How would these two spells interact? I'm not suggesting that the Mirror Images would be Invisible, that is clearly not the intention and you would have to cast Mirror Image first anyway or it would cancel the Invisibility (I'm assuming a regular Invisibility spell for this).
If someone tried to attack you, what would happen? RAW they would just have Disadvantage to hit you but how would they even know you were there to begin with? They would see three of you instead of the normal four but none of them are the real you. Would a roll still be required to shunt an attack off to the duplicate? RAW it would but that wouldn't make a lot of sense. Anyone run into this interaction before?
Honestly, I'd just let it ride. Most forms of invisibility pop when you make an attack or cast a spell, so in combat it's not radically tipping the balance. You can justify them happening to hit the invisible one with either blind luck or- considering Invisibility would have to be cast after Mirror Image- them trying to swing for the empty space around the illusions.
RAW it would but that wouldn't make a lot of sense.
That is definitely RAW, but the interaction is logically kind of funny in that regard. If they are attacking what they think is you, they would not have disadvantage, but visually, they would hit the mirror image 100% of the time until the images are all gone. If they are attacking based solely on non-sight senses, then the mirror images should have no effect whatsoever, and it should be a disadvantage attack against an unseen opponent.
But yeah, as written they get disadvantage and they might hit the mirror image. That is what you said, so I think you have the right of it.

Actually, they wouldn’t get disadvantage unless they first roll 16+ to determine who they hit, otherwise they are not attacking an invisible target
As the ace of rogues says, you first determine whether the attack targets the image or the person. Then, depending on which is targeted, you either roll with disadvantage for attacking the creature or a normal roll for attacking the image. This assumes the creature is invisible, and the images are not.
The mirror images mimic the target and when the target becomes invisible, the images become invisible as well. This preserves disadvantage, but it also means the mirror images would never be hit by anyone who cannot see them, per the last sentence in the spell's description. Weirdly, this seems to be RAI, per Jeremy Crawford's unofficial 2018 tweet.
The mirror images stay visible even though the target is not, and any attempts to attack the target are made at disadvantage by virtue of the fact that the target has the invisible condition even if though it (the illusions) can be seen. I don't care for this particular explanation.

I think this is where I would end up. Mirror Image activates when you are targeted and as they have their own AC you need to know if you are attacking a image or the real creature before you can decide if the attack hits/misses and thus I have no issues making that decision before the roll is made and thus there is no problem deciding on having disadvantage or not before the roll too.
One thing to note, I would also say that because you have images of you in your space you can never become "hidden", you'll only be "unseen".
I would say and I believe it is has been said other places that invisibility would render the images useless unless the enemy could see through the invisibility (and assuming not see through the images). If invisibility went away then the images would come into play.

"Not all those who wander are lost"

We have a few possibilities here:
