man wouldn't strike at a doll for no reason.
"Well it seems that old story about a living doll was not just a mere tale told to scare misbehaving children into doing as their parents wished.... If I was not so sure of this all being some kind of form of the nine hells I would think that someone put something strange into my pipe..." Bertolt mutters, shaking his head as he reaches for the shortsword once more.
Sho narrows his eyes thoughtfully, trailing behind Onyx's line of sight out of the window, into the mist and the dark night, and the dissipating scuttling sound of the doll scurrying away above them. That was bizarre. Sho thinks to himself, but the house has been pulling on everyone's nerve.
"Do you think that the doll is what was causing us to here the voices of children? It would not be to difficult for me to believe that is what we heard from the hall." Bertolt says as he looks to the others to see where they would like to go next as for the most part they have been leading the way.
Onyx leads you to door B. Listening in, you hear nothing. You don't notice any traps around either. Sho and Bertolt - are you holding torches? It's quite dark in here... Alternatively, you could light the lamps in the sconces that are on the walls....

While waiting for a response to his question from Bertolt, Talion moves the chest to the southeast corner in the corridor just outside the room they investigated, and places the paintings on top, uncertain if he wants to risk damaging them.

Onyx moves to the door. He's unsettled by the doll but clearly more irritated that it escaped. Once everyone's attention is towards the door, he will open it.

"The scroll for a healing spell that should be of great use. As for the bag it is called a Bag of Holding which allows us to carry great weight up to 500 pounds or so." Bertolt explains as he moves to light a torch.
@Bert - as you all look at the door, your gaze is drawn to the lock. You recognize some of the design on it as being the same as the key you found earlier......

The room seems clear, the doll has disappeared for now, though you're not sure for how long.
