Carric motions for the others to come forward. He points to the six doors that ajar and then speaks quietly. "Maybe more skeletons there?"he says. "Let me see what is ahead."
Carric then creeps a little bit further toward the far wall of the room, trying to get a better idea of what lies in that direction.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Here Foxford, let me take a look at that! I'll have you fixed up in no time." She passes him three berries, "Eat these and I'll see about patching you up." She pulls out some odd smelling mud from her herbal kit and applies it to the injury,. She then wraps that in some 'medicinal' flowers from her hair to cover it up and reduce the smell and says, "There! Wash that off in a bit and you'll be perfect again!" He is left with a slightly pretty, tribal-band looking wrapping on his arm. (in truth the berries do all the healing, but the RP is fun. Medicine23Nature21 to maybe see if it looks a mess or ornate?)
Eerie then moves to investigate the fountain. (is there water in it? If so she will try to determine if there is anything in it and if it seems clean. survival21 )
13 stands motionless in the room whilst the short battle commences. Even though he is able to see and hear everything around him, a momentary seizure overcomes all other functions, and louder than everything else he can make out the sound of his old masters' voice. Commanding him to obey and be still. It must be a previous memory. A scar inside his mind from his prior servitude.
He regains control quickly and lifts his head up to see Eerie helping Foxford with his injury.
"I am sorry friends. I thought I had already overcome my bouts of mind collapse. For some reason, ever since breaking away from my masters bond, the memories still haunt me and an almost automated response controls my body. They are becoming less infrequent and much shorter thankfully, so I am hoping with time that I can eradicate them altogether. This is one of the main reasons I chose to travel here. By gaining knowledge of any unknown magical origin, I can then perhaps find a way to remove this binding and become finally free.
Please forgive me. In more dire circumstances it could have been the difference between Foxford standing strong and being bandaged, or laying dead on the floor.
I will do my utmost to be strong for you going forward."
Eerie's bandaging is an excellent piece of work, even if the flowery decoration seems slightly out of place on the muscular, slightly furry arm.
@Eerie:
You notice a mostly-worn set of engravings on the dried fountain; it appears to be in the same language that was on the walls in the cage room where you met Meepo
@Carric:
You notice tracks in the dust here, both rat and humanoid. Whilst the rat tracks are recent, the humanoid tracks are about a month old; four sets going north and three returning south. As you advance north you see in the cobblestone floor a trapdoor blocked open by iron spikes, just after the six ajar doors. The north wall holds a dry fountain carved with an overarching diving dragon and a faint rotten stench pervades the room. Remaining absolutely silent as you advance, you stop as you come level with the first set of doors; something is scratching behind at least half of them, but does not appear to have heard you.
She looks over to 13. "My friend you've already aiding saving my life once, every day past that is a gift. No need for apologies to me." Then looks to dragonborn, "Notian, would you aid me in reading this? There are some markings on the fountain that look the same style as the others." Eerie gestures towards the markings in the fountain.
Foxford smiled down at Eerie, "Thank you kindly" he popped a berry in his mouth, then another, then the third, "the..zee...are...dee...li...shush" he said with his mouth full, cigar still bobbing up and down as he spoke. After Eerie finished up, and Foxford swallowed the last bit of the berries he looked down at her handiwork. He liked it, it might even catch an enemy off guard before he hits em with a maul.
Eerie's asks the others while Notian is looking at the fountain and as Carric is too far forward to ask directly, "Do you think it improper to check over the skeletons after Carrics service? They may have old possessions that could prove useful to us, if anything."
Carric slips back to the others to report his findings. "There is something behind several doors up ahead--I can hear scratching. Maybe more of those?"He gestures toward the piles of broken bones. "Also there are fairly fresh rat tracks up ahead. Four humanoids passed through perhaps a month ago--four went in, three came back. Further up there is a trapdoor in the floor, propped open. There's also another dried up fountain too. And it smells bad...rotten up there."
“Wow” Notian says in amazement, and hurriedly begins to gather some up into his waterskin.
”it says in the book of Ian that the best way to identify something is to lick it or drink it.” He brings the water skin up to his mouth. Sniffs it quickly looks up to the sky and mumbles a short prey, before taking a sip..
Notian seems to wince at the taste, then convulse slightly before emitting a small yelp. At the same time, a thin jet of flame erupts from his throat towards the ceiling, flares out and fades away.
@Notian:
You gain an awareness of the liquid's powers. After drinking a full portion, you can use a bonus action to exhale fire at a target within 30 feet of you. The target must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The effect ends after you exhale the fire three times or when 1 hour has passed.
“Crikey, that’s a spicey one!!!.” Notian wipes the sweat from his brow. “Wasn’t expecting that, could come in very handy though. It seems to give you the ability to breath fire, tastes a bit like licking a door handle...not that I’d know that of course...I’m mean who licks door handles...” Notian starts to feel more awkward as he notices the group looking at him. “So.....where we going team.”
Eerie looks over, noticing what Notian is about to do, then before she can get the words, "No...don't.." out of her mouth entirely, she watches in horror as he imbibes the liquid. Almost as expected he starts to seem ill to her. She drops to the floor digging through her pouch, picking through bits of herbs and flowers, looking frantically for something to cause him to purge the liquid before it does further harm. She looks back at him, just in time to see him spurt fire, and although it seems natural almost for the dragonborn to do this, he seems to credit the liquid. "Yes mother. Your wish has finally come to fruition - I know entirely how you feel now," she whispers to herself almost reverently. She more calmly packs her herbalism kit pack together as if she meant to do this, and looks to Notian, "So, it seems my dragonborn friend, that this is not the normal breath weapon you use? Not a mere draconic reaction to drinking something unusual? Will this work for others do you you think, or just you as a Dragonborn?"
And as an afterthought waiting for Notian's response, "Has anyone checked the stone relief door in this room? It does sound like more danger ahead, perhaps we should check this one before moving on to avoid things at our back?" She will move over to inspect it if they haven't yet. (I didn't notice anything but correct me if I'm wrong?" "I am happy to follow wherever the group goes from here. I would like to collect some of that liquid myself, if you think it would work for me, but an sorely lacking in an appropriate container beyond my own waterskin at the moment."
Carvings on the western door show skeletal dragons. There is an inscription on the door which again seems to be in the draconic alphabet (you have read so much recently that you are at least recognising it). Within 5 feet of the door, the air is noticeably cooler, and the door itself is cold to the touch. There is no obvious lock or handle.
Eerie will resist touching the door and briefly admires the artwork. "These skeletal dragons depicted on this door are interesting, but I'm not sure how to open it or if we want to, its VERY cold, " she says with a shiver, "More of that writing here too."

Yes Eerie, of course let me take a look...
@Notian:
The carving says 'Let there be fire' in Draconic.

It says “let there be fire” maybe it’s the heating controls? It is a bit chilly in here.
The moment Notian speaks the words, Reddish liquid begins to well from the diving dragon’s mouth, slowly accumulating in the basin.
“Wow” Notian says in amazement, and hurriedly begins to gather some up into his waterskin.
