"This way,"confidently pointed Mihris towards the northern tunnel. "I can hear some voices there too. Do you hear it? Lets come closer." She did not move, though, allowing those more stealthy to scout ahead.
"I can be pretty quiet... but I'm in damp armour-I might squek. So scouting might be a good plan-though do you need light for that ? Otherwise... stumbling in and killing everything as fast as possible is an option. Probably not a lot of neutral parties left in here...." Red suggests, remaining in place as well until the group decides whether to go in quiet or loud.
I don't think Red has a lot of options left to offer for scouting in the dark. But if any of ya'll feel like jiving to it. He won't oppose. but fair chance other than a potential sacrafice somewhere. It seems likely that everyone is an enemy.
When Red mentions other neutral parties, Vanys raises an eyebrow at Redd and touches a wire in his pocket as he telepathically asks, "Any other allies we should expect to find here?" He also holds a finger to his mouth to signal that the group stays quiet and uses hand gestures on the off chance that something could hear them. Shifting his hand around his component pouch a bit, he finds a bit of fleece and creates a miniature visual to represent the forking tunnels that he had seen ahead and gives the southern one a blue glow. Switching back to the wire, he telepathically sends a message to Red, "Even if we decide to just go in and kill everything, surprise can sometimes make all the difference." Turning back to his illusion, he points to the tunnel with the blue glow and then points to himself and mimes moving quietly. Looking to the group inquiringly, he would understand if the group didn't trust him to be quiet after his earlier mishap, but he figured he should at least offer.
(OOC: Red versus Redd is going to make my head spin for a little while until I get more used to it.)

Mia reached her hand to Vanys, infusing him with her divine energy. The little elf shows her smile and unwaving faith to her friend . (Go Van!) Says Mia, moving her lips without speaking out. (Believe yourself and follow your heart)
Then she moves back to the human couple and whispers to them. (The lookout told us that their leader is a priest or priestess of Auril. They are also the only ones gifted with the Winter Witch's miracle. Our number one target. As soon as we find who they are, focus our fire upon them, cut out their concentration, and take them out from the battle. ) Mia doesn't waste her prayer to the fanatics of Auril. But she does hope that her friend, Gerard, isn't the priest they must take down.
(OOC: Mia gives Vanys Guidance and advises him to use Inspiration.)
((Assuming Vanys creeps forward after Mialee casts Guidance.))
Quietly stepping ahead into the darkness, the sorcerer attunes himself to the shadows around in order for his sight to reach further ahead, seeing the dull grey cavern walls of the twisting tunnel to the north, and the wide opening to the south. Shining an eerily scintillating blue glow, the chamber has thick layer of rime covering all of its walls. You feel a chill into your bones as your eyes find the rest of this room, the chamber has parchments nailed to the frozen walls, all around a crude ice carving of a horned owl visage on the frozen sheet that covers the southern wall, over which burns an eerie blue-lighted candle. On the corridor to the north, you can see flickers of reflected torchlight and still faintly hear distant voices mostly covered by the rushing waters.
As Vanys creeps forward, he telepathically relays to Mia, "There doesn't seem to be anybody in the southern chamber, although we are definitely moving in the right direction." As he says this, he continues creeping down the northern corridor, just far enough to get an angle so that he might be able to spot the voices without them spotting him.
(OOC: He is essentially trying to angle himself so that he would be outside of the 60-foot darkvision radius most creatures have, but within 120 feet so that he could spot them. If it is possible...)

(Red doesn't have any specific action currently as an FYI. He's letting Vanys do what he thinks he can. Is simply prepped to run in if it goes sideways)
Vanys advances as silently as a shadow across the twisting tunnel, he reaches a corner where he can see a bridge made completely out of ice crossing the gap over the creek 10 ft. below. Lots of piercing marks over the bridge clearly tell of crampon-wearing steps over it, as do the boots left by a pile of wooden crates at the end of the bridge. Beyond the crevasse, torchlight flickers at the side of an old and worn tapestry hanging on a wall, the art so faded you can barely discern it from afar, but correctly guess that it has something to do with owls and wintery themes. A wooden door blocks a small dug tunnel to the west at the end of this area, no one can be seen around. The low voices, further subdued by the rushing waters, can barely be heard coming from somewhere far beyond that door.
((Sorry for the delay / Moved Mihris' token only so that the candle-lit chamber would remain in sight 🙂))
Vanys points his finger back to the others and whispers, "The path is clear up to the room with the glow. I am going to try and cross the bridge ahead." With that, the half-elf steps up to the edge of the bridge and swaps his shoes out for the (snow?) boots. Once the boots are firmly on, Vanys glances back at the hallway that he just passed through and attempts to recreate the image of that cavern wall to cover anything that is passing over the bridge so that it just appears to look like empty ice bridge and the back of the wall. He then ducks low so that he fits under the illusion he created to mask himself and attempts to quietly cross the ice bridge.
(OOC: Not sure what checks are necessary for this, so I figured I'd wait before rolling anything.)

Vanys nods and then frowns and looks at the crampons on the boots that are on the other side of the bridge. "I can keep up an illusion that will cover anyone that is crossing the bridge if they keep low, but I fear without climbing equipment it would be difficult to cross the bridge at all." He will stand at the edge of the bridge and keep up the facade of the back wall to make it appear that there is nothing on the bridge for now.

(near as I can tell we have no crampons and the ones they used are across the way yes? I am also assuming "Cold Weather Gear" didn't come with crampons then.)
As there seems to be a general discussion, Red joins the party noting the issue and the situation. "Don't suppose any of you have magical telekensis to just pull those over here huh?" Taking stock of his baggage, "I don't really see a method for it quietly, but for not quietly.... I have hammers, pitons, rope. I can also melt the area...but I assume that isn't ice on a bridge so much as a bridge of ice.." Looking around, "I can try for it with the rope to catch me.. alternatively I could heat the ball bearings and scatter them. THey'll melt slightly and at least help with some texturing when it refreezes...that takes time .
As soon as Red says, "magical telekinesis," Vanys mimes slapping his forehead and grins. Wiggling his fingers a bit, he mutters an arcane phrase and summons a spectral glowing purple hand that he sends across the bridge to grab a few sets of the boots. "Now that you mention it, I actually do have magical telekinesis. I had just forgotten about it. This might save us a significant bit of effort otherwise," Vanys adds glancing at Red. "But really, thanks for the reminder." With that said, Vanys will start to attempt to put one set of boots on.

Mia sends silent applause to Vanys. Her people, including Mia's own parents, regard arcane casters with suspicion. Vanys takes stock of his own innate abilities and starts to move the first pair of boots over, carried by a shadowy spectral hand. After a while standing in the area, eager to see his plan come to fruition, the sorcerer's attuned eyes are finally able to observe something else, for as the boots are being flown back to him he sees various barely visible glittering silvery lines loosely hanging from various points in the walls of the area in front of him, before the bridge. He also notices he was about to touch one of these with his knee, had he taken but another step, something would certainly happen. You try to remember where have you ever seen something like this.
((Make me an Intelligence (Arcana) check. Since the others approach, they can join in too. For some reason, Red has advantage on this one. I'll start referring to the NPC Redd as his surname, Gaoch, to avoid confusion xD))
"Silvery lines? Hanging? You mean like a spider web?" Mihris froze in place trying to see those lines. She had no idea what it could be but would be happy to jog someone's memory with questions. ("Help" and "Guidance" from Mihris to whoever is trying)
