A half-day's march brings you to the foothills. It is noon when you arrive at the foothills, which are tall, even for foothills. They are heavily wooded, at least compared to the purple mountains beyond them, which have a tree line. You may forge ahead or make camp. If you forge ahead, Folsorm may make a Survival check. If you make camp, you must make 4 separate perception checks for watch duty.
Stoopeed agrees with a nod of the head. Then, still looking at his new axe, says: “Thank you, my friend. I will find my joie-de-vivre again by slaying ennemies of our quest. And if I fail, maybe a noble with a name that rhymes with “Futon” will loose his head. “
You begin making the climb up the hills, with Folsorm deftly finding finding solid footing and cover from prying eyes. As dark closes in, you see the glow of fires from more than a mile away and the sound of very deep voices speaking lazily. Do you wish to camp, move on, or recon?
Stoopeed observes: "Aye! With those low-baritone voices, either those are big creatures over there by the camps, or they have balls the size of water melons. . . Or both. I don't feel at ease camping here. I recon we should...eee..recon."
Stifling a yawn and looking anxiously in the direction of the baritone voices, Digg eventually nods. "As much as I would like to rest my weary legs and alight my pipe, you're right. Let us carry on."

Perhaps it’s his leonine senses, but Lyoko can smell the metallic tang of fresh blood wafting from the direction of the ogre camp. The camp fire and smell suggest the ogres are butchering something for a meal.

Lyoko agrees, "Yes, Digg is right. We should be on our way. These giants likely won't kill their selves."

Digg groans, rubbing his short, bandy legs. "If we must," he sighs.

Lyoko agrees with Stooped, might be a bad spot to camp before we know what's going on.
