My players are closing in on Level 5, so I’m trying to give marks a crash course in Bastions.
Am I reading the rules for Armories right in that they make Defenders in a Barracks more effective, but don’t provide weapons or any mechanical benefit to the player/party?
Correct; 100 gp isn’t much for any armor players aren’t likely to have already acquired by that level, and there’s generally no need for additional weapons by that point either. The facility is meant to synergize with Barracks as a flavor/Bastion defense option rather than providing direct benefits to the player.
