Pterafolk 1 lands, comes over to the hole that the giant centipede just came out of and looks down. It can't see Phillip and Azaka yet as they are still 25 ft down the dark chimney. The pterafolk says "I bite 'em if more come out boss! Caw! Caw!" and it stands over the hole and will ready its attack if it sees anyone else come up the chimney. The pterafolk is essentially blocking the hole now and has a readied attack should anyone get within 5ft of the mouth of the exit of the chimney.
The pterafolk boss squeezes through the opening to the tower. That door is close to 10 ft high, and so that pterafolk was able to wiggle in there and fly above Got-ipede and then proceed to attack. It starts to flap its wings violently and is cawing very loudly at the giant centipede, seemingly trying to defend it's next. "GET OUT! GET OUT! CAW! CAW!" and it bites and claws at Got-ipede.
It's like a tornado of biting and clawing that the pterafolk do to Eku's body. Some of them hit, some of them miss, but she starts to laugh in a very high-pitched manner, almost like they are tickling her. She yells out to everyone "THEY CANNOT HARM ME!" the pterafolk flap around her with a look of horror in their eyes.
Gotur I think that bite and the last claw gets you? The bird has a good angle being above you and so your got-ipede form vanishes with your half-orc body appearing. (-16 total? 4 from the centipede and then 12 from Gotur?)
((was keeping the Eku damage immunity a secret as it makes this a lot easier! We will say she wasn't 100% sure which is why she didn't say anything earlier))
Alton gives the aarakocra a quick side glance (does it seem hostile or anxious or something like that? Just a quick peek, by no means should it be something that takes his entire turn, and the amount of information can reflect that I think.)
Then, seeing that the pterafolk seem to have no interest in coming down to the third level, he quickly moves towards Evo in an attempt to gain a vantage point on the enemies. If he is able to see them, Alton will take a shot with his crossbow at pterafolk #4 (sneak attack included because of Eku.)
All Phillip can see is one of the pterafolk blocking the exit to the chimney. He doesn’t think the creature sees him though...
With his magical-darkvision, he quickly looks around to try and find a nook, or a cranny, or a little ledge, within a few feet of him, where he can remain unseen but also rest enough to have both hands free to fire a bow. ((Or maybe he can Van Damme splits the chimney with his froggy legs and still draw his bow?!)).
If he can, he’ll fire his bow from this unseen position. If not, he’ll shuffle up to within 20ft and chuck a dart instead ((only difference is the damage dice and range I think)).
If the creature that Phillip shot isn’t dead, he would like to ‘Action Surge’, and fire again! ((If it dies on the first shot though, he’ll hold off on the surge)).
Alton, the aarakocra seems anxious, yes. Not hostile though. You then move towards Evo and you can indeed see the 3 pterafolk surrounding Eku. You take aim and fire your arrow, and it sticks into pterafolk #4's head, killing it instantly and it drops to the ground dead (along with your arrow embedded in its head).
Phillip, I love the idea of the van-damme splits in the chimney! And as Spider mentioned, Azaka could also assist with holding you up. You take aim and your shot is true. The pterafolk is looking down the 'dark' hole, and all of a sudden your poison arrow hits its face, jolting its head back and likely bringing it off its feet a bit. It takes the 21 damage. Now for it's CON save, (the 3 in OOC) and the creature also takes the poison damage (3, for a total damage of 24).
The action surge finishes the job. The second arrow comes in and this time hits the pterafolk's eye, penetrating the brain and killing it. Phillip moves closer to the opening, now 10ft away.
((I think any dice that are part of an attack's damage are rolled again on a crit. Including the favored foe. Since the poison is based on a CON save though, I would say that damage is not doubled.))
Eku says telepathically to Alton"Nice shot, kid." and she tries the same attack as she did earlier on pterafolk #5. She bites at it: Attack: 28 Damage: 13
her teeth dig deep into the pterafolk, and her poison enters its bloodstream. It freezes up in mid air, and then falls to its death (damage in OOC).
((I forgot to answer Gotur's question about the sky - no, the magic fire above you is blocking the night sky. You also notice that this fire is putting out tremendous heat and the pterafolk is wincing a little at the heat as it flies above you, although not taking damage at that distance.))
((Azaka isn't going to be able to do much with Phillip there, it will be hard for her to get around him in that chimney. She will likely hold action or she might try and pop out of the hole, but I won't be able to make the actual post until later. Check a few posts up for the view!))
((OOC: ah oh no! Lol... I thought you could move through an ally’s space as difficult terrain. But I guess it makes sense if he’s filling the chimney. Don’t forget he’s ‘small’ though too. ;-) But I think it’s maybe quite realistic though if they can’t pass in the chimney. Sorry everyone!))
((I was thinking about all of that too... she might actually be able to get by especially with her climbing magic. So, Gotur, she likely will be able to get by and pop out of the hole if that affects your turn))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((I was going to have him 'go big' and call up a storm to blast the foes from the sky, but with only two left and it requiring some fiddly positioning, I'll keep it simple.))
Gotur steps to the northwest, extending is staff up as a spiky tendril tries to grasp the pterafolk and yank them to the floor.

((oh wow! 2 days! where does the time go!?))
Evo, the mace does indeed reach the pterafolk. It smacks it and the creature flaps around as the radiant flames then sears the thing as well. (-19)
Eku responds to Evo telepathically "this one and the leader. It looked different. It's with Gotur now. I'm headed to help."
Given Azaka's climbing magic as well as the size of Phillip, I'm now convinced that she can shimmy up and around Phillip and come through the hole to the top. So that is what she does. She's growling as she reaches the top of the tower, seeing the pterafolk trying to attack Gotur. She had to dash to make it up into the room, but her goal is to take the pterafolk's attention off Gotur. "RRROOAAARRR!!! COME GET ME!!! WHERE'S MY MASK!!" and she glares at the pterafolk 'boss'. It kind of hisses back.
Gotur, the pterafolk manages to swat the tendril away with its wing.
The aarakocra, now free from the ropes, hovers in flight and then starts to screech trying to talk to Alton and Evo but they likely don't understand him. He uses his movement to fly out of the cave over Alton and Evo, and then before it dashes to escape, it sees Eku. It starts to screech wildly when he sees her, and she will respond on her turn. (I think her response to Evo's question is enough for her off-turn speech)
The pterafolk around Eku tries to retreat after realizing its attacks do not harm her. It actually tries to escape altogether. (this one isn't a very loyal creature, haha) and Eku takes her AOE. Attack: 19 Damage: 10
The pterafolk boss is indeed distracted by Azaka entering the room, and so it focuses its attacks on the weretiger.
((there's also a small fire in the tower on the ground as per the map for warmth in the nest))
Pterafolk 4 tries to bite and claw out at Eku
Bite: Attack: 12 Damage: 7 Claws: Attack: 24 Damage: 8 Attack: 18 Damage: 7
Pterafolk 3 and 5 divebomb towards Eku and do the same attacks. Bite: Attack: 8 Damage: 5 Claws: Attack: 19 Damage: 5 Attack: 24 Damage: 11
Bite: Attack: 17 Damage: 6 Claws: Attack: 5 Damage: 5 Attack: 10 Damage: 4
