Sho almost laughed at the elf's suggestion. If his magic had worked... they wouldn't be here, would they?
"How many times had the man taken the hit for you? Had he backed out even once?" He starts, his voice low and hushed. He did not agree with the holy warrior, but he respected him. The man lived up to his ideals, and his devotion to Lathander.
And the elf...runs away for self-preservation and leaves a dying man behind, when others need his cover. Is this the kind of men Sehanine Moonbow had chosen? If so, then perhaps he completely misjudged her. He admits this to himself bitterly. He draws out his blade, stands firm to face the ghasts.

Finally able to act without fear of being eaten alive, Talion turns back to face the troll. He manages to muster enough courage for a curse, then lunches an arcane bolt at it before moving further up the corridor, to give him a chance to attack once more, in case it fells Sho as quickly as it felled Onyx.

Attack: 12 Damage: 13 + 1 (necro, good against trolls) + 2 (bludgeon)

Seeing the huge swathe of live bodies in the corridor, Talion might be brave enough to loiter at D9, peeking around the corner at the troll.
Talion moves from E9 to D9.
(( We're gonna die without landing a hit on this thing ))
[lol, surprised no one has mentioned their knowledge yet to you, at least as you run by they could say something haha]
Talion - the warlock does some weird warlock-y things in the air and curses G1 in front of him [i'm guessing because you didn't specify]. The horrible visage sneers at you as you intone your foul words! You feel the security given by sanctuary spell get ripped away, like a warm blanket in a cool room, as you put your curse on the creature. It must have spooked you a bit because as you raise your hand to fire your bolt - the combination of adrenaline and your companions in front blocking your efforts - cause you to miss the mark!
[if you move to D9, great, noted. If not, please be specific - I can't do much with "mights" and "maybes". :)
Erven, through gritted teeth, says "There is such a thing as a tactical retreat you know. Choke points, from fighting multiple undead before, you have to limit to one point. But I guess you would just be happy to ease us all into death, wouldn't you. Would that make Vecna happy?" He says this last with a growl. Erven feels Talion slip by him and run down the corridor, opening up his flank to G1.
"We could have worked together to make a plan. Talion and you casting your spells to make them less likely to hit. But that isn't going to work now, we are going to die." He states, full of anger.
He has his shield in place, whip out, and attacks G1. He leaves Sho to handle G2 right in front of him.
Attack: 25 Damage: 7
(Erven is at E12, if ok with Bert, he tapped him on the shoulder and moved forward to attack, Bert to D12)
Erven drops his bow and brings the whip to bear on G1. Erven's aim is spot on, the force of the whip opening Mr. Durst's skull. The creature howls in pain and anger.
G2 (Mrs. Durst) huffs and growls at Sho, who is currently concentrating on a protection spell. The ghast can smell the cloying odour surrounding the disgusting priest and screams in defiance. Madame Durst attacks with her claws: Attack:18Damage:11 ...**if it is a hit, make a Constitution saving throw, DC10. Failure = paralyzed for one minute. ...
“Us casting spells to cover you while you run - this is what you call ‘tactical retreat’? Ah, then I completely misunderstood.” Sho scoffed.
“Tell me,” he says flatly, catching the sight of paralyzed paladin out of the corner of his eyes, “who do you think the ghasts will go after when they can’t get to us?”

Sho's shortsword attack misses the shrieking Madame Durst.
End of Round 3!
Round 4:
G1closes into range with Erven and the stench cloud follows him: Bert make a constitution save (DC10) or poisoned! Mr. Durst screams at Erven and will again try to shred the elf to bits with his claws (disadvantage due to Bertolt's very unkind words): Attack: 8Damage: 6 **if it is a hit, make a Constitution saving throw, DC10. Onyx is still thinking of all the ways to get back at you. Onyx, you see a creature push forward out of the gloom - Lucky Bear! The dog comes over and whines and licks your face clean. It's humiliating but at least you don't feel it. For Onyx only...
Quite the situation we're in, wouldn't you say? a voice says.
Lucky Bear whines then sniffs the air. Then she growls! 9. .........
Bertolt is up! Followed byLucky Bear, Erven, and Talion!!! atk 8 LB init 9
Onyx is staring into the darkness, frustrated and impotent. Has even Lathander abandoned me? Why else would I be subjected to this? At least Sho seems to truly gain power from his god. How much of my success has been divine? Is there anyone worth my devotion?
For a brief moment in the shadows he thinks he sees snake eyes. . . his vision clears as Lucky Bear emerges from the shadows. Despite his situation, there is just the slightest sense of relief.
For Lothar:
Onyx is growing somewhat adept at mental conversation at this point. The voice is at least some measure of comfort. His anger ebbs.
Aye. I had hoped I could show you a broken curse, your death and the children avenged. I just wasn't strong enough. Selfish as it is, I am glad you are here. At least I won't be alone when I die.
“Hmm,” Sho muses. The gash that Madame Durst clawed open is bleeding, pain radiating down to his shoulder and his spine. He takes a breath in and readjusts his grip on the sword.
His hands are shivering now, he can feel the paralysis creeping into his muscles to seize control, but the pain is keeping him awake. So he lets it in.
“Looks like the dog is more loyal than you.” He wants to laugh, but the pain made him grit his teeth, and his remark comes out more like a whisper.

Bertolt will back away from the stench slightly but grits his teeth and ignores the smell from the creature. Pulling out his lute he begins to whisper out a strange melody, focusing on G1 as he casts Dissonant Whispers
It will take 8 or half if it fails a dc 14 wis save.
Seeing the welcome retreat/death of the troll that had been chasing him, and hearing the sounds of battle from the south, Talion advances to the intersection and tries to help Sho by launching an arcane bolt at the other troll.

Sho raises his shield up to fend of the slabbering form of former Mrs. Durst in front of him, while his fingers begins working under the shield again as soon as he sees Bertolt's spell take effect and create a gap - enough for him to get a spell in.
