I'm not sure how to put it in chronological order now. I added crit damage between the attack and initiative rolls and I think that is what triggered it. I have not been using the combat tab. I'll try to do that going forward.
Eldon was thrilled to see his scarecrow worked as well as he could possibly dream of. The goblins were completely confused by it, and this clearly idicated that that Eldon magics were as great as he always knew they were. What happened before was just a stroke of bad luck, nothing more.
Now the table were turned, and it was the goblins who were surprised and ambushed. Eldon was happy to see his ice spell worked beautifully and destroyed the goblin, even as grimaced on seeing the other two miracilously unhurt by all the ice shards flying everywhere. Now hopefully Ramon will do what hs has shown so proficient at doing and they can move on.
OOC: I do love the non-combat spells, as they have so many potential uses depending on the situation.
Sol maintains his location and points again with his crystal in hand, it glows again and another bolt of energy flies through the air towards the goblin as Sol casts Eldritch Blast Attack: Attack: 26 Damage: 21
Sol whispers to himself "Tymora, please strike this goblin down. I can't handle the poor luck of letting him get away."
Goblin 2 is reduced to his constituent elements by the Eldritch Blast. The field has been cleared in a matter of seconds. All quieter than a rough cough.
Eldon thought for a moment. There is always more-and-more-and-more goblins.
We probably don't need a scarecrow anymore, Eldon looked at the water shape and it returned to being a formless blob of transparent water, but he water can come in handy, so I am keeping hold of it.
Grol, disappointed by his poor marksmanship, gloomily walks over to pick up his javelin. As he approaches the javelin he finds a measure of comfort in how deeply it's penetrated the ground.
"Had that struck, it would have impaled that monster." He said with a slight grin.
Grol pulls the javelin out of the ground. Upon inspecting it, he sees a large split along the length. He tosses it to the ground and looks toward the goblin cave.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I think it's time to go in. Let me see if I can find another way besides the main entrance, if I can't then when everyone is ready I think we should just go in swinging. Open to suggestions, of course."After quietly saying this, Ramòn creeps over to the thickets screening the cave entrance and searches for a way to get through
The idea is if we can bust through and start swinging without the bushes making noise and alerting them, we might bypass some of their defenses. If the bushes are gonna be too noisy they might hear us coming, so perception (or survival, they're the same bonus) to find a good sneaky entrance: 22
Without scouring the woods around the area, there appears to be only one entrance. That entrance is a large cave mouth with a shallow stream flowing out of it on the left and a path leading in on the right.. The Thickets blocked your view of the Goblin's lookout point but not the entrance to the cave. You could sneak in without making any noise with the thickets.
Sol sees Ramon and Grol look around and come back to looking into the main cave entrance and says "Seems thats the only way then?" Then he whispers to himself "Let Bane guide us to Victory over these pesky weak Goblins."
Sol then starts heading toward the cave. He waves the group over and says "We can't be delaying anymore, we need to rescue Gundren!"
You enter the cave with Grol in the lead. Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where four wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf’s chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite. Past the stone steps the cave continues on.

Sorry sorry! Back now.
As his companions unleash their various attacks Ramòn charges in straight at goblin 4, swinging with both axes.
Attack 1: 23 damage 1: 8
Attack 2: 25 damage 2: 9
Dex save in case I need it to dodge the ice knife 1
Hope I don't need that roll then.
Puff - Air Genasi Fighter (1), Coliseum of Conquest (recruiting)
Ramon - Dwarf Ranger (2), Lost Mines of Phandelver
Ramon's axes make quick work of Goblin 4. He falls like so many of his kind. (The rolls there were weird but the attacks are good.)
Initiative for Goblin 2 7
Everyone goes before Goblin 2. Poor guy. (Malakadin, Sol, Eldon, Ramon, Grol, Goblin 2)
Malakadin rushes into combat, drawing his longsword as he runs and wrapping both hands around it's hilt, "Your blood will coat my blade beast!"
Attack: 7 Damage: 11
The Goblin snaps to and ducks out of the way of Malakadin's Longsword.
Sol is up.

Sol has a big smile pass across his face as he turns to Eldon, "Think there are any more lurking around? I think Tymora is smiling on me today!"
Sol then proceeds up to the clearing and points at the cave entrance "Let's go get Gundren".

Grol, having spent time in the wilds, also carefully attempts to see if there’s any advantageous spots to launch an attack from.

OOC: Ya lets head in! :D
