Gell rasps as he flips the pike around.

The attempt made, he then shifts around in the shadows.

Gell uses his free interact with object to place his mask among the Hedges at E-10, centering the darkness at that point. Then he moves to E-11, ending his turn within capturing range of the flag.
Action: Gell Casts Booming Blade and strikes Nara. To Hit: 14 For:12 Piercing Damage. 2 Automatically Failed Death Saves. She will also suffer an additional 2 Thunder damage should she take the movement action before the start Gell's next turn.
Nimbus considers his options and decides to go through Sha'kar, but the elf will not budge. Sha'kar takes the opportunity to strike a final blow. His blade lands with a thunderous crash and Nimbus finally falls.

The crowd, though exhausted, explodes with a cheer that shakes the very earth.
Medics emerge to tend to Runthiel and carry away the other, numerous fallen contestants. Cebak, Runthiel, Chanting, and Nimbus come to late into the evening after most of the staff has already left. They each gain a prize of 80 gold and 400 experience.
Raebite, Wilhelm, and Zumric are revived and brought down with Sha'kar to the prize room. Each gains a prize of 200 gold and 600 xp, advancing to level-3. Inside the prize room...

There are also spell scrolls, every first level spell is present (as well as spell scrolls of a level for which a magic user of the characters new level would have slots for), and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.
Upper Tier:
The victor may choose instead, an item from a magically infused chest that summons 10 randomly selected magic items to choose from (rarity determined by level). Alternatively they may exchange a magic item for another item of their choosing of the same rarity or lower, if the administrator has the requested item in his extensive collection. (I’ve been SUUUUPER lucky. I figured we’d lost when I came down to me vs 2 of you, especially with nimbus having more health and 1 higher AC, and runthiel throwing repeated attacks with advantage that pretty much all would have dropped me if they connected)
Sarah side steps the dwarfs first swing but is caught off guard by his second swipe and take a hit. "So that's how you want to play this game is it." Feeling her zephyr strike spell fail she recast it and steps back to L5 to loose an arrow. She then makes her way to M11 to capture the flag. Attack: 23 Damage: 9 Colossus slayer 7 Zephyr strike 6 (not sure if colossus and zephyr get the added damage dice due to the crit but if they do here are the crit damage rolls colossus 2 & zephyr 2)

The arena shapers pass through changing the battlefield in an impressive display of skill and power. They leave a level field marked with large boulders, low stone walls, and tall wooden palisades.
