"Which way should we go? It might be worth trying to climb up the chimney to continue our surprise! Grol or Ramon would you care to try the climb first?"
OOC: Can Grol make it? 3ft is pretty narrow for a Half-Orc + Armor + Warhammer/Shield. If the DM thinks he can make it, Grol will attempt a climb. Although I have an idea, if the rest of the group can stealth, I can make a lot of noise and pull whatever might be up there to us. I would imagine that the rest of the team should have advantage on their attacks while Grol draws fire.
The chimney opens up on the west side of the room. Sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of this large cave. A large opening leads north down what is probably a set of steps, the roar of falling water echoing from beyond. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder. Two goblins lounge by the fire, sleeping away from the fire are a large bugbear and a dire wolf.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Ramòn scrambles up the rope to join his companions, getting ready to go after the two goblins if they notice them all and hoping the waterfall is masking any noise

OOC: Once everyone's up here I say we silently do some silent knife-work on those goblins. if we can take them out, then we can launch a ranged attack on the Bugbear and the Dire. Thoughts?
Alternatively, we could launch a ranged attack on the Bugbear and Dire right now, while we still have surprise, and leave the goblins to Ramon. Unless we have someone expert in stealth, we are one unsettled stone (bad stealth check) away from losing surprise.
Eldon also has an idea about taking some water and freezing it in a large puddle in front of the party before we attack. The idea is that any advancing melee attackers will run the risk of slipping while we shoot at them.
On the off-chance that a battle ensues while I'm preoccupied with... well, work. I'll make my initiative roll as well my attack roll (assuming we stick with ShadIns plan and long range the Bear and Dire). Consider the attack pending the coordination of the group. (Grol will be attacking the Bugbear).

Sorry about this - just added the To Hit roll which made the dice gods angry...
The chimney appears to be about 3 feet wide.

Thoughts?
It's a tight fit but it is wide enough to attempt to climb. You see that it's about 30 feet to the top.
Athletics Check for the climb
Grol examines the opening, rubbing his chin. After careful consideration, Grol thinks he should be able to fit with careful climbing.
Athletics Check: 18
OOC: WHY can't I get those roles during combat???? LOL
Grol easily moves up the chimney without making much noise. At the top the chimney opens into a room.
Perception check
Grol, upon reaching the top of the opening, carefully peers into the chamber.

Does Grol have a rope to trow to other below him? If not, Eldon can lend him one.

Grol does have a rope (50ft Hempen). I could tie one end to a rock outcropping (DM permitting) and let the others climb up.
Grol ties the rope to a nearby stalagmite and drops the slack down the chimney.
Everyone climbing the chimney needs an athletics check but now has advantage.
Eldon tries to climb the chimney.

Waiting his turn Malakadin takes hold of the rope and begins to hoist himself up...

As the others climb the rope to the second chamber, Grol keeps a watchful eye on the sleeping enemies.
OOC: How far away are the sleeping beauties? Side note: Nice roles, everyone!
The Goblins are about 10 feet away. The bugbear and dire wolf are about 50 feet away on the other side of the room.

Grol, in anticipation of a ranged attack, prepares a javelin.
