Hi, I am playing D&D 5e and i planned to use this spells.
The idea to combine these things is the following:
Combination # 1:
Before long breaks use the spell "Glyph of Warding" and Add "Explosive Runes" to one of the ammunition. (Suggestions about the spell trigger are accepted)
During combat use Magic Stone in the "special" ammunition and then carry out the attack.
This is where I have doubts regarding the mechanics:
If the coup comes in, the formula would be the following in my opinion.
1d4 + your spellcasting ability modifier, when this ends the activation of the “Explosive runes” begins.
I feel that the target that is attacking should not do ST, but if it has to, it would do it at a disadvantage because it is in the center of the explosion.
And then the rest of the spell would happen.
¿Is this way of calculating damage okay or am I missing something?
Welcome to DDB. I can tell you are new here, because you didn't know that this site has the information you referenced from a rival site: sling, magic stone, glyph of warding.
Anyway, your biggest problem with this scenario is after spending 3 or more hours setting up those glyphs, you have this sentence from the first paragraph to deal with:
If the surface or object is moved more than 10 feet from where you cast this spell, the glyph is broken, and the spell ends without being triggered.
So... You definitely can't make launchable grenades this way. And the saving throw takes into account the high likelihood of the target being in the center of the effect, so there is nothing that should be changed about that (assuming that the target walked up to the glyph, since the glyph can't move).
