spell sniper no longer works with archer form for stars druid . please fix this . i wanted to make a melee stars druid and this makes it quite tricky

its a mechanic problem though. because of the word changes to the feat.

I think what you're talking about specifically is the part of the feat that says:

Casting in Melee. Being within 5 feet of an enemy doesn’t impose Disadvantage on your attack rolls with spells.

While it's frustrating that this technically doesn't work with Archer Form (because despite being a spell attack, it's arguably not an "attack roll with spells") this isn't due to a change in the rules. The 2014 version of the feat didn't have that benefit in it at all.

I believe it was legacy crossbow expert that allowed such a thing. Maybe.

Yes, the 2014 version of Crossbow Expert removed that penalty from all ranged attacks (including ranged spell attacks) though the 2024 version limits it to just crossbow attacks.

I hope they fix it .

I suspect that the current version is the fixed version.
